  • How do I get a transparent page/screen in Firefox?

    So, everytime I open a new tab (about:newtab) or just a white screen (about:blank). It would be better, Firefox displays my desktop instead (or what's 'behind' firefox) to work more efficient. I thought to try Firefox's Add-On 'Stylish' to solve this problem, but those scripts are only for Windows with Aero support. So... any other ideas how I get a transparent page/screen in Firefox? EDIT To clean things up: I don't want the whole window transparent!

I used the tabBar template provided by xcode no modifications.

    I can click on the field, and it momentarily turns blue, but those events plus makeFirstResponder together do not cause the keyboard to show on a UITextField.     Occasionally, when I'm away from my computer for about 5 minutes, the computer screen will go black and all USB devices (keyboard/mouse) will lose power. Attempting to move the mouse or pressing keys does not 'wake up' the computer. This only started happening a few days ago but I'm not sure what changes I did could have caused this and I uninstalled programs (one by one) I installed before it started happening, but still having the same issue. The one thing I noticed different about my computer since it started happening is i've been getting random survey popups from www.insightexpress.com. I ran Microsoft Security Essentials scan, it picked up some Java related malware, I removed it but still the same issue. I'm running MBAM right now and will run SAS after.

  • irssi keybinding: backward_word/forward_word

    I'm currently experimenting with irssi as my irc client of choice and I'm getting along pretty well. BUT there is one thing I still need to get done. Somehow it isn't possible for me to use the usual CTRL+Left/Right to navigate between words in my input line. For the record: I'm using irssi on a linux-box through a screen session brought to my windows machine via ssh/putty. I already tried some key binding in irssi, maybe I did them wrong? /bind meta-n backward_word /bind meta-m forward_word both work fine. But neither /bind ^left backward_word /bind ^right backward_word nor /bind cleft-left backward_word /bind cleft-right backward_word work for a CTRL+Left/Right setup. Any Ideas?

  • Hide a 2nd Monitor from a Programs Print Screen

    I run 2 monitors on a PC that also runs a program for the Freelancing site Elance.com. The program they provide, takes screenshots and uploads them to my account for a client to see at different intervals. My goal is to make the screenshot that the program takes and uploads, to somehow only take a shot of my "Main" or "Defualt" monitor and ignore my 2nd monitor. The main reason is my 2nd monitor generally has private data that I do not displayed to the world on a website. Does anyone know if there is any kind of program or trick I can use that will make it appear that I have 1 monitor when a Screenshot is taken? I am not sure how the program does it and how that works as I am a web developer and not a C++ or any kind of low level programmer. If the Elance program simply runs the same function that is called when a PrintScreen key is pressed on a keyboard, then I am thinking it might be possible to maybe trick that into only the default desktop? Any ideas or help would be appreciated, thank you

    Hi, I have a clean install of Windows 7 Professional x64. After I type my password at the logon screen, the blue background is supposed to fade away smoothly and show the desktop, but on my machine the transition is jerky. I have an ATI graphics card and the Catalyst 10.2 drivers. What can I do to make the transition more smooth? Thanks!

    My screen flickers at 1280 x 1024, 75 hertz, 32 bit color, Dell Monitor e190s 19 inch square monitor. This problem only at the above mentioned resolution , it works fine with other resolutions. I just bought this Monitor 2 days back, do you think the Monitor is defective ? Why is this problem occurring , the system says this is the recommended resolution. Everything works just fine, but I'm getting this tiny screen with output, I can resize it of course, but the content is still in small box [ content doesn't resize ] I've tried to change the number of columns and rows in properties, but it didn't change anything.     Hi, My screen resolution in windows and previous version of Ubuntu (9.04) was 1152 x 864. But in Ubuntu 10.04 it gives me an option of 1024 x 786 and 1360 x 786. I think I will have to edit xorg file properly. Edit 4 : Instead of adding this files to gdm startup scripts I have created a shell script and added it to startup (System - Preference - Startup Applications) #!/bin/bash xrandr --newmode "1152x864_60.00" 81.75 1152 1216 1336 1520 864 867 871 897 -hsync +vsync xrandr --addmode VGA1 1152x864_60.00 xrandr -s 1152x864_60.00 And don't forget to add execution rights. (Right Click - Properties - Permission - Allow executing file as program)
