• Inserting equation numbers macro

  I want to insert equations into Word 2010. I'm inserting the center-aligned equations and then want to add a number to the same line, which will be aligned to the right hand side of the page. I'm having a problem with setting the alignment of the number to the right with equation aligned to center.   I have a struct that contains pointers: struct foo { char* f; int* d; wchar* m; } I have a vector of shared pointers to these structs: vector<shared_ptr<foo>> vec; vec is allocated on the stack. When it passes out of scope at the end of the method, its destructor will be called. (Right?) That will in turn call the destructor of each element in the vector. (Right?) Does calling delete foo delete just the pointers such as foo.f, or does it actually free the memory from the heap?

• Querying results on timestamp in mysql

  Hi, I have series of records in a table called 'hits' and each record has the current_timestamp (ie. 2010-04-30 10:11:30) in a column called 'current_time'. What I would like to do is query these records and return only the records from the current month. I cannot seem to get this to work. I have tried a range of queries that don't work such as - Select * FROM hits WHERE MONTH(FROM_UNIXTIME(current_time)) = 4 I don't know if I am even on the right lines! Can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers.

  I have 4 tables built with JOINS and I would like to SELECT DISTINCT rows on the setsTbl.s_id so they always show regardless if there's relational data against them or not!. This is what I have at present which displays the data but doesn't display all of but not the entire distinct row!   I have a program that works when, a file is opened with it using the right click menu in explorer. But if I select multiple files and then right click and open with my program then it opens multiple instances of my program, instead of just passing the multiple files as arguments to a single instance. The program is written in vb.net but is not a windows form, it is just a module, so I can to tick the Single instance option in the properties in Visual Studio. So how do I open multiple files from explorer context menu in a single instance.

• Prevent Apache from answering invalid requests

  I have an Apache web-server that acts as a web front-end for iPhone and iPad applications that communicate by POST and JSON only. Is there any way to prevent Apache from answering requests that are invalid? I can see my error log is filled with attempts to open files such as /admin.php /index.php etc - files that don't exist on my server. I believe this is possible with IIS, but can you do the same thing with Apache? Basically I want the request to appear timed out unless you post exactly the right content to the right file - or at least if you do not request an existing file. This would make the server appear non-existing to everyone but my iPhone users as all communication is SSL and directories are not really guess-able. I did disable the ServerTokens and all that, but I still get File not found etc. when I access the server requesting a random file, which is what these bots do constantly.

What I don't know how to do is to have a triangle that points to the right or down depending on whether the div is open. My HTML looks like this: <a onclick="toggleDiv('myDiv');">Click here to expand or close div</a> <div id="myDiv" style="display:none"> ... </div> How do I add one of those triangles and have it point the right way, ideally with just HTML, Javascript, and CSS? • How to fix a Corrupted USB

  My USB stick has suddenly stopped working. It's a Busbi 4GB. My USB used to be G:/ but as soon as I plugged it in, I used to get a pop up box showing that it was plugged in. Now, when I plug this in, it shows as I:/ and no pop up box appears. It shows in my computer as I:/ and when I click to open it says I:/ is not accessible the disk structure is corrupted and unreadable. I have tried to change the file name back to G:/ but nothing happened (this was under disk management). On disk management, it shows Volume as I:/ Layout simple Type Basic File system RAW status Healthy (Active,Primary partition) Capacity 3.42GB. I've tried right clicking properties then the tab tools and click error checking (this option will check the volume for errors). When I click "check now" it comes up with the disk check could not be performed because Windows cannot access the disk.

I was wondering if there is the best practice on where to store global settings in a rails app. What I mean by that is i.e: I have a few globals defined that may change, but not likely and it seems inappropriate to store them in DB since they are used so much. For instance I have SYSTEM_EMAIL & SYSTEM_EMAIL_SIGNATURE & SYSTEM_STORAGE_ROOT. Right now I keep them in environment.rb, but I'm not sure if this is the right palce to store them. Thank you

• How come this relative positioned div is displayed differently in IE?

  What is with these microsoft browsers? Does microsoft ever do a good job at anything... Anyways, I have a relative positioned div inside another div. The inside-div is positioned with percentage (left: 0%; top:13%). My problem is that in all IE versions the div is displayed some pixels further down than where it is displayed in Chrome, or FF...   Hi all, I"m having some problems with Nhibernate and native sql. I've got an entity with alot of collections and I am doing an SQL Fulltext search on it. So when returning 100 or so entities, I dont want all collections be lazy loaded. In this case I thought I could use the DistinctRootEntityResultTransformer. var items = GetCurrentSession() .CreateSQLQuery(query) .AddEntity("spr", typeof(Customer)) .AddJoin("adr", "spr.addresses") .AddJoin("adrt", "adr.Type") .AddJoin("cty", "adr.City") .AddJoin("com", "spr.communicationItems") .AddJoin("comt", "com.Type") .SetResultTransformer(new DistinctRootEntityResultTransformer()) .List<Customer>(); Doing so an exception is thrown. This is because I try to list customers .List<Customer>() but the transformer returns only entities of the last join added. E.g. in the case above, the entity with alias "comt" is returned when doing .List() instead of .List(). If I would switch last join with the join alias "cty", then the transformer returns a list of cities only... Anyone knows how I can return a clean list of customers in this case?

Edit: In fact, each value is the number of cells (from the current cell to the last cell) according to the given vector. If we take the example where the vector is [-2, 0], with the value *1* (at array[2, 3]): array = [ [<0>, <0>, <1>, <1>, <2>], [<0>, <0>, <1>, <1>, <2>], [<0>, <0>, <1>, *1*, <2>] ] ... we could think such as: The vector [-2, 0] means that -2 is for cols and 0 is for rows. So if we are in array[2, 3], we can move 1 time on the left (left because 2 is negative) with 2 length (because -2.abs == 2). And we don't move on the top or bottom, because of 0 for rows.

• replay in django + apcahce + mod_wsgi ??

  I have a simple django page that has a counter on it. I use Apache2 and mod_wsgi to serve it. First, when I enter this page, the counter shows 0, as it should. The second time when I enter the page the counter shows 1 - again, it is the right behavior. The problem begins now, cause when I enter this page the third time, I get 0 again. When I refresh it goes between 0, and 1, clearly using some cache or so. If I wait for some time and then try again, it will show 2, and 3, but will be stuck with those values, till this cache or whatever it is will be flushed, and then the counter continues. Does somebody knows how I can get it work right (the real scenario deals with getting data from the DB, but the problems with this strange cache are the same). BTW, I don't have any caching engine set in my django settings.

• Conversion of Single to two UInt16 values in .net

  In the good old days of C. I could cast a float to an int (assuming 32 bit system), do some bit manipluation ( bitwise and, right shift, ect ), and get the upper and lower 16 bit hex representations of the floating point number, which I could then store in two short values. I'm not seeing an easy way of doing this in C#. System.Convert.ToUInt16 just does a float to int convert (even after I shift right), which leaves a vlaue of 0 if the float is less than 0, which is not the desired effect. //useless leaves me witg a value 0f 0 UIN16 s1 = (UInt16)((System.Convert.ToUInt32(d2) & 0xffff0000) >> 16); //capture the high word UInt16 s2 = (UInt16)(System.Convert.ToUInt32(d2) & 0xffff); //capture the low word A basic cast (UInt32) doesn't work either.
