  Hi everyone, I am fairly new to SEO and I have done all of the tactics and operations that I know to do to help my site rank to the number 1 spot on Google. I know that no one can guarantee the number 1 spot on Google or on any other search engine but I cannot even seem to get my website to the first page of Google's search results. My company is looking to hire a company or individual to work on our SEO. Does anyone here know of an SEO company or individual that has had good results in the past with getting a website to the front of Google, and preferably to the number 1 spot on Google?   what is the latest version of ubuntu i can run w/ WORKING wifi on my macbook 4,1(early 2008)? i dual booted my mac os x lion alongside 12.10 ubuntu but cant figure how to get the wireless to work? so i downgraded to 10.10 for now.. is 10.10 the latest version i can have on my macbook with working wifi? or is there another? or am i just missing a noobish terminal code to fix the drivers? help appreciated! thanks

• help with synclient configuration on an ASUS touchpad

  I have recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my brand new ASUS K55V. The touchpad behaves weird - two finger tap is interpreted as right-click, click and drag is not working (a double click is needed) and so on. Two finger scrolling (horizontal & vertical) works great. I want the touch pad to behave the "normal" way (that is - like in my old laptop...). I read the synclient documentation and many of the questions posted here, and I can even make some stuff work. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to make these work: Click and drag (that is - physically clicking the button and dragging a finger) Clicking in the right side of the button interpreted as right-click Clicking button with two fingers interpreted as middle-click. specs: The touchpad is equipped with a physical button that clicks. Here's the output of xinput list-props "ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad" | grep Capabilities: Synaptics Capabilities (294): 1, 0, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 Any help will be much appreciated.

  My modem isn't in the device list of usb_modeswitch.... so I cannot automatically use the modem on the ubuntu.... I found the way to change the modem from usb storage mode to modem mode and I can use my modem. But I forgot the instructions. I don't know the modem's name. It's chinese modem. • Pls help Installation has ruined laptop

  Hi this was my time using Linux. So I installed Ubuntu from Windows 7 via USB. After booting into Ubuntu I proceeded to do a full install over windows. This seemed to be going fine but at the point where I was to sign up to Ubuntu one it froze. After awhile maybe 30 mins I realised nothing was going to happen, so I restarted. Now after the bios options bit passes all I get is a prompt flashing at the top left of a black screen. I have tried booting up via USB option but nothing happens, I have tried this 6 or 7 times with fresh usb each time and also with lubuntu. I'm not sure if I have correctly made a live usb obviously I believe I have been but being new I can't guarantee this. Can anyone help me get some functional out of my laptop. Thanks Ben

• Help comparing Cocos2d and Unity3d for this project.....

  I will not go into details, but I would like to hear your opinions about this: Essentially, my project will be a 2d game, with lots of complex levels, where some might be simple and others might be a bit more deep, with physics, etc. We want to implement our very own online structure: logging in, leaderboards, achievements, friends etc with our own servers. This means no OpenFeint nor GameCenter at all. We expect this game to be very large in both graphics and audio. We wish to use in-app purchases. Now, we considered two options. Cocos2d and Unity3d. We need help deciding using the factors I mentioned before (networking, good performance even for a large game in terms of graphics and audio like this, in-app purchases, etc) which option would fit better this? Technically, both options can create 2d games. I'd like to hear your opinion.

  Hi guys I want to set up a cronjob on reboot to do this cd /home/admin/vivalaminecraft.com && screen -d -m -S mcscreen && mono McMyAdmin.exe The issue is when I execute this it seems to create the screen but doesn't do the mono McMyAdmin.exe in the screen... Is there like a then command ? so it does 1. then 2. then 3. ? Could someone please help out :) So I tried this: so I did this: @reboot screen -dmS minecraft @reboot cd /home/admin/vivalaminecraft.com @reboot mono McMyAdmin.exe It still doesn't work. The screen is created but it doesn't have the mono execution in it I put this in it #!/bin/bash screen -dmS minecraft; cd /home/admin/vivalaminecraft.com; mono McMyAdmin.exe; is this correct?

  Ok so i had Ubuntu installed on dual boot with windows 7, i decided i liked it, btu i did not want the dual boot option so i decided to uninstall it. no whenever i turn on my computer the "error: no such partition" screen shows up and i cant do anything at all. i tried restarting it and booting from a windows recovery disc to fix the mbr but my bios no wont load i cant change the boot order i cant manually boot or anything, it just goes straight to the "error: no such partition" screen. can someone please help me?

  I'm reading part 17.2.1 of Java language specification: http://docs.oracle.com/javase/specs/jls/se7/html/jls-17.html#jls-17.2.1 I won't copy a text, it's too long, but I would like to know, why for third step of sequence they're saying that If thread t was removed from m's wait set in step 2 due to an interrupt Thread couldn't get to step 2 it wasn't removed from wait set, because it written for the step 1: Thread t does not execute any further instructions until it has been removed from m's wait set Thus thread can't be removed from wait set in step 2 whatever it's due to, because it was already removed. Please help me understand this.

• Help in decide the partition to install ubuntu

  I have a PC running with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit version with 4 gig Ram. I have a 320 gig hard disk , in which I have allocated 120 gig for windows 7, 100 gig for NY files(named ashwin in windows) and rest 80-90 gig partitioned but empty NTFS partition.Now where do I install Ubuntu so that windows and data is safe. I got the option install with windows I selected it , it then shows select drive(SCSI1 (0,0,0) (sda) -320.1 GB ATA WDC WD3200AAJS-6) and allocate driver by dragging the divider below which shows 66.5gb and 59.3 GB respectively. Which one do I go with? I clicked advance partitioning it shows five devices: device , type, m.point ,size.(mb), used(mb)......... /dev/sda1, NTFS, 104 , 35 (windows 7 loader) /dev/sda2, NTFS, 104752, 23604 /dev/sda3, NTFS, 125829, 10161 /dev/sda5, NTFS, 89382, 3221 when I checked size in properties it showed name of drive according to windows, used.Gb, free, total. ashwin, 10.2, 115.7, 125.8 c drive, 23.6, 81.1, 104.8 new volume, 92.6mb, 89.3, 89.4 except mentioned everything in gigabytes.ignore the last dots. I want to install it in new volume or using that space how do I do it? Explain in detail I'm a beginner.

  Hi, I am looking for a cheap dedicated server. (I was earlier happy with VPS, untill I realized that the disk I/O is not at all reliable and depends on what your neighbours are upto at the moment).   i installed Linux Ubuntu after my win os went totally dead by fatal blue screen. cannot reboot or install form CD ROM or get safe mode i installed Linux Ubuntu i still unable to install my wireless stick usb modem to connect and surf the Internet wireless form my provider. i use wireless network from neighborhood And i find it difficult to download and install and save porg and application from the INTERNET like skype and real player and others. it is different form windows and not that easy to use. i click to download for example and find real player but when click on it it opens as text file only and i cannot use it as it should be used for video and download and record from you tube. how to do it. and is there with Linux Ubuntu similar prog to download and record and save from you tube as in windows? Is there any trick to restart or reboot windows OS from the dead. can i use linux to reboot windows or to import my files from the blue screen stopped windows7?   I'm having difficulties with my project. I'm quite new in XNA. Anyway, I'm trying to make 3D game and I'm already stuck on one basic thing. I have terrain made from a heightmap, and an avatar model. I want to set up some collisions for game so the player won't go through the ground. But I just don't know how to detect collisions for so complex an object. I could just make a simple box collision for my avatar, but what about the ground? I already implemented the JigLibX physics engine in my project and I know that I can make a collision map with heightmap, but I can't find any tutorials or help with this. So how can I set proper collision for complex objects? How can I detect heightmap collisions in JigLibX? Just some links to tutorials would be enough. Thanks in advance!

I have a hub with 3 USB 3G modems, I got the 3 simultaneously connect with an upload speed of about 500kb in each approx. and a dynamic ip each. I do a unicast streaming with vlc rtp with a bandwidth of 1.5mb. Bone the sum of the three modems. I was searching on ifenslave, iproute. Then I found a draft vlc MultiCat. I understood that this could end, but configure it only moves a card. If I can help extend the information willingly. From now eternally grateful.

• Need help eliminating dead code paths and variables from C source code

  I have a legacy C code on my hands, and I am given the task to filter dead/unused symbols and paths from it. Over the time there were many insertions and deletions, causing lots of unused symbols. I have identified many dead variables which were only being written to once or twice, but were never being read from. Both blackbox/whitebox/regression testing proved that dead code removal did not affected any procedures. (We have a comprehensive test-suite). But this removal was done only on a small part of code. Now I am looking for some way to automate this work. We rely on GCC to do the work. P.S. I'm interested in removing stuff like: variables which are being read just for the sake of reading from them. variables which are spread across multiple source files and only being written to. For example: file1.c: int i; file2.c: extern int i; .... i=x;

I know I could learn it and do it myself, but since I am an independent contractor and I know that server administration is the weakest part of my abilities, a DIY approach is going to cost me a lot more time than I can afford.
