• CakePHP form $options['options']

  Hey! Total CakePHP noob here. This is sort of a two fold question. In a view that is used for adding user objects I would like to use a drop down (selection) field in the form. Each user belongs to a group so when I add a user I want a drop down that contains all of the groups that the user could possibly join. Currently the group_id field is a textfield. I know how to force it to be a selection field, but I don't know how to populate the selection with the names of the groups programmatically. The Current method: echo $form->input('group_id', array( '1' => 'NameOfGroup1', '2' => 'NameOfGroup2', '3' => 'NameOfGroup3') ); I want to generate the options array programmatically though. echo $form->input('group_id', $this->Group->find('list')); This doesn't work though. I get an error: Undefined property: View::$Group [APP/views/users/add.ctp, line 8] To me this means that I don't have access to the Group object from inside my user view. How can I accomplish this? Again, I want to do it programmatically so that it updates as I add groups or remove them.

• How to query two tables based on whether or not record exists in a third?

  I have three tables, the first two fairly standard: 1) PRODUCTS table: pid pname, etc 2) CART table: cart_id cart_pid cart_orderid etc The third is designed to let people save products they buy and keep notes on them. 3) MYPRODUCTS table: myprod_id myprod_pid PRODUCTS.prod_id = CART.cart_prodid = MYPRODUCTS.myprod_pid When a user orders, they are presented with a list of products on their order, and can optionally add that product to myproducts. I am getting the info necessary for them to do this, with a query something like this for each order: SELECT cart.pid, products.pname, products.pid FROM products, cart WHERE products.pid = cart_prodid AND cart_orderid=orderid This is fine the first time they order. However, if they subsequently reorder a product which they have already added to myproducts, then it should NOT be possible for them to add it to myproducts again - basically instead of 'Add to MyProducts' they need to see 'View in MyProducts'. I am thinking I can separate the products using two queries: Products never added to MyProducts By somehow identifying whether the user has the product in MyProducts already, and if so excluding it from the query above. Products already in MyProducts By reversing the process above. I need some pointers on how to do this though.

  Regarding to SQL performance. I have Scalar-Valued function for checking some specific condition in base, It returns BIT value True or False, I now do not know how I should fill @BIT parameter If I write. set @bit = convert(bit,1) or set @bit = 1 or set @bit='true' Function will work anyway but I do not know which method is recommended for daily use. Another Question, I have table in my base with around 4 million records, Daily insert is about 4K records in that table. Now I want to add CONSTRAINT on that table whit scalar valued function that I mentioned already Something like this ALTER TABLE fin_stavke ADD CONSTRAINT fin_stavke_knjizenje CHECK ( dbo.fn_ado_chk_fin(id)=convert(bit,1)) Where is filed "id" primary key of table fin_stavke and dbo.fn_ado_chk_fin looks like create FUNCTION fn_ado_chk_fin ( @stavka_id int ) RETURNS bit AS BEGIN declare @bit bit if exists (select * from fin_stavke where id=@stavka_id and doc_id is null and protocol_id is null) begin set @bit=0 end else begin set @bit=1 end return @bit; END GO Will this type and method of cheeking constraint will affect badly performance on my table and SQL at all ? Can anyone help me with it? Also, instead of namevaluecollection, which type of structure can i use?

• addNotify not works allright

  Hello. I call addNotify() method in class that I posted here. The problem is, that when I call addNotify() as it is in the code, setKeys(objs) do nothing. Nothing appears in my explorer of running app. But when I call addNotify()without loop(for int....), and add only one item to ArrayList, it shows that one item correctly. Does anybody knows where can be problem? • Prolog adding and removing list element if non present in second list

  I don't know what I'm missing here. I wan't to add an element if it is in arg1 but not in arg2 and want to remove an element if it is in arg1 but not in arg2. I'm using an if condition with includes function that return true if the element is in the arg2 list, false otherwise. Then use built it predicates append and select to add or remove. I'm getting false to all my objectives searches. I comment and uncomment depending on what predicate I want, add or remove. includes([],_). includes([P|Z],S) :- memberchk(P,S), includes(Z,S). addop([],list,res). addop([P|R],list,res) :- includes(P,s0) - addop(R,list,res) ; append(P,list,res), addop(R,list,res). rem([],list,res). rem([P|R],list,res) :- includes(P,list) - rem(R,list,res) ; select(P,list,res),rem(R,list,res).   hi In blackberry i have created a horizontal field managar and added some buttons of small size to it to display toolbar at the bottom of the screen.But my problem is there is too much space between the 2 buttons.I have to reduce this space between 2 buttons so that i can manage to place atleast 6 buttons at the bottom of the screen.I am using the BFmsg.setMargin(305,0,0,40) statement. can anyone please help me on this. This code is used to achieve 1 ms timer tick. timeOutCNT is increamented in interrupt. • Why can't HTC Droid running OTA 2.1 communicate with RFCOMM?

  Yesterday we received OTA Android 2.1 on my wife's HTC Droid - HOORAY!!! I am finally able to load my carputer app on her phone. Well we loaded it, but it doesn't work. Specifically, it connects but sees no I/O!!! I paired, re-paired, and re-paired again, every time its the same problem: connect() says we connected successfully, but any attempt to send or receive data appears to work but no data ever arrives in the input buffer. The device I'm connecting to uses AT commands. ATI should respond with a device ID. That works fine when I run the app on my Moto Droid, but on the HTC droid, no data is ever present in the inputstream/buffer. Personally, I'm feeling pretty sure it's a bug or limitation in this release for the HTC (because the app works great on my Moto A855 Droid). Can anybody comment on the issue? • Authenticated WCF: Getting the Current Security Context

  I have the following scenario: I have various user's data stored in my database. This data was entered via a web app. We'd like to expose this data back to the user over a web service so that they can integrate their data with their applications. We would also like to expose some business logic over these services. As such we do not want to use OData. This is a multi-tenant application so I only want to expose their data back to them and not other users. Likewise, the business logic we expose should be relative to the authenticated user. I would like let the user use an OASIS scheme to authenticate with the web service -- WCF already allows for this out of the box as far as I understand -- or perhaps we can issue them certificates to authenticate with. That bit hasn't really been worked out yet. Here is a bit of pseudo-code of how I envision this would work within the service: function GetUsersData(id) var user := Lookup User based on Username from Auth Context var data := Get Data From Repository based on "user" return data end function For the business logic scenario I think it would look something like this: function PerformBusinessLogic(someData) var user := Lookup User based on Username from Auth Context var returnValue := Perform some logic based on supplied data return returnValue end function The hard bit here is getting the current username (or cert info in the cert scenario) that the user authenticated with! Does WCF even enable this scenario? If not would WSE3 enable this? Thanks,

• Drupal theme preprocess function - primary links

  I recently wrote a theme function to add a class to my primary links that works great. I then wrote some css classes to style these links with custom background images. Worked out great. Now comes the problem, the link text for the primary links still is displayed. Normally this isn't a problem as I would just wrap the in a with a custom "hide" class. For example: <span class="hide"><a href="#">Link Text</a></span> So my question is how can I loop through the primary links and wrap the text w/ a <span> like my example? This code is used to achieve 1 ms timer tick. timeOutCNT is increamented in interrupt.   I'm a complete newbie to Nginx, so much so that I followed a online guide to do most of my server setup. I'm trying to learn but I'm still a ways away from understanding it all. So what I'm trying to create is a link shortener that redirects (example.com/x) to (example.com/short.php?id=x). Keep in mind that I'm also running a Wordpress blog on the same domain and plan on using the redirects/shortening for external links. The guide has so far had me add the following rewrites to enable Wordpress pretty URLs: # WordPress pretty URLs: (as per dominiek.com) if (-f $request_filename) { break; } if (-d $request_filename) { break; } rewrite ^(.+)$ /index.php?q=$1 last; # Enable nice permalinks for WordPress: (as per Yawn.it) error_page 404 = //index.php?q=$uri; And if it matters any, it was saved at (/usr/local/nginx/conf/wordpress_params.regular). • Adding custom methods to a subclassed NSManagedObject

  I have a Core Data model where I have an entity A, which is an abstract. Entities B, C, and D inherit from entity A. There are several properties defined in entity A which are used by B, C, and D. I would like to leverage this inheritance in my model code. In addition to properties, I am wondering if I can add methods to entity A, which are implemented in it's sub-entities. For example: I add a method to the interface for entity A which returns a value and takes one argument I add implementations of this method to A, B, C, D Then, I call executeFetchRequest: to retrieve all instances of B I call the method on the objects retrieved, which should call the implementation of the method contained in B's implementation I have tried this, but when calling the method, I receive: [NSManagedObject methodName:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance I presume this is because the objects returned by executeFetchRequest: are proxy objects of some sort. Is there any way to leverage inheritance using subclassed NSManagedObjects? I would really like to be able to do this, otherwise my model code would be responsible for determining what type of NSManagedObject it's dealing with and perform special logic according to the type, which is undesirable. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

  I want to add a class to a list item when I hover over it, and then remove it and add it to a different list item if a different list item is hovered over. The reason for this is the controll on tab 2 is not in the "created" state, so its binding to change the checkbox from unchecked to checked does not happen until after the control has been "Created". checkbox1.CreateControl() does not do anything because according to MSDN CreateControl does not create a control handle if the control's Visible property is false. You can either call the CreateHandle method or access the Handle property to create the control's handle regardless of the control's visibility, but in this case, no window handles are created for the control's children. I tried getting the value of Handle(there is no CreateHandle for Button) but still the same result. Any suggestions other than have the program quickly flash all of my tabs that have data-bound check boxes when it first loads?

• razor websites not working and all dlls are present

  I've uploaded a .cshtml website to a surftown server, and I got some problems running the code. But I have a problem with it running the Razor code. This is how the page renders:(Default.cshtml) I've already checked for internal communication problems. And this is my result: But then why isn't it working, and how can I fix it? I've heard that it can be a problem with views but how whould I fix this if that's the case? • Adding SDK-specific frameworks to Xcode

  Hi, Xcode 3.2 kind of broke the build process of my iPhone app. I need to add a new framework to my project (MediaPlayer.framework). So I go into my Target settings and try to add it to the "Linked Libraris" by hitting the [+] button. In the list the MediaPlayer.framework is missing, as well as other frameworks, such as UIKit, CoreGraphic and others. Some frameworks are still there. I can add the frameworks by adding the SDK-specific ones (going into /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOs.platform/...yadayadayada../frameworkd/) but then of course I can only compile for the iPhone platform and not for the simulator any more. So basically I wonder how I can get Xcode back to chose the appropriate framework, depending on platform and SDK version for me? Thanks and kind regards, Hans Schneider Edit: Things I tried: Setting the Base SDK to 3.0 (was still 2.2.1), reinstalling 3.0 iPhone and Simulator SDK from the "packages" directory of the Xcode 3.2 DMG. Didn't help. The frameworks still wont show up in the list... Edit 2: Ok, I now have the frameworks back in the list, I was previously in my AdHoc configuration. In Debug I have the frameworks back. But it still wont compile for the Simualtor (lots of Symbols(s) not found errors). Looks like the linker doesn't choose the correct libraries and always uses the iPhoneOs3.0 path for the frameworks.
