• Using Array Variables For FILE_GET_CONTENTS

  I have a script all done now and everything has been debugged and it works, except for the last hurdle. This script grabs pertinent information on bank web sites, takes that data and uses it to populate a template and then it's all posted to Wordpress - BUT I get an error because the file_get_contents function fails taking each url from the Array.   I have this file "file.txt" which I want to split into many smaller ones. Each line of the file has an id field which looks like "id:1" for a line belonging to id 1. For each id in the file, I like to create a file named idid.txt and put all lines that belong to this id in that file. My brute force bash script solution reads as follows. count=1 while [ $count -lt 19945 ] do cat file.txt | grep "id:$count " >> ./sets/id$count.txt count='expr $count + 1' done Now this is very inefficient as I have do read through the file about 20.000 times. Is there a way to do the same operation with only one pass through the file? - What I'm probably asking for is a way to use the value that matches for a regular expression to name the associated output file.

• passing multiple queries to view with codeigniter

  I am trying to build a forum with Codeigniter. So far i have the forums themselves displayed and the threads displayed, based on the creating dynamic news tutorial. But that is 2 different pages, i need to obviously display them into one page, like this: Forum 1 - thread 1 - thread 2 - thread 3 Forum 2 - thread 1 - thread 2 etc. And then the next step is obviously to display all the posts in a thread. Most likely with some pagination going on. But that is for later.   We're experiencing a strange problem with our current Varnish configuration. 4x Web Servers (IIS 6.5 on Windows 2003 Server, each installed on a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5450 @ 3.00GHz Quad Core, 4GB RAM) 3x Varnish Servers (varnish-3.0.3 revision 9e6a70f on Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS - 64 bit/precise, Kernel Linux 3.2.0-29-generic, each installed on a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5450 @ 3.00GHz Quad Core, 4GB RAM) The Varnish Servers performance are awfully bad in general, to the point that if we shut down one of them the other two are unable to fullfill all the requests and start to skip beats resulting in pending requests, timeouts, 404, etc. What can we do to improve our Varnish performance? Considering that we're getting less than 5k request per seconds during our max peak, we should be able to serve our pages even with a single one of them without any problem.   Hi cloud of wisdom :-) I am facing some trouble trying to configure a particular configuration for a NumericUpDown control in c#. Basically, I have seen that I can set the Increment interval, but I would like to manage the Increment interval depending on which arrow is clicked (up or down). I have checked the events of the control, but I do not find an event for each arrow. Basically, I want to achieve a control where, at different values, the increment is different. from 0.00 to 5.00 increments of 0.01, from 5.00 to 20.00 increments of 0.04, and so on Is this possible ? Note: It would be useful also an historic value in the control for the last value when the valuechanged event is trigger. Does this exist? Thanks in advance for any comment or suggestion!!!

  I wanted to write a simple chrome extension in order to substitute the following sequence of steps which i have to do very often for university: make screenshot of something edit screenshot in Paint save unnamend.png to harddrive upload unnamed.png to imageshack.us/pic-upload.de or any other website share link of image with others. • Django + dbxml + Apache = problems. Any solutions?

  I'm trying to set up a Django application using WSGI. That works fine. However, I am having some issues with part of my Django app that uses BDB XML. My Apache config is as follows: Listen 8000 WSGISocketPrefix /tmp/wsgi <VirtualHost *:8000> ServerName <server name> DocumentRoot <path to doc root> LogLevel info WSGIScriptAlias / <path to wsgi> WSGIApplicationGroup %{GLOBAL} WSGIDaemonProcess debug threads=1 WSGIProcessGroup debug </VirtualHost> However, I'm still getting the following error: DB_ENV->repmgr_stat interface requires an environment configured for the replication subsystem [error] child died with signal 11 My environment is opened as: environment = DBEnv() environment.open( <absolute db env path>, DB_CREATE|DB_INIT_LOCK|DB_INIT_LOG|DB_INIT_MPOOL, 0 ) I am using: python 2.6.2 apache 2.2 ubuntu 9.04 dbxml 2.5.13 compiled from source (so libdb-4.8, bsddb3, all that jazz) I see Apache seems to link to libdb-4.6. • No method error in controller create action

  I have read a number of Q&As on SO in search of some help on this but have so far not solved my issue. I am trying to teach myself ruby/rails, and as a test project, I want to create a list of tvshows and a list of characters where each tvshow has_many characters and each character belongs_to a specific show. I am sure I am doing something basic incorrectly. • Why is JSON outputting out of order?

  I'm am trying to get a list of weather information for 8 locations. I'm using a weather API that accepts longitude and latitude and spits back json output with the weather info for that location. I feed the coords in order 0-7 but when json processes the data it comes back in a seemingly random order. I assume it's because some process faster than others and json is outputing what it gets back as it gets it. • Hover image - part of forms appears untill hover another How?

  Im trying to make part of my form/questionnaire appears when hover on image and stay active untill hover another image next to it. and repeat it on 7 images. Of course I need the cheched checkboxes to stay after they'll be hidden so you can come back to them by hover the image and for ex. correct answers and so on.. • Specifying $(this).val() for two different elements (by class)

  What would be the correct syntax for specifying 2 elements by class to evaluate their values when they have different classes? This snippet adds and/or removes values from "increase_priority1" when the user has selected both a complaint and ranked the importance level of the issue, however when I added the 2nd element (".complaint select") to the If Statement it stopped working properly and only accepts input from the 2nd item (Waist) after the 1rst item (Shoulders) has been selected. I believe the problem is that it's unable to determine which ".complaint select" to use, but I haven't been able to figure out how to use (this) for the 2nd element, or another similar approach. • DVCS - What's the downside of rewriting unpublished history?

  I was wondering what in particular is the downside of "losing history" in a development process. One famous example is of course git rebase -i / git merge --squash, but also what is described here: http://fourkitchens.com/blog/2009/04/20/alternatives-rebasing-bazaar under "I want to clean up my commit history prior to submitting my changes to the mainline." I can see that exporting patches and applying them to another branch would lose the "history" of the branch, but why would that branch and its commit history be useful after it has been merged? Can someone elaborate on why such techniques are considered "dirty"? Why does it matter in which order changes were originally committed in the first place as long as they can be applied to the main branch?

  I have a relatively simple PHP page called editcustomers with 3 columns. The problem I'm having is that the form will show when there is a record in the database and the fields will be populated with that info. When no such records exists, the form is not even shown, eliminating the possibility to insert a record. My page layout is as follows: Column 1 shows a form containing customer information, allowing it to be edited. Column 2 allows ordering of products and showing how many products were ordered Column 3 shows the total paid so far, and the total owing.
