  • How to send emails and avoid them being classified as spam

    Hello, sometimes I want to send newsletters to my customers. The problem is, that some of the emails get caught as spam messages. Mostly by Outlook at the client (even in my own Outlook 2007). Now I want to know what should be done to create "good" emails. I know about reverse lookup etc., but what about a unsubscribe link with an unique ID does that increase a spam rating? Regards, Uwe

  • OraOps10.dll loading problem

    Hello, I have ASP.NET web service built on windows 7 in 32 bit. All dependences of this service compiled in Release mode in x64 bit. Now, I'm installed it on windows 8 64 bit and when I'm access to this service I get error "Could not load OraOps10.dll". I doesn't succeed to find any thing about this problem with oracle client in context of x32-x64 bit incompatibility in internet. Have you any idea? Thank you very much.

  • DHCP Requests Failing

    Clients on our network recently started receiving this error when attemping to acquire an IP Address from our DHCP Server: "the name specified in the network control block (ncb) is in use on a remote adapter" The DHCP Server is a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine, most of the client are Win 7.     I'm using Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista and 7 for cross realm authentication using MIT Kerberos 1.6 but when i try to login with a user the KDC answers: (wireshark output) error_code: KRB5KDC_ERR_ETYPE_NOSUPP (14) ... e-text: BAD_ENCRYPTION_TYPE I want to know how can I change the encryption type method to be compatible with the KDC (i tried a XP client and it worked fine). (posted this yesterday on superuser, but I guess this is more a serverfault question) Can anyone help me on this ? Many thanks!

    We have a client who wishes to send files to us via SFTP (citing that FTP is inherently insecure). We have a Windows Environment (Windows 2003 Server). Currently, I'm reviewing copssh (OpenSSH for Windows, http://www.itefix.no/i2/copssh), and am looking for alternatives, or thoughts on copssh or any other SFTP option for Windows. The simpler to setup and administer, the better. I have never setup an SFTP host, before, so I'm curious what you all would recommend.

    Howdy, I just recently installed hyper-v server 2008 r2 on a dedicated server i have, but i'm having trouble enabling remote management. Running the HVRemote - http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/HVRemote - tool seems to have yielded some positive results, and all tests on the server pass (firewall, permissions, etc), but client-side things are not working. I'm stuck at this step : 5: - Simple query to root\cimv2 WMI namespace FAIL - Simple query failed Cannot perform simple query against root\cimv2 Anyone could help me figure this out? I'm almost giving up and installing XenServer... Thanks

    In order to consolidate all my email, I wanted to forward all my Gmail(2 accounts) to a new Live(Hotmail) account. I wanted all email arriving at my Gmail account to be forwarded to my Hotmail(easy enough) BUT I ALSO want all email arriving at Gmail to be replied back to sender with a message like: "Your email has been delivered BUT the user has moved onto [email protected] . Please further all communication to this email". Using Outlook as my email client, how can I work this out?

If i do "su - david" as root i see "No directory, logging in with HOME=/" which makes sense. Symlink doesn't help either. I have also tried with: Match group clients ChrootDirectory /var/chroot-home/%u X11Forwarding no AllowTcpForwarding no ForceCommand internal-sftp a dummy user root:~# tail -n1 /etc/passwd david:x:1000:1001::/var/chroot-home/david:/bin/sh This way if i don't change /var/chroot-home/david to root:root sshd complains about bad ownership or permission modes, and if i do, david can no longer upload/delete anything directly in his home while using sftp from filezilla.

  • Is there a way to make software available for remote installation in Windows Server?

    I've heard of folks having a sort of "software repository" which contains a database of product keys and then network installation media for operating systems and other Microsoft software, such as Office. With this, they were then able to join a computer to the domain and grant that user privileges to a set of software and then the client was able to use it either remotely or locally on their machine. I believe it installed from the server on to their local machine. Does anyone happen to know what this is?

  • Magento - Users unable to login from corporate networks with Bluecoat / F5 Load balancers

    Hoping someone has come across this issue before with Magento and corporate clients. We have two clients for our Magento site who both have their internal networks setup using bluecoat security devices and F5 load balancers. Some users within these networks are unable to login to Magento - Magento eventually is sending a 302 redirect to /index.php/ when users attempt to log in. Through our testing, the problem appears to be isolated to this setup - we can log into the accounts in question from anywhere outside of these networks without issue, and if the client tries to access the site without going through the F5 load balancer, they are able to log in successfully. Strangely enough, the issue only started occurring for the two sites the day after we introduced a system upgrade which added a new site to the Magento installation. The system upgrade should not have affected any standard login functionality, and as said, the problem does not appear to be with the users in question, but with where the users are accessing the site from. Initially we thought the issue might have something to do with communications between the client's networks and the network which the server was hosted on, so we've tried moving the server to different hosts, but this has not helped. I'm currently waiting for more info from the clients on exact devices / models used in their network setup. I will update this post if more information becomes avaliable. Magento version is enterprise edition of ver. 1.9.0.0 Does anyone know of any tucked away Magento settings that might be able to cause this kind of behavior? Experience with this kind of set-up and ideas for things to look at? All help and ideas for things to follow-up would be appreciated - as this is a current production issue for a large number of users. I will respond asap with any requests for additional information on the topic, but currently am not able to disclose any identifying information on the project in question, and/or the clients experiencing issues.   • Juniper not working on Windows 8.1

    I recently upgrade my laptop to windows 8.1 and now I can't run the Juniper terminal to connect to the company VPN. At the moment to click on the virtual machine it launche the terminal and afetr a few seconds a messages popup appears saying: juniper terminal services client has stopped working When I had windows 8 I was able to run Juniper without any problem. But in Windows 8.1 seems there are compatibilities issues. Any suggestion, solution or workaround? Thanks in advance

  • I want to set up a DynDNS service, what do I need to know?

Some of the devices need to be polled, and since the cellular carrier will usually assign changing IPs, I'm getting a gateway which has a Dynamic DNS client built in.     Sql 2000 - I am trying to connect from a PC w/ client tools that is on a domain, to a Sql Server 2000 box that is NOT on the domain using Windows Authentication. I thought I had done this in the past this by creating an account on the non domain PC with the same username/pwd I am logged in on the domain PC, but that doesn't seem to be working. I am specifically looking at using Windows Authentication, I know Sql Authentication works. Any ideas?

  • Wamp virtualhost with supporting of remote access

    To cut the long story short, I've setup a Wamp server with local virtual host for domain like sample.dev, now I've bind my static IP and port 80 to my Apache and asked the client to make some changes in his hosts file and add x.x.x.x sample.dev , I've also configured my httpd virtual host like this : <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAlias sample.dev DocumentRoot 'webroot_directory' </VirtualHost> Client can reach to my web server using the direct access by ip address, but when he tries using the sample domain looks like he gets in to some infinite loop. The firewall is off too. What would be the problem?! Thanks.

  • Cannot login to SQL Server 2008 R2 with Windows authentication

    When i try to connect to SQL Server (2008 R2) using Windows authentication: i cannot: Checking the Windows Application event log, i find the error: Login failed for user 'AVATOPIA\ian'. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error. Check for previous errors. [CLIENT: ] Log Name: Application Source: MSSQLSERVER Event ID: 18456 Level: Information User: AVATOPIA\ian OpCode: Task Category: Logon i can login to the computer itself using Windows authentication. i can log into SQL Server using the local Windows Administrator account. We can connect to 8 other SQL Servers on the domain using Windows Authentication. Just this one, whitch is the only one that is 2008 R2 is failing. So i assume it's a bug with *2008 R2. Note: i cannot logon locally, or remotely, using Windows authentication. i can login locally and remotely using SQL Server Authentication. Update Note: It's not limited to SQL Server Management Studio, standalone applications that connect using Windows authentication: fail: Note: It's not a client problem, as we can connect fine to other (non-SQL Server 2008 R2 machines): i'm sure there's a technote or knowledge base article describing why SQL Server 2008 R2 is broken by default, but i can't find it. Update 2 Matt figure out the change that Microsoft made so that SQL Server 2008 R2 is broken by default: Administrators are no longer administrators All that remains is to figure out how to make Administrators administrators. One of these days i'm going to start a list of changes around Microsoft's "broken by default" initiative. Steps to reproduce the problem How do i add a group to the sysadmin fixed server role? Here's the steps i try, that don't work: Click Add: Click Object Types: Ensure that you have no ability to add groups: and click OK. Under Enter the object names to select, enter Administrators: Click Check Names, and ensure that you are not allowed to add groups: and click Cancel. Click Browse..., and ensure that you have no ability to add groups: You should now still not have added any group to the sysadmin role. Additional information SQL Server Management Studio is being run as an administrator: SQL Server is set to use Windows Authentication: tried while logged into SQL with both sa and the only other sysadmin domain account (screenshot can be supplied for those who don't believe)
