    What is the magic that makes components cling to the edges of a form? I had thought that one must use the resize event of the form and them force each element in the form to resize. But then I saw some sample code which, even when I am editing the form, the elements seem to adhere to a percentage of the space they take up in the form rather than a set diminsion. In other words, when I am editing the form and resizing it, the panels and the parts inside the form bend their shape such that the edges remain a few pixels from the edges. But in my own program I have not been able to find where I can duplicate this feature. When I run my program, this goes to this

  • How to call windows authentication programmatically in sharepoint?

    Hi guys, Here is my scenario. When anonymous user visits site collection's default site, custom login form panel is shown. This form is a webUserControl(.ascx file) that is embeded into page as webpart. Then user enters username and password. When submit button has been clicked, authentication will be handled by code behind of custom login form panel. Here is my question. How can I call SharePoint's authentication method with the username and password that is entered by user. Simply, I want users to login through my custom login form panel because default windows authentication window is looking really bad.

    I have a root UIViewController which has a property called webView. WebView is a UIViewController with a XIB that contains a UIWebView. From my root view I modally (is there any other way?) load the webView ViewController and set its URL, always to the same page. I discovered that if, after loading the webView, I used its default Web page to navigate to another Web page, and then closed the webView and returned to the root controller -- AND THEN reopened the webView, that the webView was not showing the default page but rather the page I navigated to, which means the webView ViewController never got destroyed and removed from memory. This strikes me as very bad. So in the root ViewController, I added this code under viewWillAppear:animated -- if (self.webView != nil) { self.webView = nil) } Is that sufficient? Is there a better way?

  • openvpn: after changing to server mode, client does not create TUN device

    i had a previously working configuration with the config files used in a previous question However, i've changed this now to the following configuration using server mode, everything on the logs seem fine, however the client doesn't create any tun interface, so i don't have anything to connect to, presumably, i need to add or push some route commands, but i don't have any idea at this point what i need to do.     Hi, I am a fan of linux but due to worst intel wireless drivers in linux, I had to switch to windows 7. I have installed cygwin in windows and want to configure ssh, to remotely connect to my laptop.     How does CouchDB handles conflicts while doing bi-directional replication? For example: Lets say there are two address book databases (in server A and B). There is a document for Jack which contains contact details of Jack. Server A and B are replicated and both have the same version of Jack document. In server A, Jack's mobile no is updated. In server B, Jack's address is updated. Now when we do bi-directional replication there is a conflict. How does couchDB handles it? If we initiate replication in a Java program, is there a way to know whether there were any conflicts from the java program?

    How can you remove the favicon using Javascript in google chrome? The goal is to return it to the browser default, which is in this case a blank image. I found this question, but it doesn't work if you leave the link.href attribute as empty. Even if the favicon is set because there is a favicon.ico file on the server, I'd like to remove it and set it back to the default. This only needs to work in chrome. Thanks!

  • Sub-classing TreeView in C# WinForms for mouse over tool tips

    Ok, this is a weird one. The expected behaviour for a TreeView control is that, if ShowNodeToolTips is set to false, then, when a label for a tree node exceeds the width of the control (or, more accurately, it's right hand edge is past the right hand edge of the client area), then a tooltip is shown above the node showing the full item's text. I'd like to disable that, because the above semantic doesn't always work, depending on what the treeview is contained within. So I have rolled my own, and got the tooltips to work (and line up better than the default one!) - but I would like to be able to disable the 'default' behaviour for situations where it would work natively. So, can anyone point me in the right direction as to which message to post to the TreeView in order to disable that behaviour? I have looked at the windows control reference, but couldn't find anything that looked like it might be the one. Thanks Matt

  • iPhone: launch image for tab app?

    I have a tab-based iPhone app where I want to increase the perceived start-up speed with a launch image. As defined by the iPhone HIG, the launch image is a screenshot of your app (called Default.png) that is displayed immediately and looks very similar to the app's first screen (e.g., the screenshot of an empty table when the app displays a table first). Now the problem with a tab-based app is that users can rearrange the order of tabs so that any of the tabs may be the first tab to show upon launch. I think I read somewhere that you can't change the Default.png programmatically in your app, but I couldn't find that in the HIG (and the "Clock" app seems to do exactly that - having one launch image per tab). So, how do provide a launch image for a tab-based app?

    I am trying to compile a program I took off a cd from a book that uses directx to render 3d objects. when i press compile I get the following error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'dxerr9.h': No such file or directory I am using VC++ 2008 Express Edition and i am running off of Vista. I went to the following folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Include and I was not able to find the header there. Unless I am looking in the wrong place. When I initially installed DX sdk I allowed the installer to put everything in a default location. I am not sure If I am looking in the right places or what.

    Hi, let's say that I am a physicist and that I am the master of the universe when it comes to port salready existing oftware to GPU's with 100x or more speedups. Let's say that I find that some other scientist, which does not know how to program GPU, publishes the Open Source code in his/her website of a physical simulation program, in the field I am expert on. Let's say that I realize "I can port that code to GPU", and I suggest him, but he shows no interest. My interest here is, 1) to port it to GPU, 2) to publish this result in a scientific journal related with physics and/or computer science My question for you is 1- would you proceed here to port the code to GPU (or other new arch) and publish it? 2- how would you do it and which journal do you suggest?   • ICU MessageFormat Currency Value Precison Lost

    This may be a niche question but I'm working with ICU to format currency strings. I've bumped into a situation that I don't quite understand. When using the MesssageFormat class, why for a certain locale (Korea "ko"KR" for example) does it round currency values (e.g. 100.50 becomes ?101). For most locales (such as the US "en_US"), the precision of the argument passed in remains untouched (e.g. 100.50 becomes $100.50). I thought this might be a default rounding issue that some locales have (Swiss Francs "fr_CH" for example have a default 0.05 rounding) but South Korea "ko_KR" has none. Any ideas?

  • How can I flush the output of disp in Octave?

    I have a program in Octave that has a loop - running a function with various parameters, not something that I can turn into matrices. At the beginning of each iteration I print the current parameters using disp. The first times I ran it I had a brazillion warnings, and then I also got these prints. Now that I cleaned them up, I no longer see them. My guess is that they're stuck in a buffer, and I'll see them when the program ends or the buffer fills. Is there any way to force a flush of the print buffer so that I can see my prints?

    I just downloaded wxPython, and was running some of the sample programs from here. However, on every line that uses a variable from wx.*, I get a "Undefined variable from import error" For example, the following program generates five errors on lines 1,4,8, and two on line 5: import wx class MyFrame(wx.Frame): """ We simply derive a new class of Frame. """ def __init__(self, parent, title): wx.Frame.__init__(self, parent, title=title, size=(200,100)) self.control = wx.TextCtrl(self, style=wx.TE_MULTILINE) self.Show(True) app = wx.App(False) frame = MyFrame(None, 'Small editor') app.MainLoop() The program, however, compiles and runs perfectly. I haven't made any significant modifications to pydev or eclipse, and the wxPython install is fresh.

  • WPF RichTextBox - Formatting of typed text

    I am applying formatting to selected tokens in a WPF RichTextBox. To do this I get a TextRange that encompasses the token that I would like to highlight. I will then change the color of the text like this: textRange.ApplyPropertyValue(TextElement.ForegroundProperty, Brushes.Blue); This is happening on the TextChanged event of my RichTextBox. The formatting is applied as expected, but continuing to type text will result in the new text inheriting the formatting that has already been applied to the adjacent word. I would like the formatting of any new text to use the default formatting options defined in the RichTextBox properties. Is this possible? Alternatively I could highlight all tokens that I don't want be blue with the default formatting options but this feels awkward to me.

I've tried "getLayoutInflator()" instead of "LayoutInflator.from(this)" with the same result. If I replace the LayoutInflater line with "setContentView(R.layout.unit_view)" my program doesn't crash with a null pointer exception but my content is completely blank and empty. I get the tab and that's it. I've checked to make sure R.layout.unit_view and tabHost are not null when it runs the LayoutInflater line and they seem to be fine. They're defenitely not null. I've also checked to make sure LayoutInflater.from(this) returns a valid layout inflater object and it does.   • Save gcc compile status to a text file for Java

    I'm making a C Assessment Program through Java, which has a bunch of programming questions for C, and it lets the user input an answer in the form of C code, and then press a "Compile" button, which is linked to a bat file that runs the user input code through gcc. I've got the input and compiling working, but I need to get the output from the compiler and get that to print textarea within the program. My batch file is: C: cd dev-cpp\bin gcc.exe H:\workspace\QuestionProgram\demo\demo.c -o demo > H:\workspace\QuestionProgram\demo\compilestatus.txt demo > H:\workspace\QuestionProgram\demo\output.txt I'm not sure how I can do it, so the frame is created for the output of the code if the code requires a user input as the command prompt doesn't open without adding "START" to .exec(), but then the frame appears before the program has finished running. Also, how would I get the output of the compiler if the compile fails because of an error? The way I've got it in my batch file at the moment doesn't put anything in a text file if it fails.

  • MIDL2003 Error in VC6 project

    While bug fixing I tracked a problem to an old vc6 compiled dll that hasn't been touched in nearly 3 years. After checking out the most recent source I am getting the following error when trying to compile. Processing C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT SDK\INCLUDE\msxml.idl msxml.idl .\ocidl.idl(1524) : error MIDL2003 : redefinition : IErrorLog .\ocidl.idl(1541) : error MIDL2003 : redefinition : IPropertyBag Google gives lots of suggestions regarding Visual Studio 2002 - 2003 errors but I can't find anything that relates to Visual Studio 6 or can be applied to my problem. I did find this page but following it's advice didn't fix my problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? (I am presuming that it did work once.) Other items of interest: I have the February 2003 Platform SDK installed, and looking at the add/remove program page I have Micrsoft XML Parser and SDK, MSXML 4.0 SP2 and MSXML 6.0 Parser too.
