    Does anyone know a cross-browser CSS/Javascript technique to display a long html table such that the column headers stay fixed on-screen and do not scroll with the table body. Think of the "freeze panes" effect in excel. I want to be able to scroll through the contents of the table, but to always be able to see the column headers at the top.

    Hello, I'm a bit confused about Javascript undefined & null. Firstly what does if (!testvar) actually do? Does it test for undefined and null or just undefined? Secondly, once a variable is defined can I clear it back to undefined (therefore deleting the variable).     Hi Folks, I have a scenario in which I have 2 Submit Buttons in a form for going back and forward. Both the buttons have different JavaScript associated with it. It is working great if we press these buttons to navigate. But when in Google Chrome, when someone press enter on any of the text box within the Form it does not calls the onClick of the button.     I'm trying to write a script in Greasemonkey that will replace a link's target with something else, but with my limited Javascript knowledge I don't really know how to do this. Basically I'm trying to find all links containing a certain string of characters (ex: //a[contains(@href, 'xx')] ), and either replace them with another link, or append something to them (replacing 'abc123.com' with 'zyx987.com' or 'abc123.com' with 'abc123.com/folder'). If you could point me on the right path I'd greatly appreciate it.

I want to load a page and display tags under a video and then when a user adds a new tag by entering it into text box to add it to the database and then refresh the part of the page which shows these tags and include the new one which has just been added all without the page being reloaded.     By default, when you print a web page, the page title and and URL are printed at the top of the page, and likewise the date and time are printed at the bottom. It is possible to remove this additional as you are printing through the PAGE SETUP menu (under FILE in Internet Exp) Does anyone know of a way of doing this via CSS or javascript?

    I think the question is clear enough, but I'd like to clarify it because it's subjective at some point and I don't want it closed. I want to see some short jQuery examples with awesome results (either from the user or from the programmer perspective), that would not be that easy using straight javascript without any library. I find this question useful to be aware how using jQuery simplifies your js code.
