    Is there any good solution for ajax enabled Grid with pageing and sorting which only brings the required data from database? I mean it should only bring the data from the database which is to be displayed on the particular page number of the grid. I looked at this. It looks good. But I just thought if anyone has created something better using Google's or Yahoo's javascript library or using any good features of asp.net 3.5.

    I was studying the legacy API's in the Java's Collection Framework and I learnt that classes such as Vector and HashTable have been superseded by ArrayList and HashMap. However still they are NOT deprecated, and deemed as legacy when essentially, deprecation is applied to software features that are superseded and should be avoided, so, I am not sure when is a API deemed legacy and when it is deprecated.

    I have a php file with an xml header and xml code, named test.php. How do I load this file as an xml? The following doesn't work: $xml = simplexml_load_file('test.php'); echo $xml; I just get a white page. The test file is saved as php, as it's dynamic. It's loading data from the tradedoubler api.     Hi there I have a question to the following procedure: script/generate scaffold product title:string description:text db:migrate #then I generate a migration which adds a column description to the table products and migrate the db again. My question is: why is the field description not added to the project-views? Is that normal rails scaffold behaviour? I think I saw in a video tutorial that the scaffold updates as well the views, which would be very convenient. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Each version of Visual Studio comes with a specific version of the MFC framework, but I believe MFC SDK can be downloaded separately. Since MFC is just C++, is there any reason you couldn't use the latest version with an older version of VC++... I don't mean trying to get the ribbon working in MSVC++ 6, But we're on VS2005 and some of the newer MFC features would be useful.

  • Subversion Question - How to skip a revision...

    So say I have the three latest revisions of an aspx file: 55,56, and 57. Revision 56 added a feature that I want to remove, but I also want to have the new features deployed in version 57. Is there any way I can merge version 55 with 57, leaving revision 56 out of the picture? If it matters, I'm using Tortoise SVN and Visual SVN, but I normally just use Tortoise. Thanks for any ideas.
