  I am having issues specifying the dataContractSerializer maxItemsInObjectGraph in host's web.config. <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="beSetting"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="True"/> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="True" /> <dataContractSerializer maxItemsInObjectGraph="2147483646"/> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> <services> <service name="MyNamespace.MyService" behaviorConfiguration="beSetting" > <endpoint address="http://localhost/myservice/" binding="webHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="webHttpBinding1" contract="MyNamespace.IMyService" bindingNamespace="MyNamespace"> </endpoint> </service> </services> The above has no effect on my data pull. The server times out because of the large volume of data. I would like to keep in the web.config so it is easier for future updates.

• WCF tcp.net client/server connection failing "Stream Security is required"

  I am trying to test a simple WCF tcp.net client/server app. The WCF service is being hosted on Windows 7 IIS. I have enabled TCP.net in IIS. I granted liberal security privileges to service app by configuring an app pool with admin rights and set the IIS service application to run in the context. I enabled tracing on the service app to troubleshoot. Whenever I run a simple method call against the service from the WCF client app, I get the following exception: "Stream Security is required at http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing/anonymous, but no security context was negotiated. This is likely caused by the remote endpoint missing a StreamSecurityBindingElement from its binding." • JavaFX Datagrid

  Hi All. Im in the verge of starting a new RIA development. We've been using Flex/Flash for the last 2 years but we were considering using a more OS approach so we though giving JavaFX a try since it seams the only solid option available. However after a couple of days of research we found out that there is not such thing as a datagrid for it, at least not in the core API. For those unfamiliar with Flex, a Datagrid is a component that allows you to display a collection of data in column-row layout (much like a HTML Table on steroids). The beauty of it is that you only need to worry about the data itself as the component does pretty much the rest (sorting, column dragging, etc). Im afraid to ask... but is there something slightly similar for JavaFX? We require nothing as fancy as Flex Datagrids/AdvancedDatagrids, we only require a easy, straight forward way to display grids of data that are able to have a little of interaction like clicking, sorting and that are able to display images, buttons, etc. without having to download a ton of different jars. If there isn´t something out there... This would be a shot in the back of the head to the idea of giving javaFx the chance to compete with flash on our project (which is sad). I really cant believe the SUN people didnt include something like this on the core API...

  I get the following error message when I try to use svcutil to generate a client proxy for a xamlx file that is hosted by AppFabric beta 2: Two different contracts have the same ConfigurationName I understand the message, however, I cannot find its cause or how to fix it. I'm following the 'Introduction to Workflow Services' lab from the VS2010RC training kit. The web application has two services: SubmitApplication.xamlx and EducationScreening.xamlx. I'm not sure why but both of them have four endpoints.   Hi all, I updated a flex application from flex 3.5 to flex 4.0. We are using ant for compiling our project and we have a mxmlc task to handle the flex part. After the upgrade, our mxmlc task broke. • Gomoku array-based AI-algorithm?

  Way way back (think 20+ years) I encountered a Gomoku game source code in a magazine that I typed in for my computer and had a lot of fun with. The game was difficult to win against, but the core algorithm for the computer AI was really simply and didn't account for a lot of code. I wonder if anyone knows this algorithm and has some links to some source or theory about it. The things I remember was that it basically allocated an array that covered the entire board. Then, whenever I, or it, placed a piece, it would add a number of weights to all locations on the board that the piece would possibly impact. For instance (note that the weights are definitely wrong as I don't remember those): 1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 444 1234X4321 3 3 3 2 2 2 1 1 1 Then it simply scanned the array for an open location with the lowest or highest value. Things I'm fuzzy on: Perhaps it had two arrays, one for me and one for itself and there was a min/max weighting? There might've been more to the algorithm, but at its core it was basically an array and weighted numbers Does this ring a bell with anyone at all? Anyone got anything that would help?

  I've created a simple WCF service but when I use Visual Studio to add a service reference, this error comes up. The message with Action '' cannot be processed at the receiver, due to a ContractFilter mismatch at the EndpointDispatcher. This may be because of either a contract mismatch (mismatched Actions between sender and receiver) or a binding/security mismatch between the sender and the receiver. Check that sender and receiver have the same contract and the same binding (including security requirements, e.g. Message, Transport, None).   I have a Winforms app that consumes a C# Webservice. If the WebService throws an Exception my Client app always get's a SoapException instead of the "real" Exception.   This should be totally simple but I can't get it working no matter what I try. I'm trying to use Google Analytics with GWT application. From what I understood, there are two way to do it: First is synchronous, by inserting tracking code at the end of <head> section HTML page and then calling this method: public static native void recordAnalyticsHit(String pageName) /*-{ pageTracker._trackPageview(pageName); }-*/; Second is asynchronous, by inserting tracking code just after <body> tag and then calling this method: public static native void recordAnalyticsHit(String pageName) /*-{ _gaq.push(['_trackPageview(' + pageName + ')']); }-*/; When running each of those methods, however, I get this exceptions in hosted mode: [ERROR] [myproject] Uncaught exception escaped com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (ReferenceError): pageTracker is not defined [ERROR] [myproject] Uncaught exception escaped com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (ReferenceError): _gaq is not defined When observing site in Firebug, I see that ga.js gets loaded, but that's about it. Did anyone get Analytics working with GWT? Also, does _gaq accept page name as trackPageview parameter, since all the examples I've seen use this call: _gaq.push(['_trackPageview()']); (Of course, that also doesn't work for me.)

  Has anyone tried compiling SciPy 0.7.1 on Windows using numpy-1.3.0 that was built with the pre-built ATLAS libraries (atlas3.6.0_WinNT_P4SSE2.zip) linked in the installation document.   If anyone can help me figure out why I am getting the following error when making a call to my WCF service I would be eternally grateful. The maximum message size quota for incoming messages (65536) has been exceeded. To increase the quota, use the MaxReceivedMessageSize property on the appropriate binding element. I have tried modifying the config file on both the service and client, and made sure the service name includes the namespace. I cannt seem to make any progress. • Label in PyQt4 GUI not updating with every loop of FOR loop

  I'm having a problem, where I wish to run several command line functions from a python program using a GUI. I don't know if my problem is specific to PyQt4 or if it has to do with my bad use of python code. What I wish to do is have a label on my GUI change its text value to inform the user which command is being executed. My problem however, arises when I run several commands using a for loop. I would like the label to update itself with every loop, however, the program is not updating the GUI label with every loop, instead, it only updates itself once the entire loop is completed, and displays only the last command that was executed. I am using PyQt4 for my GUI environment. And I have established that the text variable for the label is indeed being updated with every loop, but, it is not actually showing up visually in the GUI. Is there a way for me to force the label to update itself? I have tried the update() and repaint() methods within the loop, but they don't make any difference. I would really appreciate any help.   In Flex3, I could compile pure as3 code and use "embed" tags to load in images. This was done by Flex making a BitmapAsset class. I can still do this in Flex4. However, there was a trick to fakeout flex3 and use my own mx.core.BitmapAsset class to remove some of the extraneous stuff Flex's BitmapAsset brings in with it. This is described here: http://www.ultrashock.com/forums/flex/embed-flex-assets-without-using-flex-123405.html Unfortunately, I cannot get these tricks to work with Flex4 and get smaller file sizes. I end up with the error "VerifyError: Error #1014: Class mx.core::BitmapAsset could not be found." This error leads me to this forum, and a solution as described there: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/message/148762 Following this advice, I add -static-link-runtime-shared-libraries=true, and my swf loads without an error... but this means I am loading in the pieces of the flex framework I wanted to omit (and the file size says so too). Is there a better way to fake out flex4 when it comes to using Embed?

I'm trying to map my entities and cannot use the WithTable() method. It's not available in Intelligence and VS doesn't suggest any namespaces to reference.
