It consists of the following fields: report_id INT ym VARCHAR -- YYYY-MM keyword VARCHAR(MAX) visits INT I can easily get the top 10 keyword hits with the following query: SELECT TOP 10 * FROM top_keywords WHERE ym BETWEEN '2010-05' AND '2010-05' ORDER BY visits DESC Now where it gets tricky is where I have to get the top 10 records for each report_id in the given date range (ym BETWEEN @start_date AND @end_date). How would I go about getting the top 10 for each report_id? I've stumbled across suggestions involving the use of ROW_NUMBER() and RANK(), but have been vastly unsuccessful in their implementation.

    I have a table in MySQL 4.0 which currently has a year field as a smallint(6) type. What will happen if I convert it directly to a Year type with a query like the following: ALTER TABLE t MODIFY y YEAR(4) NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP; When the current members of column y have values like 2010? I assume that because the year type is technically values from 1-255, values above that will be truncated or broken. So if MySQL isn't smart enough to realize that 2010(int) = 110(year), what would be the simplest query or queries to convert the values? Thanks for your help!

    I am using wordpress and I am displaying my archives list in a sidebar using the function wp_get_archives('type=monthly'); I have posts from Feb 2005 to April 2010 but I want to display June 2009 onwards links. (i.e. june 2009, july 2009, ....april 2010). How do I prevent Feb 2005 - may 2005 from being displayed in the archives list. (Please don't suggest adding a limit i.e. wp_get_archives('type=daily&limit=15'); . That will not solve my problem)

    If I have a pair of dates, and I want to generate a list of all the dates between them (inclusive), I can do something like: System.DateTime s = new System.DateTime(2010, 06, 05); System.DateTime e = new System.DateTime(2010, 06, 09); var list = Enumerable.Range(0, (e - s).Days) .Select(value => s.AddDays(value)); What I'm stuck on is that I've got a list of pairs of dates that I want to explode into a list of all the dates between them. Example: {2010-05-06, 2010-05-09}, {2010-05-12, 2010-05-15} should result in {2010-05-06, 2010-05-07, 2010-05-08, 2010-05-09, 2010-05-12, 2010-05-13, 2010-05-14, 2010-05-15} Note the pairs of dates are guaranteed not to overlap each other.

    When I first start one of my Wordpress blogs, I had the permanent URL for each post include the date of posting. The slug format looked like this: /blog/2010/01/25/this-is-my-article/ Later on, I changed it so that the date was not included in the permanent URL, like this: /blog/this-is-my-article/ and setup a redirect plugin to make sure that users would get to the page they wanted until the site was re-indexed. In Google Analytics, when I review the stats for content I now have multiple records for what is essentially the same page. ie: Top Content List: 45 Pageviews- /blog/this-is-my-article/ 24 Pageviews- /blog/2010/01/25/this-is-my-article/ 33 Pageviews- /blog/some-other-article/ Is there any way to combine those records somehow?

I have set options to generate map and .jdbg files. Other functions, like ProcByLevel work fine. Is there something else I need to do to make JclLastExceptStackListToStrings work?     Hi, I have a XML file with a few concert dates. In my flash/AS3 file, I would like to show only the up coming event, relative to current date. Like this: Event 01: 30-05-2010 Event 02: 02-06-2010 Event 03: 05-06-2010 Today is 28-05-2010, so I need to list Event 01. On 01-06-2010 I need to list Event 02.     I just upgraded from rails 2.3.5 to rails 2.3.8, but now my redirects are not working properly. Despite the fact that the redirect is not working, the login-cookie is not set too (but I think, this is both related somehow). I have already tried to override redirect_to in order to set response.headers['Location'] etc., but they did not appear in the response.

    I have a boost::posix_time::ptime that points to March 31st 2010 like this: ptime p(date(2010, Mar, 31)); I would like to subtract a month (and possibly years) from this date. From the docs I see these two operators: ptime operator-(time_duration) and ptime operator-(days) but none of them can work with months/years. If I try and do: time_duration duration = hours(24 * 30); ptime pp = p - duration; I'm getting March 1st and if I'm trying: ptime pp = p - days(30); I'm still getting March 1st, while I'd like to get February 28th. How can I achieve my desired result? (I would like to get the desired result also when subtracting a month from March 28, 29, 30)

    As in the example, I am trying to substring the Video_full column in a data.frame (video_data_2) I am working on. I want to keep all the characters after the period. The period is always present, there is only one period and it is in a different position in each value for the column.     Arrrg!I am running into what i feel is a dumb issue with a simple script i'm writing in powershell. I am invoking a sql command that is calling a stored proc, with the results i put it a array.     I've run into a spot of bother with date formats in our Rails application. I have a date field in our view which I want to be formatted as dd/mm/yy. This is how the user will expect to enter their dates, and the datepicker control uses this format. However, Active Record seems to be expecting mm/dd/yy. If I enter 01/03/2010, this gets put in as 03 January 2010. If I enter 25/03/2010, this gets put in a null. How do I get ActiveRecord to expect Her Majesties date format?

  • How do you know how much space an NSString (using default font) will occupy on a UITableView section

    Basically I want to copy the behavior in iPhone's Calendar where the day of week (Mon, Tue, Wed) is on the left side of the table's section header (left justified) while the formatted date (Apr 1, 2010, May 1, 2010) based on locale is on the right side of the table's section header (right justified). I was thinking of inserting a variable amount of space in between the day of week and formatted date but I first need to know the actual space consumed by the text on both sides to figure out how much space to add.
