    How do i vertically and horizontally center an image when i do not know the size of it? I asked this question and someone suggested using a table. This isnt the first time i heard a table can do it but i tried without luck. Searching SO only got me results when i do know the size of the image. How do i do this with a table? NOTE: Javascript/jquery is not preferred but if theres a solution with it i'll be open to it.

    I have searched but could not find the reason for this behavior. I have a UIButton whose image I am setting. Here is how the button should appear. Note that this is just a photoshop of the intended button design: Essentially, it is a square custom UIButton with a white border and a little surrounding shadow. In the upper right corner, there is a "X" mark, that will be added programmatically as a subview. Here is the screenshot of the button within the actual app. At this point, I have only added a shadow and the X mark as a subview: How, when I try to add the white border, here is what it looks like: It seems that the white border is appearing above the X mark sublayer. I don't know why.     I am working on a Facebook for which I need to get all the Profile Pictures of Friends of the users. Which I did using FQL query. I need these images for creating a poster of all the Friends Profile pics along tags in them. For that I need to create a Dynamic poster for every user with their Friends tagged in them. I tried using the GD Library for PHP. I tried with the imagecreatefromjpeg() function of php for which I can use one image and pass it to the main image. But here I have more than 1 images (average about 100 images) depending on the number of friends the user has. What function do I need to create this dynamic poster ? Please any help would be appreciated !!

  • Sprite background image lags on mouse hover

    I have basic DOM menu that has sprite background images for the first level of "LI"s. It works just fine, but I guess there is some problem and instead of switching the image right away on hover it goes blank and after about a second the hover image "appears" (shifts). That happens only on first hovering. After that it's smooth like it's supposed to be. Refresh the page and there it is again... Frustrating...   • Jquery Resizable Image size issue

    Image size is not automatically detected when using jquery resizable. Both Firefox and IE displays the image much smaller, and chrome show nothing at all. I can't seem to find a direct answer to this issue.   • I can't fix a broken image in Internet Explorer

    Hi All, I have a broken image in IE that I can't seem to fix. I have tried everything I could think of so far. It works just fine in all browsers except IE.     I have a jpg image in my app that shows correctly. In my listview i'd like to make the image more transparent so it is easier to see the text. I changed the image to a png format and altered it's opacity in GIMP. Now that the new image is in the app drawable folder.     Hi guys, i wanted to make a double border but with no space in between and the double border should be of different color. I tried using image instead but i thought css could probably perform this job for me, i searched the net but hardly find anything close. What i wanted is total of 2px dotted border with top color of #a4a4a4 and bottom color of #474747. Any idea how i can do this instead of creating 2 divs?

However for example if a span is inside a div they are both getting borders. I only want to target the span. I thought that adding event.stopPropagation() would do the trick (this is what I would do in Flex, which is what I am more used to) but I guess this is a live event which I dont even understand what that means. So basically how can target the youngest element without triggering the parents? Thanks!!

If I want to store the images on a file system, which file system should I use and also should I store the url or should I use any intermediate key value store like redis?

    I'am new in django. In my project I'am working with images. I don't know how to organize the management of images. I need to dynamically upload the pictures and resize them. First question - what is the best way to dynamically upload images with progress bar and without flash? I found this and this, but I believe there is a better way. Second question. I have to save one image in different sizes. I won't use these thumbnails on my pages, but another application will. Many clients could upload images at the same time. This means that I can not resize all the images at the same time. How should I organize this process? Is there are a better ready-to-use solution for image management issue?
