  • Custom Ubuntu 12.04 distro not booting

    - by user1427152
After following the instructions at: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomizationFromScratch; I installed xorg, gdm, and gnome. For some reason when I try to run it on both of my computers and qemu, it freezes up. Sadly I cant access a console to view all my logs, but I do have a dump of the boot process. I can also add and remove packages by ch-rooting into the compressed file-system. DUMP: http://pastebin.com/qRZFAAeM

  • If I project a sphere in 3D will it be a circle?

    - by yuumei
Assuming I have infinite vertices to represent the sphere, if I project the sphere from any position/scale in 3D to 2D, will it be a circle? I know it will not be a circle on the screen, because of scaling and different resolutions. But do field of view and aspect ratio effect the results? Edit: Sorry yes, I am talking about perspective projection. Seems the answer is no then, perspective will distort the sphere. Thanks!

  • Does google analytics track visits via tumblr dashboard?

    - by Krista
I wondered if GA tracks visits to my tumblr accessed through tumblr dash by other tumblr users. And if it can track visitors who only view my blog via the tumblr dash. My GA stats are 320 visits for last month, but I have about 400 likes or reblogs for the same time period, so not sure how this is possible, unless the visits through tumblr are not tracked. Does GA only track those who type in my site address directly, or those who are logged in to tumblr to access it as well? Thx

I am now halfway through readign this books and I continue to be favourably impressed by it. It includes many of the new features of C# 4.0, including one that was new to me. This is a very good C# language manual and I have no hesitation in recommending it both to individuals and to C# development teams.  It is good for those learning C# and for those with years of experiance of C#. • dynamic ContextMenu in TreeView vs. MVVM

I have a tree of ViewModels displayed as a TreeView (using HierarchicalDataTemplate). Each ViewModel instance has different commands that can be executed on it wich again are exposed as a list of command ViewModels for each item ViewModel. How can I create a single ContextMenu that opens at the TreeViewItem that was rightclicked and that populates its commands from the underlying item ViewModel's command ViewModels list? • WPF TreeView - How to scroll so expanded branch is visible

    - by Jared
When I expand items in my treeview so that scrolling is necessary, a scrollbar appears. However, it doesn't scroll down for the newly expanded branch of items - they get cropped by the bottom of the control. So as I continue expanding items at the bottom of the tree, I have to keep manually scrolling down to see the new children. Anyone have a suggestion for how make it automatically scroll to show the newly expanded items?
