    Inside .vcproj files There is a list of all source files in your project. How can we use a macro to specify the path to a source file? If we do this: <File RelativePath="$(Lib3rdParty)\Qt\qtwinmigrate-2.5-commercial\src\qmfcapp.cpp"> </File> The compiler cannot find the folder: qmfcapp.cpp c1xx : fatal error C1083: Cannot open source file: '.\$(lib3rdparty)\qt\qtwinmigrate- 2.5-commercial\src\qmfcapp.cpp': No such file or directory As you can see, our project compiles in several source files from QT. QT lives inside a folder of external libraries, and we don't want hardcode the path from our project to that folder (we have a very large solution)

  • Problem when using \LaTeX \includegraphics with some PDF files

    I noticed some strange effects when including existing pdf graphics in my laTeX documents: Most file work flawlessly, but some PDFs that were created on a different machine (or from the web) cause the whole page on which they are embedded to become ever-so-slightly distorted. I only notice the difference in a side-by-side comparison, but once you see it, it's obvious. The text layout seems slightly broken, and when you zoom in you can see it better. I will try to make some screenshots to further elaborate, but in the meantime: Has anyone seen this before and how can I get rid of these distortions?

  • Use C function in C++ program; "multiply-defined" error

    I am trying to use this code for the Porter stemming algorithm in a C++ program I've already written. I followed the instructions near the end of the file for using the code as a separate module. I created a file, stem.c, that ends after the definition and has extern int stem(char * p, int i, int j) ... It worked fine in Xcode but it does not work for me on Unix with gcc 4.1.1--strange because usually I have no problem moving between the two. I get the error ld: fatal: symbol `stem(char*, int, int)' is multiply-defined: (file /var/tmp//ccrWWlnb.o type=FUNC; file /var/tmp//cc6rUXka.o type=FUNC); ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to cluster I've looked online and it seems like there are many things I could have wrong, but I'm not sure what combination of a header file, extern "C", etc. would work.

  • Distribution of many small classes

    Hi All, I have a base class called EventArgs. Derived from this are many, many specializations that represent event arguments for a particular kind of event. Consumers of these events may need some, many, or very few of these argument classes. My question is, would you provide a header file for each type (e.g, 50+ header files for the varying ones), would you try to group them in to families and have a 'common' header file for those, or would you throw caution to the window and throw them in to one easy-of-use header file that can just be included? Another approach might be to have 50 header files, and then I could introduce some "family" header files that included particular ones. Not sure about the naming conventions for these kinds of things so it is obvious what is where. I know there may not be a hard and fast rule, but wondering what other developers have done when they find themselves writing many little classes. Thanks in advance.

    Simply put, my config file includes my database class, and the config file has in it: global $db; $db = new database(DB_HOST, DB_NAME, DB_USER, DB_PASS); That file is root/config.php Moving on to root/functions/func.newpage.php doesn't have any includes/requires, and uses $db-classfunction since the file I'm working with: root/newpage.php - requires the config file, as well as func.newpage.php. However I still come up with: Undefined variable db. Anything you guys are seeing I'm not? Thanks! Let me know if more details are needed.

  • Page reload needed several times before loading normally

    Sorry my question is so vague I just have no idea where to start in solving it and am quite a novice with servers. Recently my site (an https connection, running on an Amazon EC2 ubuntu apache2.2) has this issue where I need to load the page several times (3-4) before it will load normally without issue. It will then load normally as long as I keep loading pages regularly (every couple seconds). It will stall again if I don't load pages for a few minutes. It has nothing to do with my application because I don't have this problem with the exact same app codebase on my Apache installation on my laptop. The only thing to my knowledge that I changed is that I installed mod_pagespeed https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/mod. However, I have since turned it off by setting my pagespeed.conf to mod_pagespeed off. Unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem. I'm wondering general advice on how to troubleshoot this problem. For instance are there linux commands to check page loading peformance? Also, it looks like I have lots of new error.logs in my /var/log/apache2 directory which i believe weren't there a few months ago. lots of this : error.log RewriteLog.log.24.gz ssl_access.log.40.gz error.log.1 RewriteLog.log.25.gz ssl_access.log.41.gz error.log.10.gz RewriteLog.log.26.gz ssl_access.log.42.gz error.log.11.gz RewriteLog.log.27.gz any thoughts? thank you, tim

    I just downloaded Garry's Mod from Steam and every time I try to play Single Player on the first map, it crashes on the Loading Resources section of the progress bar. Here is some of the exception information the system prints out: Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS) Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x000000001acec4d0 Crashed Thread: 4 When I ran it on the Windows side (Bootcamp), Windows 7 required me to give Garry's Mod some permissions. I wasn't asked to do this on the Mac side. Maybe that's it? Is there some kind of special setup for the Mac?

At random, I get 500 Internal Server Errors; restarting Apache brings everything back to normality.     I'm using mod-rpaf with Apache 2.4 and it's working properly (showing the real client IP's) in my Apache access_log... but not in my error_log.   • Enabling mod_wsgi in Apache for a Django app on Gentoo

    I installed Apache, Django, and mod_wsgi on Gentoo using emerge (on Amazon EC2). I know that the mod_wsgi is configured in /etc/apache2/modules.d/70_mod_wsgi.conf: <IfDefine WSGI> LoadModule wsgi_module modules/mod_wsgi.so </IfDefine> # vim: ts=4 filetype=apache So in my /etc/conf.d/apache I added the WSGI module: APACHE2_OPTS="-D DEFAULT_VHOST -D INFO -D SSL -D SSL_DEFAULT_VHOST -D LANGUAGE -D WSGI" But when I try to list the loaded module, mod_wsgi isn't listed. root ~ # apache2 -M | grep wsgi Syntax OK I also know that mod_wsgi isn't loading properly because the Apache configuration file doesn't recognize WSGIScriptAlias. By the way for Django to work I need to include a custom Apache configuration file. Where should I insert the line below? Include "/var/www/localhost/htdocs/mysite/apache/apache_django_wsgi.conf" I currently have that in the httpd.conf file but I feel like that file will get reseted whenever I upgrade Gentoo or related package.     I'm having a huge problem getting mod_mono and apache configured to work correctly. I've had this working at one time, but I can't seem to figure out where i'm going wrong. I'm using mono-server4. I'm trying to use a seperate port from the main website. This corresponds with the MonoSetServerAlias statement. So I commented it out, and when I do that apache starts. However, when I try to access the site, I get a 500 error. The access log indicates that it's trying to access the app on port 80, rather than 9999. I'm not sure what the problem is here. Can anyone help me get figure out where I went wrong?     Hi guys, I have installed via synaptic package ibapache2-mod-perl2. I tried this line in httpd.conf: "LoadModule perl_module modules/mod_perl.so" Apache tells me when I reload the server : "[warn] module perl_module is already loaded, skipping". Well ok, but when i try to look in the browser to a repertory i don't have access .Apache send me the error : Forbidden You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/ on this server. Apache/2.2.14 (Ubuntu) Server at 192.168.0.10 Port 90 But this should show modperl is installed and that's not the case... I would like my virtual host that follows run with mod_perl2 <VirtualHost v1:80> ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost ServerName v1 DocumentRoot /var/www/v1 <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None </Directory> <Directory /var/www/v1/html/> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride None Order allow,deny allow from all </Directory> ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /var/www/v1/cgi-bin/ <Directory "/var/www/v1/cgi-bin"> AllowOverride None Options +ExecCGI -MultiViews +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> I'd like to know how to configure mod_perl2.
