  Is it possible to attach a listener to all MenuItems in a Menu bar after creating the entire menu bar? Otherwise I need to call addListener on each MenuItem individually, which is a pain with hundreds of menu items (don't ask why). With a listener attached to each MenuItem, I would then be able to demultiplex using the text string of the MenuItem.

• Start jade via batch script as service on windows server 2012 amazon ec2 instance

  I would like to start the Jade agent platform with a batch script on an windows server ec2 instance as a service. The reason for this is, that I want to start jade automatically at system startup. For creating the service I use nssm. However so far its working fine and the service is created. When I want to start the service I get an error message: Windows could not start the NAME service on Local Computer. The service did not return an error... My batch file contains only one line: java jade.Boot -platform-id P%random% If i execute the script via cmd it works fine. Anybody got an idea why this is not working if I start the batch script as a service?

  I have a DataGridView in a VB.NET app that I have limited to cell selection only. The control has two columns, the first is not editable, the second is editable. I have a ContextMenuStrip that provides some additional functionality and I am able to make it appear when an editable cell receives a right click and is not in edit mode. Based on an example in a Microsoft forum, I am able to now show the context menu when an editable cell receives a right click while also in edit mode. • System context menu Icon not transparent like WinRAR

  I added a icon at the system context menu(the popped up menu when we right mouse click on any file/foler). But the icon is not transparent(in xp its not notice able, but in vista/win7 it is clearly visible) there is a white background beneath the icon. But WinRAR or TortoiseSVN icons don't have any white background, they are transparent.   I think I may be using a wrong window style or something or maybe just adding the menu to the window incorrectly.   I currently have an extension that I created and it currently sits inside of its own top level menu. I would like to move it so that the item would appear inside of the Customers menu. Does anyone know how to do this? It looks like this is handled inside the extensions config.xml file. The code that I have for it right now is as follows: <menu> <testimonials module="testimonials"> <title>Testimonials</title> <sort_order>71</sort_order> <children> <items module="testimonials"> <title>Manage Items</title> <sort_order>0</sort_order> <action>testimonials/adminhtml_testimonials</action> </items> </children> </testimonials> </menu> I tried changing the title element to Customers and it just created a duplicate Customers menu.   I have a few programs that creates temp files or backup files or similar files that are not important. For example, GVim for Windows by default creates a backup file in filename.txt~. I sometimes need to clean up a dir and remove all these files. I have made a simple .bat file for this. However, it is cumbersome to have to start up cmd, navigate to the folder, run the script. Especially since this is a script that I would like to run often on various folders. And I do not want to copy the script to multiple folders, as this would be a maintenance nightmare. So, I was thinking, that the best solution would be to add a Right Click menu item that allows me to run the script. So that I can right click on a folder in Explorer and click Cleanup and then have my script run on this folder. So my question is: How do I add a right click menu action that runs a custom batch script?

  I can open a context menu but cannot see the opened menu list through VNC. (I know that i can open the context menu by checking the vnc server machine directly) I tested on different vnc servers / clients machines (although all of them are windows Vista), and different wpf app, but still I cant see any menu list. Is this a reported problem? I found some information about wpf problem relating to windows desktop, but i dont know about vnc. ADDED : I dont have this problem on windows native apps or windows forms apps under my vnc environment.

  C#, winform I have a DataGridView and a context menu that opens when you right click a specific column. What shows up in the context menu is dependant on what's in the field clicked on - paths to multiple files (the paths are manipulated to create a full UNC path to the correct file). The only problem is that I can't get the click working. I did not drag and drop the context menu from the toolbar, I created it programmically. I figured that if I can get the path (let's call it ContextMenuChosen) to show up in MessageBox.Show(ContextMenuChosen); I could set the same to System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(ContextMenuChosen); The Mydgv_MouseUp event below actually works to the point where I can get it to fire off MessageBox.Show("foo!"); when something in the context menu is selected but that's where it ends. I left in a bunch of comments below showing what I've tried when it one of the paths are clicked. Some result in empty strings, others error (Object not set to an instance...). I searched code all day yesterday but couldn't find another way to hook up a dynamically built Context Menu clickEvent. • How to display CodeRush menu item in VS ?

  I just installed CodeRush to my VS and when I run VS for the first time after installation it showed me a dialog asking if I'm experienced user. While the dialog was visible I could see that there was new menu item in VS named DevExpress. There was a small check box on that dialog saying something about menu items that I probably should have checked. As I did not the menu items disappeared just after I clicked OK. I cannot make that menu item reappear. Can somebody help me with this ?

  I have a Flex app with a viewport that loads a series of other swfs. I would like to place a context menu over top of the SWFs when the user right-clicks. To that end, I have set up a fairly standard context menu where each item has a ContextMenuEvent.MENU_ITEM_SELECT event handler. One problem: The eventHandler never gets called. If I place the context-menu code anywhere else in the app, i.e. not on top of a loaded SWF, everything works fine. However, when I place the exact same code on the SWF viewport, the context menu items appear, but the eventHandlers are never called. Any ideas?

On my WinXP SP3 laptop (1.4Ghz 1.2GB ram), after I first log in, when I right-click in Windows Explorer and choose New, the submenu can take up to 15 seconds to load, which is a pain in the ass when you want to do a quick easy operation. After the submenu has loaded the first time, subsequent loads perform instantly, obviously as the menu has been cached. My question is: can these right-click menus (and the Start menu, which also takes some time to load the first time) be pre-loaded at Windows startup? Thanks.

• Custom HorizontalFieldManager menu not showing

  I have created a class that extends HorizontalFieldManager so that I can display a label and an image on the same line with the label to the left and the image to the right. I want the user to be able to interact with the hfm as if it were a single field. I have everything working (focus, click action, etc) except the menu. When I press the menu button makeMenu and makeContextMenu are not called. How do I make it so that the correct menu shows when the menu button is clicked and focus is on the hfm?   I have added, via the registry, a right click menu option for all filetypes which is supposed to get the MD5 checksum for a file. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT*\shell\Checksum - Default: Get Checksum and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT*\shell\Checksum\command - Default: checksum.cmd "%1" checksum.cmd simply clears the screen, calls fciv.exe using %1 and then pauses. Unfortunately, whilst the option "Get Checksum" appears correctly in the right click menu, it doesn't perform the right action when clicked. When I click it an "Open With" dialog opens, which is of course not what I want. Both checksum.cmd and fciv.exe are in the PATH. checksum.cmd: @echo off cls fciv.exe %1 pause Anybody know what's going on?
