• How to install wvdial without getting the following error?

  When I ran the command: sudo apt-get install wvdial I got this error message : error p@p:~$ sudo apt-get install wvdial Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Package wvdial is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source E: Package wvdial has no installation candidate p@p:~$ So how can I install wvdial? I don't have access to internet from Ubuntu for direct installation. Please help

• PNG file loading error in ImageMagick

  I'm trying to understand the tutorial 16 at http://ogldev.atspace.co.uk, which requires the image processing library ImageMagick. But when I run the tutorial, I encountered an following error: freeglut: failed to change scree settings Error loading textures 'test.png': no decode delegates for this image format 'C:/../appdata/magick-6024a_cIJcw90t-j'@error/constitute.c/ReadImage/552 I searched for google and found that my ImageMagick library do not have PNG Delegaes, but when I checked for the information of ImageMagick, it sees PNG in its delegate lists. Command line: convert -configure Result: LIB_VERSION 0x687 DELEGATES: bzlib, freetype, jpeg, jp2, lcms, png, tiff, x11, xml, wmf, zlib Could you explain to me this error, thanks so much!

With this release comes another milestone on Oracle's Data Integration roadmap - OWB is no longer shipped with the database. You will notice that the OWB documentation is no longer included with the Oracle Database documentation, you can compare and contrast the 11.2 and 12.1 documentation below. OWB 11gR2 is still supported with Oracle Database 12c, you will need 11.2.0.3 plus at least CP2 which has been certified with Oracle Database 12c.   I need to manually install the drivers for my graphics card, which is an ATI 2600 xt. But I am using a 64-bit platform and to do so i need the ia32-libs package. i have scoured the net for fixes, workarounds etc. but have found none that work. the output i get after trying apt-get is: Reading package lists...   I have a website for which one month stat shows: Unique Visitors 6274 Total Visitors 7260 Pages visited 9520 Hits 88891 Whats concerns me about is the HTTP status code: 302 Moved temporarily (redirect) 36302 How come 40% hits are being redirected.   I would like to ask if there is any good program for ubuntu 12.04 to organize a library of books.I have to mention that I have books written on my native language (Greek) and I have books written in other languages like English,French,etc....So basically I need an application which can fetch information from databases for Greek books.For example add a Greek (ISBN) book database source and when I type the ISBN of the book in the program to find the book from that database/es.Do you know if this is possible?I have already tried Tellico and GCstar but they were unable to find books with Greek ISBN.I tried to add a Greek book source but my wasn't successful.

• HTML5 clicking objects in canvas

  I have a function in my JS that gets the user's mouse click on the canvas. Now lets say I have a random shape on my canvas (really its a PNG image which is rectangular) but i don't want to include any alpha space. My issue lies with lets say i click some where and it involves a pixel of one of the images. The first issue is how do you work out the pixel location is an object on the map (and not the grass tiles behind). Secondly if i clicked said image, if each image contains its own unique information how do you process the click to load the correct data. Note I don't use libraries I personally prefer the raw method. Relying on libraries doesn't teach me much I find.

• broadcom 43225 wireless on acer laptop is disabled

  I have a acer aspire 5820T with a broadcom 43225 wireless card. I previously used ubuntu 10.10 and the wireless worked straight away, but when I updated to 11.04 the wireless stopped working. I have managed to get the wireless hardware to switch on for a couple of seconds before turning off (When you turn the wireless on using the manual switch the wireless light stays on for a couple of seconds and in the drop down connections menu the information under wireless networks changes from 'device not ready' to 'Disconnected' but shows no wireless networks despite there being one). So far I have tried installing an additional driver, and also disabling the additional driver and installing b43-fwcutter and firmware b43 installer. There may have been other things that I've found in searches that i've tried but unfortunately I can't remember them. Any help would be appreciated.

  E-Business Suite 11.5.10 Sustaining Support Exception & 12.1 Extended Support Now to Dec. 2018 [ID 1495337.1] As part of Oracle’s continued commitment to our customers, we will be providing an exception for the first 13 months of Sustaining Support on Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11.5.10 (11i10), valid from December 1, 2013 – December 31, 2014. This exception support will be comprised of three components: (1) new fixes for Severity 1 production issues, (2) United States Form 1099 2013 year-end updates, and (3) payroll regulatory updates for the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia for fiscal years ending in 2014.  In addition, the Extended Support period for E-Business Suite Release 12.1 has been extended through December, 2018. Customers with an active Oracle Premier Support for Software contract will automatically be entitled to Extended Support deliverables for E-Business Suite 12.1. Please refer to the Lifetime Support section of oracle.com for further information regarding Oracle's Lifetime Support Policy for Applications. • How to control fan speed and temperatures on Asus A8Js laptop?

  I have tried installing asusfan and lm-sensors but I'm unable to control my fans to cool my laptop down sufficiently. Currently it overheats at about 100 degrees celsius and my sensors output somehow does not have any fan information on it: jackson@OLYMPIA:~$ sensors acpitz-virtual-0 Adapter: Virtual device temp1: +69.0°C (crit = +110.0°C) coretemp-isa-0000 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 0: +66.0°C (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) coretemp-isa-0001 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 1: +66.0°C (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) I have checked my bios and there isn't any fan settings there. I can consistently overheat just by converting a video via Handbrake. I have ubuntu-desktop installed for a GUI. Is there a way for me to control my fans to start spinning before it reaches a critical temperature and kills itself?

  The thing is that I have 3 partitions on my computer. /dev/sda1 Type: ntfs (size 104MB; 35MB in use) [This is Windows Loader] /dev/sda2 Type: ntfs (size 144598MB; 64536MB in use) [Here I want to install UBUNTU] /dev/sda3 Type: ntfs (size 105353MB; 20227MB in use) [This my backup partition I don't wan't to delete anything from here, I have all my necessary information] So the problem is when I select "Device for boot loader installation" "/dev/sda2" Pops out: "No root file system is defined. Please correct this from the partitioning menu." How can I resolve this? :)
