  • Android ListView clears when hard BACK key is pressed.

    In my android app I have a Tabhost with a ListView as one of the tabs. By clicking on an item in the ListView (an address) I start an Intent to Google Maps for directions and the choice dialog pops up for google maps, web browser etc. Problem is if I press the hard back button then the launch dialog goes away but also the ListView is cleared. Any idea why?

    I usually run Fiddler for net traffic monitoring and now am using a Mac machine. I thought Firebug's net tab can show the traffic that is fetched through AJAX (the net tab is enabled). But if I try google.com, and type in something, its "google suggest" will show a bunch of suggestions, but the Firebug's "net" tab is not showing anything?

But after uploading to the webserver, it gives me a warning: file_get_contents(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Temporary failure in name resolution. If I replace the domain name with google's IP address, it gives a warning: failed to open stream: Connection timed out. And ini_get("allow_url_fopen") return 1.

In the methods where i am calling them, I have even tried using the fully qualified names, but that doesnt seem to help either. For example gmail uses the following URLs https://mail.google.com/mail/?shva=1#sent https://mail.google.com/mail/?shva=1#label/books I need to generate URL such as /#/post/10, where controller = "post", action = "show", id = "10". Of course it will be good to use standard url-helpers.

    I am trying to compare the current url in webView with a defined url say google.com so in theory.. NSURLRequest *currentRequest = [webView request]; NSURL *currentURL = [currentRequest URL]; would give us our current url... NSString *newurl = @"http://www.google.com"; this would give us the compared to defined url while (!currentURL == newurl) { //do whatever here because currentURL does not equal the newurl } This does not seem to work though.. solutions?
