• Printing an East Coast Timestamp in Arizona time

  Hello, The code returns "datesubmitted" in a nice format. The field "datesubmitted" is a timestamp of East Coast time. How could I print it out as Arizona time? Right now, that would be 3 hours behind East Coast time. For now, I would be happy just to do that. However, during other parts of the year (when Daylight Savings time is not being used), Arizona time is only 2 hours behind East Coast time. Is there a way that I could print the date below so that Arizona time is always correctly displayed? Or would I have to change the code when Daylight Savings time stops and starts? • identify documents from results of mahout clustering

  I am using mahout to cluster text documents indexed using solr. I have used the "text" field in the document to form vectors. Then I used the k-means driver in mahout for clustering and then the clusterdumper utility to dump the results. I am having difficulty in understanding the output results from the dumper. I could see the clusters formed with term vectors in those clusters. But how do I extract the documents from these clusters. I want the result to be the input documents appearing in different clusters.

• Overriding the default error message for a ModelForm

  Is there any way to override a error_message text for all the fields of a ModelForm's, without having to include all the field info in the ModelForm? For example, let's say I have a (very simple) model like this: People(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=128, null=True, blank=True, help_text="Please type your name.") age = models.IntegerField(help_text="Please type your age.") I don't like the cut and dry default messages, such as, "Enter a whole number.", so I'd like to change them to something a bit nicer like "Please type a number." Ideally I'd be able to add an "error_message" property in the model, but the model does not support that property. So does that mean I have to basically duplicate all the model info in my ModelForm, or is there a way around that?

  Hai, I would like to calculate actual time from different timezones. I have two mysql tables 1.Timezone table: This table contians two fields (offset value, country name) values are ( -12:00, Eniwetok, Kwajalein) (-11:00, Midway Island, Samoa).... so on 2.My employee table This table contains the employees details with two field names (created_on, timezone) and the values are (current timestamp, -11:00) (current timestamp, -12:00)..... so on Now, If my employee logged in to my system, i want to display the time according to their timezones values from tables. Basically if my Current timestamp is :2010-05-10 15:41:39 offset values is: +5:30 my result should be : 10 May 2010 3:41pm the same for different offset values for the same current timestamp. I believe i explained the issue correctly, if you want any information, please ask me.

• Entity update from ASP.NET MVC page with post to Edit action

  I have a form that posts back to /Edit/ and my action in controller looks like this: // // POST: /Client/Edit [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult Edit(Client client) My form includes a subset of Client entity properties and I also include a hidden field that holds an ID of the client. The client entity itself is provided via the GET Edit action. Now I want to do entity update but so far I've only been trying without first loading the entity from the DB. Because the client object that comes in POST Edit has everything it needs. I want to update just those properties on the entity in datastore. So far I've tried with Context.Refresh() and AttachTo() but with no success - I'm getting all sorts of exceptions. I inspected the entity object as it comes from the web form and it looks fine (it does have an ID and entered data) mapped just fine. If I do it with Context.SaveChanges() then it just inserts new row..

• Custom HorizontalFieldManager menu not showing

  I have created a class that extends HorizontalFieldManager so that I can display a label and an image on the same line with the label to the left and the image to the right. I want the user to be able to interact with the hfm as if it were a single field. I have everything working (focus, click action, etc) except the menu. When I press the menu button makeMenu and makeContextMenu are not called. How do I make it so that the correct menu shows when the menu button is clicked and focus is on the hfm? Am I going about this the wrong way?

So I intend to change to another way to approach the goal. Here's my idea: Get a stream from http url. Decode the mp3 stream. Play the result from step 2. • Manually Dispatching a DocumentEvent for testing UI element validation code

  Hi. I'm testing a Swing GUI application using the UISpec4J testing framework. I'm testing validation code on a JTextField, but the framework does not support focus-change events, as it runs the application in a headless fashion. The text field has a DocumentEvent attached to it that activates the validation code. I'm trying to figure out how to dispatch the document event manually to activate the validation code. Trying to dispatch focus or mouse events manually haven't been working for me. Thanks for any help!

• Facebook user_id as MongoDB BSON ObjectId?

  I'm rebuilding Lovers on Facebook with Sinatra & Redis. I like Redis because it doesn't have the long (12-byte) BSON ObjectIds and I am storing sets of Facebook user_ids for each user. The sets are requests_sent, requests_received, & relationships, and they all contain Facebook user ids. I'm thinking of switching to MongoDB because I want to use it's geospatial indexing. If I do, I'd want to use the FB user ids as the _id field because I want the sets to be small and I want the JSON responses to be small. But, is the BSON ObjectId better (more efficient for MongoDB) to use than just an integer (fb user_id)?

  I need to write a custom setter method for a field (we'll call it foo) in my subclass of NSManagedObject. foo is defined in the data model and Xcode has autogenerated @property and @dynamic fields in the .h and .m files respectively. If I write my setter like this: - (void)setFoo: (NSObject *)inFoo { [super setFoo: inFoo]; [self updateStuff]; } then I get a compiler warning on the call to super. Alternatively, if I do this: - (void)setFoo: (NSObject *)inFoo { [super setValue: inFoo forKey: inFoo]; [self updateStuff]; } then I end up in an infinite loop. So what's the correct approach to write a custom setter for a subclass of NSManagedObject?

  Hello. I am creating a site that requires a very small postcode checker. I have approx 8 postcode prefix's, HX, HD, BD, LS etc in an array. I also have a simple input field and submit btn. When the user types in a postcode for example HX5 9DU I want Jquery to check the array, if there is match for the first 2/3 letters I want a div to fade in displaying a message. How would I do this? • Using a backwards relation (i.e FOO_set) for ModelChoiceField in Django

  I have a model called Movie, which has a ManyToManyField called director to a model called Person, and I'm trying to create a form with ModelChoiceField like so: class MovieSearchForm(forms.Form): producer = forms.ModelChoiceField(label='Produced by', queryset=movies.models.Person.producer_set, required=False) but this seems to be failing to compile (I'm getting a ViewDoesNotExist exception for the view that uses the form, but it goes away if I just replace the queryset with all the person objects), I'm guessing because '.producer_set' is being evaluated too 'early'. How can I get this work? here are the relevant parts of the movie/person classes: class Person(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=100) class Movie(models.Model): ... producer = models.ForeignKey(Person, related_name="producers") director = models.ForeignKey(Person, related_name="directors") What I'm trying to do is get ever Person who is used in the producer field of some Movie.

Customer has foreign key to Address Customer (id, phys_address_id, mail_address_id) Address (id, street, city, etc.) Option 2. Customer has one-to-many relationship to Address, which contains a field to describe the address type Customer (id) Address (id, customer_id, address_type, street, city, etc.) Option 3. Address information is de-normalized and stored in Customer Customer (id, phys_street, phys_city, etc. mail_street, mail_city, etc.) One of my overriding goals is to simplify the object-relational mappings, so I'm leaning towards the first approach.   I have a list grouped by Region and it currently shows all the items for each city. I want to reduce to only the most recent advisory for each city. I have tried to use an xsl:for-each statement but I am messing up the names/parameters. List is called mlc The list contains the fields: Title City Region Advisory DateCreated TT (calculated number field to find the number of minutes from the DateCreated to end of today which I intended to use the smallest to find the most recent) I have the list grouped by Region and it currently shows all the items for each city. • Help with Custom Workflow that checks db

  I need to write a workflow that monitors the status of a sql server column/field and does work to some other tables once the column has changed to "Close". (It could wait for days or hours) My application is written in c# .net 3.5. • checksum error with building an HTTP packet(but over TCP, like syn/ack its ok)

  I am building a NAT program,I change each packet that comes from our internal subnet, change it's source IP address by libnet functions.( catch the packet with libpcap, put it sniff structures and build the new packet with libnet) I am trying to build an http packet. When I look on wireshark, I see that the new packet that I have built is exectly like the original packet(the only diffrent is that I changed the src port and ip), but there is a checksum error, So the server don't do anything with the packet that I have sent to him, beacuse the cheksum field is wrong. When I send a tcp packet(like syn or ack), the checksum is ok, and the server respons. Is anyone knows what can cause this problem? the new checksum in other packets is calculated as it should be.. but in the HTTP packet it doesn't..

It is defined as as a Double in my DB. I am using LINQ to EF. So I would be assigning the UserId, MiscId, and the Rating would be the average on the records returned. • How can I evaluate a deferred Linq statement when debugging?

  I'm debugging in VS2010, and I want to inspect a string value but all I can get the debugger to show me (through watches, hovering, locals, etc.) is: "System.Linq.Enumerable+<TakeIterator>d__3a`1[System.Char]" I don't care if there are side effects from premature evaluation or whatever, I just want to see what the expression would evaluate to if I evaluate it right now at the current breakpoint. How is this done? Also can I change my code in such a way that it evaluates earlier? Not that I care when I'm not debugging... but just wondering. In case it is relevant... (I doubt it.) I'm stuffing a new entity object before saving it to the database... some fields are assigned with LINQ statements, I'm not sure when they get evaluated under the covers of EF. The DB update fails with 'string or binary data would be truncated... So I'm trying to find the too-long field.

• Rendering inconsistencies in Internet Explorer

Which is kind of odd. I checked with some other browsers and it works fine, it also works fine on Windows 7 with IE 8. • Rails Authlogic Prevent User from Changing their Login/Username

  Hello, I have implemented Authlogic. I believe that this isn't an authlogic specific quesetion. Assume that I have a User model and each User has a column in the database called "login". Upon creating a user, the login column is populated. However, I don't want the user to be able to change their login once they set it. Currently, I have removed the text field in the _form.html.erb file in my views for users. However, it can probably still be accessed through the url right? How can I make it so that once a login is set, it can not be changed at all?

Customers require to have ability edit Word templates via MS Word (change style, font, layout e.t.c) with no additional software to be installed and no training. AFAIK, Sql Reporting Services and Crystal Reports can't populate MS Word templates produced in MS Word. So we implemented our custom solution that maps .net classes onto xml-saved MS Word documents. • Rendering of graphics different depending on position

  When drawing parallel vertical lines with a fixed distance between them (1.75 pixels) with a non-integer x-value-offset to both lines, the lines are drawn differently based on the offset. In the picture below are two pairs of very close together vertical lines. As you can see, they look very different. This is frustrating, especially when animating the sprite.
