  • Configuring jstree right-click contextmenu for different node types

    - by MGOwen
I've seen an example somewhere online showing how to customise the appearance of jstree's right-click context menu (using contextmenu plugin). For example, allow my users to delete "documents" but not "folders" (by hiding the "delete" option from the context menu for folders). Now I can't find that example. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The official documentation didn't really help.

  • Why won't anyone accept public fields in C#?

    - by Dmitri Nesteruk
Seems like every C# static analyzer wants to complain when it sees a public field. But why? Surely there are cases where a public (or internal) field is enough, and there is no point in having a property with its get_ and set_ methods? What if I know for sure that I won't be redefining the field or adding to it (side effects are bad, right?) - shouldn't a simple field suffice?

  • Algorithm for Negating Sentences

    - by Kevin Dolan
I was wondering if anyone was familiar with any attempts at algorithmic sentence negation. For example, given a sentence like "This book is good" provide any number of alternative sentences meaning the opposite like "This book is not good" or even "This book is bad". Obviously, accomplishing this with a high degree of accuracy would probably be beyond the scope of current NLP, but I'm sure there has been some work on the subject. If anybody knows of any work, care to point me to some papers?

  • c#: Clean way to fit a collection into a multidimensional array?

    - by Rosarch
    I have an ICollection<MapNode>. Each MapNode has a Position attribute, which is a Point. I want to sort these points first by Y value, then by X value, and put them in a multidimensional array (MapNode[,]). The collection would look something like this: (30, 20) (20, 20) (20, 30) (30, 10) (30, 30) (20, 10) And the final product: (20, 10) (20, 20) (20, 30) (30, 10) (30, 20) (30, 30) Here is the code I have come up with to do it. Is this hideously unreadable? I feel like it's more hacky than it needs to be. private Map createWorldPathNodes() { ICollection<MapNode> points = new HashSet<MapNode>(); Rectangle worldBounds = WorldQueryUtils.WorldBounds(); for (float x = worldBounds.Left; x < worldBounds.Right; x += PATH_NODE_CHUNK_SIZE) { for (float y = worldBounds.Y; y > worldBounds.Height; y -= PATH_NODE_CHUNK_SIZE) { // default is that everywhere is navigable; // a different function is responsible for determining the real value points.Add(new MapNode(true, new Point((int)x, (int)y))); } } int distinctXValues = points.Select(node => node.Position.X).Distinct().Count(); int distinctYValues = points.Select(node => node.Position.Y).Distinct().Count(); IList<MapNode[]> mapNodeRowsToAdd = new List<MapNode[]>(); while (points.Count > 0) // every iteration will take a row out of points { // get all the nodes with the greatest Y value currently in the collection int currentMaxY = points.Select(node => node.Position.Y).Max(); ICollection<MapNode> ythRow = points.Where(node => node.Position.Y == currentMaxY).ToList(); // remove these nodes from the pool we're picking from points = points.Where(node => ! ythRow.Contains(node)).ToList(); // ToList() is just so it is still a collection // put the nodes with max y value in the array, sorting by X value mapNodeRowsToAdd.Add(ythRow.OrderByDescending(node => node.Position.X).ToArray()); } MapNode[,] mapNodes = new MapNode[distinctXValues, distinctYValues]; int xValuesAdded = 0; int yValuesAdded = 0; foreach (MapNode[] mapNodeRow in mapNodeRowsToAdd) { xValuesAdded = 0; foreach (MapNode node in mapNodeRow) { // [y, x] may seem backwards, but mapNodes[y] == the yth row mapNodes[yValuesAdded, xValuesAdded] = node; xValuesAdded++; } yValuesAdded++; } return pathNodes; } The above function seems to work pretty well, but it hasn't been subjected to bulletproof testing yet.

  • Force import module from Python standard library instead of PYTHONPATH default

    - by jrdioko
I have a custom module in one of the directories in my PYTHONPATH with the same name as one of the standard library modules, so that when I import module_name, that module gets loaded. If I want to use the original standard library module, is there any way to force Python to import from the standard library rather than from the PYTHONPATH directory, short of renaming the custom module and changing every reference to point to the new name?

  • OS X terminal command to resolve path of an alias

    - by Josh
I'm writing a shell script which will rsync files from remote machines, some linux, some macs, to a central backup server. The macs have folders on the root level containing aliases of all files/folders which need to be backed up. What is a terminal command I can use to resolve the path to the files/folders the aliases point to? (I'll need to pass these paths to rsync)

  • WPF Storyboard works well, except for the first time it runs. Why?

    - by sofri
    Hi, I'm doing a Surface Application. And there I have something like a bulletin board where little cards with news on it are pinned on. On click they shall fly out of the board and scale bigger. My storyboard works well, except for the first time it runs. It's not a smooth animation then but it scales to its final size immediately and it's the same with the orientation-property. Just the center-property seems to behave correctly. This is an example for one of my Storyboards doing that: Storyboard stb = new Storyboard(); PointAnimation moveCenter = new PointAnimation(); DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames changeWidth = new DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames(); DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames changeHeight = new DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames(); DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames changeOrientation = new DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames(); moveCenter.From = News1.ActualCenter; moveCenter.To = new Point(250, 400); moveCenter.Duration = new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(1.0)); moveCenter.FillBehavior = FillBehavior.Stop; stb.Children.Add(moveCenter); Storyboard.SetTarget(moveCenter, News1); Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(moveCenter, new PropertyPath(ScatterViewItem.CenterProperty)); changeWidth.Duration = TimeSpan.FromSeconds(1); changeWidth.KeyFrames.Add(new EasingDoubleKeyFrame(266, KeyTime.FromTimeSpan(new System.TimeSpan(0, 0, 1)))); changeWidth.FillBehavior = FillBehavior.Stop; stb.Children.Add(changeWidth); Storyboard.SetTarget(changeWidth, News1); Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(changeWidth, new PropertyPath(FrameworkElement.WidthProperty)); changeHeight.Duration = TimeSpan.FromSeconds(1); changeHeight.KeyFrames.Add(new EasingDoubleKeyFrame(400, KeyTime.FromTimeSpan(new System.TimeSpan(0, 0, 1)))); changeHeight.FillBehavior = FillBehavior.Stop; stb.Children.Add(changeHeight); Storyboard.SetTarget(changeHeight, News1); Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(changeHeight, new PropertyPath(FrameworkElement.HeightProperty)); changeOrientation.Duration = TimeSpan.FromSeconds(1); changeOrientation.KeyFrames.Add(new EasingDoubleKeyFrame(0, KeyTime.FromTimeSpan(new System.TimeSpan(0, 0, 1)))); changeOrientation.FillBehavior = FillBehavior.Stop; stb.Children.Add(changeOrientation); Storyboard.SetTarget(changeOrientation, News1); Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(changeOrientation, new PropertyPath(ScatterViewItem.OrientationProperty)); stb.Begin(this); News1.Center = new Point(250, 400); News1.Orientation = 0; News1.Width = 266; News1.Height = 400; Pin1.Visibility = Visibility.Collapsed; news1IsOutside = true; Scroll1.IsEnabled = true; What's wrong with it?

  • Which third party tools/library are available for NoSQL databases?

    - by Horcrux7
I know that NoSQL databases are very new. I am also new in this point. But exist already tools/libraries to make the life easer like for SQL databases? I think on tools for managing, maintaining, viewing or reporting of the data. There can also be libraries for easer working with the database or an abstract database layer to change the database later. I would prefer Java libraries but also other are interesting.

Hi Guys, How can we manage the horizontalaxis interval in flex chart? What actually happening is , the data is inserted between two interval levels and its causing readability problem when we draw line grids in graph. The data point is shown in between the data grids. How can we move the axis or manage the data points?

  • Mocking using 'traditional' Record/Replay vs Moq model

    - by fung
I'm new to mocks and am deciding on a mock framework. The Moq home quotes Currently, it's the only mocking library that goes against the generalized and somewhat unintuitive (especially for novices) Record/Reply approach from all other frameworks. Can anyone explain simply what the Record/Replay approach is and how Moq differs? What are the pros and cons of each especially from the point of deciding a framework? Thanks.

  • What is a great tool for remote pair development?

    - by Haim Bender
I'm looking for something like VNC, but with some extra features: The server should send only the part of the screen the client is looking at. It would be great if we could have 2 mice on the client's desktop. Or at least if the client could point to somthing without interrupting the server's mouse. A shared whiteboard would be great. Some extra notes: My friend lives far away, and we are using WinXP.

  • Django - calling full_clean() inside of clean() equivalent?

    - by orokusaki
For transaction purposes, I need all field validations to run before clean() is done. Is this possible? My thinking is this: @transaction.commit_on_success def clean(self): # Some fun stuff here. self.full_clean() # I know this isn't correct, but it illustrates my point. but obviously that's not correct, because it would be recursive. Is there a way to make sure that everything that full_clean() does is done inside clean()?

  • Excel VBA Application.OnTime. I think its a bad idea to use this... thoughts either way?

    - by FinancialRadDeveloper
I have a number of users I support that are asking for things to happen automatically ( well more automagically but that's another point!). One want events to happen every 120 secs ( see my other question ) and also another wants 1 thing to happen say at 5pm each business day. This has to be on the Excel sheet so therefore VBA as addins etc will be a no no, as it needs to be self contained. I have a big dislike of using Application.OnTime I think its dangerous and unreliable, what does everyone else think?

  • Python - Polymorphism in wxPython, What's wrong?

    - by Wallter
I am trying to wright a simple custom button in wx.Python. My code is as follows, an error is thrown on line 19 of my "Custom_Button.py" - What is going on? I can find no help online for this error and have a suspicion that it has to do with the Polymorphism. • Message Queue with 'Message Barrier' Feature?

    - by Lajos Nagy
Is there a message queue implementation that allows breaking up work into 'batches' by inserting 'message barriers' into the message stream? Let me clarify. No messages after a message barrier should be delivered to any consumers of the queue, until all messages before the barrier are consumed. Sort of like a synchronization point. I'd also prefer if all consumers received notification when they reached a barrier. Anything like this out there?

  • Is it possible to build a WinForm app (or another type of .NET app) which allows me to interact with

    - by RoboShop
I'm learning Chinese at the moment and I have gotten my hand on a Chinese dictionary definition. Now I would like to make an interface. All I really want the application to do is when I point my mouse pointer over any text on the screen (in any window), it would identify the text I am pointing at and then display a small form over it, which would the chinese transaction. Is that possible to do? Can WinForms apps interact with windows outside of it's own application?

This is my code in my class Public Class DrawableTextBox Inherits Drawable Dim i_testString As Integer Private s_InsertLabel As String Private drawFont As Font Public Sub New(ByVal fore_color As Color, ByVal fill_color As Color, Optional ByVal line_width As Integer = 0, Optional ByVal new_x1 As Integer = 0, Optional ByVal new_y1 As Integer = 0, Optional ByVal new_x2 As Integer = 1, Optional ByVal new_y2 As Integer = 1) MyBase.New(fore_color, fill_color, line_width) X1 = new_x1 Y1 = new_y1 X2 = new_x2 Y2 = new_y2 Trace.WriteLine(s_InsertLabel) End Sub Friend WriteOnly Property _textBox() As String Set(ByVal Value As String) s_InsertLabel = Value Trace.WriteLine(s_InsertLabel) End Set End Property ' Draw the object on this Graphics surface. Public Overrides Sub Draw(ByVal gr As System.Drawing.Graphics) ' Make a Rectangle representing this rectangle. Dim rect As Rectangle = GetBounds() ' Fill the rectangle as usual. Dim fill_brush As New SolidBrush(FillColor) gr.FillRectangle(fill_brush, rect) fill_brush.Dispose() ' See if we're selected. If IsSelected Then ' Draw the rectangle highlighted. Dim highlight_pen As New Pen(Color.Yellow, LineWidth) gr.DrawRectangle(highlight_pen, rect) highlight_pen.Dispose() ' Draw grab handles. Trace.WriteLine("drawing the lines for my textbox") DrawGrabHandle(gr, X1, Y1) DrawGrabHandle(gr, X1, Y2) DrawGrabHandle(gr, X2, Y2) DrawGrabHandle(gr, X2, Y1) Else 'TextBox() Dim fg_pen As New Pen(Color.Red, LineWidth) 'Dim fontSize As Single = 0.1 + ((Y2 - Y1) / 2) Dim fontSize As Single = 20 Try Dim drawFont As New Font("Arial", fontSize, FontStyle.Bold) Trace.WriteLine(s_InsertLabel) gr.DrawString(s_InsertLabel, drawFont, Brushes.Brown, X1, Y1) Catch ex As ArgumentException End Try gr.DrawRectangle(Pens.Azure, rect) ' gr.DrawRectangle(fg_pen, rect) fg_pen.Dispose() End If End Sub Public Function GetValueString(ByVal ValueType As String) Return ValueType End Function ' Return the object's bounding rectangle. Public Overrides Function GetBounds() As System.Drawing.Rectangle Return New Rectangle( _ Min(X1, X2), _ Min(Y1, Y2), _ Abs(100), _ Abs(30)) Trace.WriteLine("don't forget to make variables in GetBounds DrawableTextbox") End Function ' Return True if this point is on the object. Public Overrides Function IsAt(ByVal x As Integer, ByVal y As Integer) As Boolean Return (x >= Min(X1, X2)) AndAlso _ (x <= Max(X1, X2)) AndAlso _ (y >= Min(Y1, Y2)) AndAlso _ (y <= Max(Y1, Y2)) End Function ' Move the second point. Public Overrides Sub NewPoint(ByVal x As Integer, ByVal y As Integer) X2 = x Y2 = y End Sub ' Return True if the object is empty (e.g. a zero-length line). Public Overrides Function IsEmpty() As Boolean Return (X1 = X2) AndAlso (Y1 = Y2) End Function End Class I've got a form with a textbox( form1) in which the text is being inserted and passed through a buttonclick (al via properties). As you can see I've placed several traces and in the property of the class my trace works fine , however if I look in my Draw function it is already gone. And I get a blank trace. Does anyone know what's happening here. thanks in advance. (forgive me I'm new )
