  • iPhoto printing PDFs sideways

    - by Marcelo Cantos
When I print to PDF from iPhoto (7.1.5), my scans (which are all portrait) all end up sideways in the PDF file. I've searched high and low for some setting that will alter this. The only one that I could find that would plausibly affect this is the Layout menu item in the Print customisation view, but this has no effect. Even rotating the images doesn't change it. Why is iPhoto printing my PDFs sideways, and how do I get it to stop?

  • How may I monitor all gestures of the entire system

    - by Jiulong Zhao
I can make a view to accept touch event and receive detailed gesture event like this: [self setAcceptsTouchEvents:YES]; // NSSet *touches = [event touchesMatchingPhase:NSTouchPhaseBegan inView:self]; I can also receive global event by crate a monitor in this way: NSUInteger eventMasks = NSEventTypeBeginGesture | NSEventTypeEndGesture | NSEventMaskGesture; [NSEvent addGlobalMonitorForEventsMatchingMask:eventMasks handler:^(NSEvent *theevent) {//do something}]; But I can NOT get the detailed event from monitor by -touchesMatchingPhase How may I monitor all gestures of the entire system.

  • Webserver Responses Hanging

    - by drscroogemcduck
From some networks requesting certain images on our webserver is very flakey. I've looked at tcpdumps on both sides and the server sends back part of the file and the client ACKs the TCP packet but the server never receives the ACK. Is there any way create multiple guides on the fly in Photoshop in an automated fashion? For example I want to create horizontal guides every 18px all the way down my document(which is 1000px tall). I started by going to View - New Guide, then typed in 18px, then repeated and typed in 36px, and so forth. Is there an easier way?

Hi, When I burn my files to a DVD using the Windows 7 drag and drop I can't actually see my files. Windows doesn't seem to finsih the DVD, even though I have followed the steps to do this. When I put the dvd in my XP machine it can see the files - so I know they are definatley being written correctly. Why can't I seem to finsh the DVD correctly? Is there some view I have set to see files already written? Thanks

  • Track PC usage (keys pressed, hours used etc)

    - by yes123
I heard once there was a software that could log your activity (form a developer point of view) like: How many key did you press How many hours you moved the mouse This software had cloud saving so you could install and use on all your pc/notebook. It would be cool if by 5 years I could know how many lines of code/text I have wrote or how many time I have worked Please note I don't want a keylogger (I just want to know my activity over time)

  • Looking for a file-system overlay using LD_PRELOAD

    - by ki.lya.online.fr
Hi, I'm looking for a shared library that is to be loaded using LD_PRELOAD that would modify the view of the filesystem to the client program. Ideally, I'd like to choose the filesystem root (or use / as root) and to overlay the filesystem by renaming filenames. For example, I might want to tell my program to look for /usr/lib/* in /usr/lib32/* instead. Do you know of such a program ? Thanks.

But I don't have the ribbon. I have the old menu and toolbar structure. How do I switch to the ribbon view?

  • Nagios simple dashboard

    - by Thomas
I am looking for a dead simple dashboard for Nagios so our IT team can view the status of our services. In an old version of what's up gold, it was a nice dashboard with different rectangular shape being red, yellow or green depending on the status of the service and could be display easily on a screen. Is there some copycat dashboard for nagios ? any better recommendation ? I want something you can see from your desk 15meters away: red or green, no need for details.

  • How can I change the apache config for a virtual host, from the shell on a whm/cpanel system?

    - by Chiggsy
I wanted to change the setting for a virtual host in a hurry I knew how to "just do it" but I'm not very familiar with the restrictions of the cpanel system. I read the theory of the config system and regardless of my feelings on the matter I understand where they are coming from. However in that world view, there must be a way to interact with the system from a command line interface, not just for httpd.conf but for the virtual host containers as well EDIT: reworded this question a bit to show I was talking about a virtual host container.

  • Are there webcam with their own IP address?

    - by Mawg
I am looking for a small, rugged web-cam, which can be hand-held or perhaps mountable. It must have its own IP address so that anyone can view its video stream from a web browser. I would prefer 2 way voice communication too. Encryption of data is nice, as is compression (H.264). Maybe also remote control, like causing it to zoom from the browser. Does anyone have any suggestions, even suggestions of somewhere else to look?
