  • Macports Apache not starting at Mac OS X snow leopard boot [closed]

    I've done the launchctl load command, the symlinks point to my /opt/local/etc/LaunchDaemeons/org.macports.apache2/org.macports.apache2.plist, but it never starts. I can start it manually, works fine after that. Just won't load on startup. My server is named in my /opt/local/apache2/conf/httd.conf, I had read that sometimes makes a difference. I've done the launchctl unload and load trick, all with no results. I'm out of ideas.

    I noticed that there is a command - rpm - under Cygwin 1.7. Does that mean RPM packages can be installed into Cygwin? I tried to install ncbi-blast-2.2.26+-3.i686.rpm (see: ftp://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/blast/executables/blast+/LATEST/ ) into Cygwin 1.7.13 with the command "install -i ncbi-blast-2.2.26+-3.i686.rpm". However, error message appeared as below. I tried to search for the missing libs using the setup.exe of Cygwin. It seems that some of them were not present, such as libc.so.6, libdl.so.2, libm.so.6, libnsl.so.1, and libz.so.1. Where can I get these libs?   • mplayer audio desync

    I have and avi file and an ac3 file that contains an alternate audio stream. I run mplayer like: mplayer -audiofile foo.ac3 bar.avi mplayer takes the audio stream from the ac3 file as expected, but when I try to scroll the video using arrows or pgup/pgdown keys, the audio gets desynced: mplayer just starts playing the audio stream from the beginning. Do I have to pass any additional command line arguments in order to make it scroll properly without desyncing audio?

    Hi all, I have a Windows 7 machine that I have run Sysprep on using the following command Sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:c:\sysprep.xml When the PC shutsdown I upload it to my Windows Deployment Server (2008 R2), when I turn the PC back on the unattended install works fine, if I download the image from the deployment server it ignores the unattended install and I get prompted for all the settings.     I'm trying to write a shell script over ssh via a bash prompt. The shell, however, insists on interpreting any variable I want to write instead of writing it directly to file. For example, cat <<EOF >checkup.sh\n'$command'EOF is simply written as '' to file. How do I get $command written instead? I've tried every practical method of escaping I can think of. If it changes anything, I'm doing it over PHP using phpseclib.

    I'm getting the message: "500 5.3.3 Unrecognized command" from Exchange server and seeing in the Exchange Server logs that it's tarpitting my smtp sender despite the fact that: I added a Receive Connector for my ip that allows connection, uses "Externally Secure" I ran the commands (with the actual server name): CODE: Set-ReceiveConnector "MyTrusted connector (Servername)" -MaxAcknowledgementDelay 0 Set-ReceiveConnector "MyTrusted connector (Servername)" -TarpitInterval 0 Despite all that, it STILL fails! If that is the cause, probably switching it off that to fastcgi/fcgid might resolve it... but still, I want to see if something else might be causing it to do this.

    So i moved to a new server and i want to install gnome desktop environment to access my server via vnc viewer. But, i don't remember how i managed to install last time, so i tried yum groupinstall "GNOME Desktop Environment" command and server said Warning: Group GNOME Desktop Environment does not exist. No packages in any requested group available to install or update It's a brand new server so i didn't add any repos or else yet It's a centos 5.5 server ...
