  • does mod_rewrite output have to exist?

    I am trying to use mod_rewrite to generate cleaner urls. I have the following in my .htaccess Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^mypage.php$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}/mypage [R=301,L] The objective is to go from https://mysite.com/mypage.php to https://mysite.com/mypage This gives me a 404 error. I don't actually have the directory mypage/ existing. But from my understanding, I don't need to actually have mypage for mod_rewrite to work. What am I doing wrong?

  • Grails: GGTS not running on Amazon AWS EC2 anyone else successful?

    Im just curious if anyone has had success trying to run the Groovy Grails tool suite on an Amazon AWS EC2 instance with its display exported into your windows machine. If so, I wanted to know which flavor of linux was used on the EC2. I am not having much success with it on the Amazon Linux but haven't tried their Ubuntu instances yet. I got all the way to getting GGTS installed and getting the display exported but when I launch GGTS I get log errors about libraries missing. This is most likely because I didn't use yum to install it so I am probably missing dependencies but I didn't have a choice its not offered as a yum package.     I have figured out how to remove bad files in my folders but I am wanting to know how to add certain named files to that folder. I want to add something like address.xml I have this and can remove the bad files. for addxml in $(find $DIRECTORY/$directoryname -name address.xml); do rm -v $addxml done I am trying to learn how later down the code I can add a file from another folder no where near the folders that are being edited.

    I have a sgen step in my .NET 3.5 library, producing a correct XYZ.XmlSerializers.dll in the output directory. Still having poor serialization performance, I discovered that .NET was still invoking a csc at runtime. Using process monitor, I saw that .NET was searching for a dll named "XYZ.XmlSerializers.-1378521009.dll". Why is there a '-1378521009' in the filename ? How to tell .NET to use the 'normal' DLL produced by sgen ?

I want matlab to download the historical data for last 5 years for each stock ticker into a separate xls spreadsheet and save it in a given directory with title of the sheet = ticker.     Suppose you have 2 files in the same directory: New File Name.txt and NewFil~1.txt If you use CopyFileEx to copy both files to the same destination, maintaining the same names, you will end up having only ONE file (the second one replaces the first one) which can be sometimes not a good thing. Any workaround for this behavior?

  • Cannot debug in visual studio 2008

    I recently reopened a project and on trying to debug the breakpoint only shows as a red circle and gives the following message "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document" I notice there are no PB files in the bin directory. I presume I need to rebuild the debug files. Does anybody know how to go about this?     In many projects, I check out the complete repository and have then the standard directory structure: project/ branches/ tags/ trunk/ If I do an svn up project, it's all fine with the branches and trunk folders, but, of course, the tags folder is updated, too, and filled with (mostly) lots of tagged versions that are of no value for my work and only occupy disk space. How can I except the tags folder from an svn update? Especially, how can I do this locally only, that is, without committing that back to the repository, as a solution with the svn:ignore keyword would do?
