  I have a program that generates a .shp file, and exports this as a kml file. I would like to be able to display my output using the standard google map 'map' style (gray background, yellow streets, etc) in google earth, or in the google earth api. The running program originates as a root-owned Python process, which then setuids/setgids itself as a regular user. As far as I know, at this point, any limits set in /etc/security/limits.conf do not apply; the setuid-ed process may now fork bomb. Any ideas how to prevent this?

  I can't find XamlPad anywhere after I installed .NET 4.0 / Visual Studio 2010 and Windows 7 SDK - v7.1. I tried searching C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.1\bin and did a dir /s xamlpad.exe to see if the Windows Index service didn't get to that folder yet. And it's not under Start Menu - All Programs - Windows SDK v7.1 -- Tools. Where has it gone? Did MS deprecate it? Thanks

  I use pthreads_attr_getthreadsizes() to get default stack size of one thread, 8MB on my machine. But when I create 8 threads and allocate a very large stack size to them, say hundreds of MB, the program crash. So, I guess, shall ("Number of threads" x "stack size of per thread") shall less than a value(virtual memory size)?

  I recently reinstalled my development machine and went from 32 bit Windows Vista to 64 bit Windows 7. I'm running VS2008. Some of my .NET applications still use J#, which now causes problems. The program still runs, but when I want to deploy it (I'm using a setup project to create a .msi), I get this error: "Visual Studio registry capture utility has encountered a problem" How can I fix this? This error does not occur with other programs (those written purely in C#).
