• UITableViewCell repeating problem

  I have a UItableview with cells. Some cells have uilabels and some have uibuttons. The UIbuttons are created whenever the first character in an array is "^". However, the uibuttons repeat when i scroll down (appearing over the uilabel).. and then multiply over the uilabels when I scroll up. Any clues why? • Problem implementing Blinn–Phong shading model

  I did this very simple, perfectly working, implementation of Phong Relflection Model (There is no ambience implemented yet, but that doesn't bother me for now). I just get no specular reflections or they are so weak and/or are at the wrong place and/or have the wrong color. From the numerous wrong implementations I post some little code that already seems to be wrong. So I calculate my Half Way vector and my new specular light like so: Vec3 H = Vec3.mul(Vec3.add(L.normalize(), V), Vec3.add(L.normalize(), V).length()); float specularLight = Vec3.dot(H, N); With theese little changes it should already work (maby not with correct intensity but basically it should be correct). But the result is wrong. Here are two images. Left how it should render correctly and right how it renders. If i lower the shininess factor you can see a little specular light at the top right: Altough I understand the concept of Phong illumination and also the simplified more performant adaptaion of blinn phong I am trying around for days and just cant get it to work. Any help is appriciated. Edit: I was made aware of an error by this answer, that i am mutiplying by |L+V| instead of dividing by it when calculating H. I changed to deviding doing so: Vec3 H = Vec3.mul(Vec3.add(L.normalize(), V), 1/Vec3.add(L.normalize(), V).length()); Unfortunately this doesnt change much. The results look like this: and if I rise the specular constant and lower the shininess You can see the effects more clearly in a smilar wrong way: However this division just the normalisation. I think I am missing one step. Because the formulas like this just dont make sense to me. If you look at this picture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Blinn-Phong_vectors.svg The projection of H to N is far less than V to R. And if you imagine changing the vector V in the picture the angle is the same when the viewing vector is "on the left side". and becomes more and more different when going to the right. I pesonally would multiply the whole projection by two to become something similiar (and the hole point is to avoid the calculation of R). Altough I didnt read anythinga bout that anywehre i am gonna try this out... Result: The intension of the specular light is far too much (white areas) and the position is still wrong. I think I am messing something else up because teh reflection are just at the wrong place. But what? Edit: Now I read on wikipedia in the notes that the angle of N/H is in fact approximalty half or V/R. To compensate that i should multiply my shineness exponent by 4 rather than my projection. If i do that I end up with this: Far to intense but still one thing. The projection is at the wrong place. Where could i mess up my vectors?

• Gmail rejects emails. Openspf.net fails the tests

  I've got a problem with Gmail. It started after one of our trojan infected PCs sent spam for one day from our IP address. We've fixed the problem, but we got into 3 black lists. We've fixed that, too. But still every time we send an email to Gmail the message is rejected: So I've checked Google Bulk Sender's guide once again and found an error in our SPF record and fixed it. Google says everything should become fine after some time, but this doesn't happen. 3 weeks already passed but we still can't send emails to Gmail. Our MX setup is a bit complex, but not too much: We have a domain name delo-company.com, it has it's own mail @delo-company.com (this one is fine, but the problems are with sub-domain name corp.delo-company.com). Delo-company.com domain has several DNS records for the subdomain: corp A 82.209.198.147 corp MX 20 corp.delo-company.com corp.delo-company.com TXT "v=spf1 ip4:82.209.198.147 ~all" (I set ~all for testing purposes only, it was -all before that) These records are for our corporate Exchange 2003 server at 82.209.198.147. Its LAN name is s2.corp.delo-company.com so its HELO/EHLO greetings are also s2.corp.delo-company.com. To pass EHLO check we've also created some records in delo-company.com's DNS: s2.corp A 82.209.198.147 s2.corp.delo-company.com TXT "v=spf1 ip4:82.209.198.147 ~all" As I understand SPF verifications should be passed in this way: Out server s2 connects to MX of the recepient (Rcp.MX): EHLO s2.corp.delo-company.com Rcp.MX says Ok, and makes SPF check of HELO/EHLO. It does NSlookup for s2.corp.delo-company.com and gets the above DNS-records. TXT records says that s2.corp.delo-company.com should be only from IP 82.209.198.147. So it should be passed. Then our s2 server says RCPT FROM: Rcp.MX` server checks it, too. The values are the same so they should also be positive. Maybe there is also a rDNS check, but I'm not sure what is checked HELO or RCPT FROM. Our PTR record for 82.209.198.147 is: 147.198.209.82.in-addr.arpa. 86400 IN PTR s2.corp.delo-company.com. To me everything looks fine, but anyway all emails are rejected by Gmail. So, I've checked MXtoolbox.com - it says everything is fine, I passed http://www.kitterman.com/spf/validate.html Python check, I did 25port.com email test. • C++: Declaration of template class member specialization (+ Doxygen bonus question!)

  When I specialize a (static) member function/constant in a template class, I'm confused as to where the declaration is meant to go. Here's an example of what I what to do - yoinked directly from IBM's reference on template specialization: template<class T> class X { public: static T v; static void f(T); }; template<class T> T X<T>::v = 0; template<class T> void X<T>::f(T arg) { v = arg; } template<> char* X<char*>::v = "Hello"; template<> void X<float>::f(float arg) { v = arg * 2; } int main() { X<char*> a, b; X<float> c; c.f(10); // X<float>::v now set to 20 } The question is, how do I divide this into header/cpp files? The generic implementation is obviously in the header, but what about the specialization? It can't go in the header file, because it's concrete, leading to multiple definition. But if it goes into the .cpp file, is code which calls X::f() aware of the specialization, or might it rely on the generic X::f()? So far I've got the specialization in the .cpp only, with no declaration in the header. I'm not having trouble compiling or even running my code (on gcc, don't remember the version at the moment), and it behaves as expected - recognizing the specialization. But A) I'm not sure this is correct, and I'd like to know what is, and B) my Doxygen documentation comes out wonky and very misleading (more on that in a moment). • Why is insertion into my tree faster on sorted input than random input?

  Now I've always heard binary search trees are faster to build from randomly selected data than ordered data, simply because ordered data requires explicit rebalancing to keep the tree height at a minimum. Recently I implemented an immutable treap, a special kind of binary search tree which uses randomization to keep itself relatively balanced. In contrast to what I expected, I found I can consistently build a treap about 2x faster and generally better balanced from ordered data than unordered data -- and I have no idea why. • Exception - Illegal Block size during decryption(Android)

  I am writing an application which encrypts and decrypts the user notes based on the user set password. i used the following algorithms for encryption/decryption 1. PBEWithSHA256And256BitAES-CBC-BC 2. PBEWithMD5And128BitAES-CBC-OpenSSL e_Cipher = Cipher.getInstance(PBEWithSHA256And256BitAES-CBC-BC); d_Cipher = Cipher.getInstance(PBEWithSHA256And256BitAES-CBC-BC); e_Cipher.init() d_Cipher.init() encryption is working well, but when trying to decrypt it gives Exception - Illegal Block size after encryption i am converting the cipherText to HEX and storing it in a sqlite database. i am retrieving correct values from the sqlite database during decyption but when calling d_Cipher.dofinal() it throws the Exception. I thought i missed to specify the padding and tried to check what are the other available cipher algorithms but i was unable to found. so request you to please give the some knowledge on what are the cipher algorithms and padding that are supported by Android? if the algorithm which i used can be used for padding, how should i specify the padding mechanism? I am pretty new to Encryption so tried a couple of algorithms which are available in BouncyCastle.java but unsuccessful.   I'm having difficulty using reinterpret_cast. Before I show you my code I'll let you know what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to get a filename from a vector full of data being used by a MIPS I processor I designed. Basically what I do is compile a binary from a test program for my processor, dump all the hex's from the binary into a vector in my c++ program, convert all of those hex's to decimal integers and store them in a DataMemory vector which is the data memory unit for my processor. I also have instruction memory. So When my processor runs a SYSCALL instruction such as "Open File" my C++ operating system emulator receives a pointer to the beginning of the filename in my data memory. So keep in mind that data memory is full of ints, strings, globals, locals, all sorts of stuff. When I'm told where the filename starts I do the following: Convert the whole decimal integer element that is being pointed to to its ASCII character representation, and then search from left to right to see if the string terminates, if not then just load each character consecutively into a "filename" string. Do this until termination of the string in memory and then store filename in a table. My difficulty is generating filename from my memory. Of course, removing the method is not really an option right now, and the model contains several other methods as well so I assume if I just move the humanize method around, it will generate an error on the next one. • Scrollbar still is painted after it should be removed

  I have the following custom control and can place on a form (with AutoScroll set to true and the control anchored left, top and right). If the form is too short for the control, the form correctly resizes the control (to make room for the scroll) and displays the scroll bar. When the control is closed using the close glyph, the control is resized and the scroll bar is removed, but occasionally the scroll bar appears to remain painted. If the form is minimized or moved off-screen, the leftover paint is removed. I've tried Parent.Invalidate and have toyed with it in many ways but to no avail. Any suggestions?
