    I have a web application that downloads a jar file from the web server using java web start. The jar is signed using J2SE security tool. However, I get the security warning "The application digital signature cannot be verified. Do you want to run the application?" Am I missing something that is causing this??

  • Download textarea contents as a file using only Javascript (no server-side)

    I am being asked to make a "download" button that downloads the contents of a textarea on the same page as a file, with the browser's "Save As" dialog showing up. Copy/paste would do the job just fine, but it is a "requirement". Right now, I am just posting the contents of the textarea to the server, which echos them back with "Content-disposition: attachment" slapped on. Is there a way to do this with just client-side Javascript?

  • Downloading file with Python results in only 4.1kB

    I'm using simple code: import urllib2 response = urllib2.urlopen("http://www.mysite.com/getfile/4355") output = open('myfile.zip','wb') output.write(response.read()) output.close() The web-server is IIS + ASP.NET MVC 4 It returns FileResult wrapping a zip-file with "application/octet-stream" content-type. The problem is that downloaded zip file is broken - only 4.1kB size, where it must be 24kB. When I type the url adress in web-browser directly - it downloads and opens fine. Could you please, suggest, what's wrong with my Python code?

When you go to MS website you can download an exe. That then downloads the rest of the files. The function that downloads a file at a time however throws only MalformedURLException and IOException , but if these exceptions are thrown that means that the download didn't even begin.     Hi, I want to use git as a local repository against a remote SVN repository. I installed version 1.6.0.2 from http://code.google.com/p/msysgit/downloads/list. According to the documentation synchronization is done via the command git svn or a separate command wrapper called git-svn Neither of them is available in my installation and I could not find a separate download for Windows binaries. I'm currenty using the MSYS build. Must I switch to cygwin?
