  This question already has an answer here: Loopback to forwarded Public IP address from local network - Hairpin NAT 6 answers I have a public facing website for a doctor's office for accessing the medical record. I'm using SSL. The server is at the doctor's office. When I access the website on the same network as the server I want the DNS to point to the local IP address. I don't want to do a HTTP redirect to the local ip because of the scary SSL warning. What's the recommended way of doing this?

  Data export from DataGrid to Excel is very common task, and it can be solved with different ways, and chosen way depend on kind of app which you are design. If you are developing app for enterprise, and it will be installed on several computes, then you can to advance a claim (system requirements) with which your app will be work for client. Or customer will advance system requirements on which your app should work. In this case you can use COM for export (use infrastructure of Excel or OpenOffice). This approach will give you much more flexibility and give you possibility to use all features of Excel app. About this approach I’ll speak below. Other way – your app is for personal use, it can be installed on any home computer, in this case it is not good to ask user to install MS Office or OpenOffice just for using your app. In this way you can use foreign tools for export, or export to xml/html format which MS Office can read (this approach used by JIRA). • In 12.04: Failed to load session 'ubuntu' [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: There's an issue with an Alpha/Beta Release of Ubuntu, what should I do? I'm using 12.04 beta. Today I was prompted to install some updates, which I did, followed by a reboot. On reboot, X starts, but all I see is a single dialog window in the middle of the screen with the text: Failed to load session 'ubuntu' I don't even see the mouse, or the login screen, just this 1 line of text. When I hit CTRL+ALT+F1 to run dist-upgrade from a command prompt, I get this: The following packages have been kept back: libgnome-desktop-3-2 So to see why it was kept back, I tried the following: $ sudo apt-get install libgnome-desktop-3-2 ... The following packages have unmet dependencies: libgnome-desktop-3-2 : Depends: gnome-desktop3-data (= 3.3.92-0ubuntu1) but 3.3.91-0ubuntu2 is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. Anyone else seeing this, or have an idea how to fix it? If you're going to close it as a duplicate, can you please link to the duplicate question?

  I spent close to three weeks on the road giving talks at Tech-Ed Europe (Berlin), PDC (Los Angeles), and the Los Angeles Code Camp (Los Angeles). • Introducing SSIS Reporting Pack for SQL Server code-named Denali

  In recent blog posts I have introduced the new SSIS Catalog that is forthcoming in SQL Server Code-named Denali: What's new in SSIS in Denali Introduction to SSIS Projects in Denali Parameters in SSIS In Denali SSIS Server, Catalogs, Environments and Environment Variables in SSIS in Denali The SSIS Catalog is responsible for executing SSIS packages and also for capturing the metadata from those executions. However, at the time of writing there is no mechanism provided to view analyse and drill into that metadata and that is the reason that I am, in this blog post, introducing a suite of SSIS Catalog reports called the SSIS Reporting Pack which you can download from my SkyDrive at http://cid-550f681dad532637.office.live.com/self.aspx/Public/SSIS%20Reporting%20Pack/SSISReportingPack%20v0.1.zip. • VSTO is Free But Aspose is Speed

  I’ve taken over the completion, deployment, and maintenance of an ASP.NET Web site that generates Office documents using VSTO. VSTO’s a decent concept and works fine for small-scale scenarios like a desktop app or small intranet. However, with multiple simultaneous requests via ASP.NET, we found the Web server performance suffered badly. To spread out the server’s workload, I implemented MSMQ task queuing via a WCF Windows service.  That helped a lot. IIS didn’t drag with only one VSTO/Office instance running. But I  still found it taking too long to produce a single report. A nicely formatted VSTO Excel document was taking 45 minutes.  (The client  didn’t know any better and therefore considered 45 minutes tolerable.) On my own time, I pulled out an old copy of Aspose.Total for .NET. Within an hour, I had converted the VSTO Excel C# code to Aspose Cells code. The improvement was astonishing: Instead of the 45-minutes, the report took under a minute! I’ve pasted the client’s exact chat response after he tried the speedy Aspose version: “WWWWWOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Microsoft’s VSTO is a free product while the Aspose components cost $$$.  Certainly, it can be a tough call when budgets are tight. If you’re trying to convince the client to shell out for something more suitable for the application, get an eval version of Aspose.Total and offer a direct comparison demo. • Are You Using Windows Live Mesh?

  Most of the time, I’m the guy who authors the show notes for the Herding Code Podcast.  The workflow is relatively straight-forward: Jon shares the pre-production audio with me, I compete my write up and then ship the notes back to Jon for publishing with the edited audio.  All file sharing is all done with shared folders in the Windows Live Mesh. The director of my kid’s preschool was looking for a way to access her work computer from her home office.  VPN connection?  Remote desktop?  FTP?  Nope. I installed Windows Live Mesh in a matter of minutes, synchronized a number of folders and she was off and running.  (The neat thing is she’s running a PC in the office and a Mac at home.) I was using Dropbox before discovering Mesh. Dropbox is still very cool but I’m in and out of Mesh enough that it’s taken over.  Actually I still have a Dropbox folder – it’s just being synched by Mesh now. • intermittent DNS problems

  How would I go about tracking this issue down? One of my websites has been up for years without issue. We're using Godaddy's nameservers for our domain. Lately in the past two weeks, I've noticed that once from home on my Cox cable connection, I could not connect to the site... it said the domain could not be resolved. I checked downforeveryoneorjustme.com, and it said it was fine. The "outage" lasted maybe five minutes (through a reboot too, and I'm on a mac FWIW) and then it started working again. Then it happened again this week, but from our office on a different Cox connection. Then it happened again from the office, but for a different domain. I called Cox during one outage, and the tech there could resolve the domain without a problem. When these outages are occurring, I can issue "host mydomain.com" and get "domain not found", but using "host mydomain.com 8.8.8.8" will resolve normally. Where do I start? We're getting reports now that our customers are experiencing it too.

• iStack for iPad

  The below image is the current, and hopefully final, look of the front screen, the app will remember which stack site you have chosen so the user will only see this screen the first time, but they can always go back and change it. The red bar is only there when a new site is added (the StackOverflow is just a test as no site has been added since I implemented this) and can be gotten rid of by tapping the X on the right side (which isn't in the screenshot). Each column now has an edit button where the sites can be rearranged and moved from favourites to non favourites and this is persistent between app launches, moving a site in one column moves it in all of them. I've removed site icons in order to put them in properly so they load lazily and theres no UI freezing. Printing Functionality all implemented and working, thanks to systempuntoout's stackprinter.com works with AirPrint, which means this app will be iOS 4.2 minimum. Current features: 3 columns Email link to question, open in safari and copy link actions History for both questions and sites visited In app notification (red bar at the top) when a new site makes it into beta. StackPrinter in the app, without needing safari, and AirPrint functionality. Permalink Formatting tables in a document programmatically can be a very complex task.  This is the major reason which we start our document generation projects with templates instead of building components in a document by hand. Borders are on aspect of a table that you may want to fomat.  Borders are used to make certain content in a table stand out.  If you need to conditionally set and remove borders there is something that you need to be aware of.  Even in OOXML you have the concepts of styles, inheriting styles and overriding styles. When Word defines a table it will reference a global style such as “TableGrid”.  This style will include the borders for the table.  Specifically the InsideHorizontalBorder and InsideVerticalBorder define the borders for the cells.  These can be overridden by the TableCellBorders collection of a particular cell.  Adding a double right border on a cell is as easy as the couple of lines of code below. wordprocessing.TableCellBorders borders = new wordprocessing.TableCellBorders(); borders.RightBorder = new RightBorder(){Val = BorderValues.Double, Color = "000000", ThemeColor = ThemeColorValues.Text1, Size = (UInt32Value)4U, Space = (UInt32Value)0U }; cell.TableCellProperties.Append(borders); If I want to revert back to the table’s style for cell borders I simply need to remove all children from the TableCellBorders collection.  It is like removing a class identifier from a TD tag in HTML.  The style in the parent object takes back over. • Migrating a Windows Server to Ubuntu Server to provide Samba, AFP and Roaming Profiles

  I'm replacing our old Windows XP Pro office server with a HP Microserver running Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS. I'm not a Linux expert but I can find my way around a terminal prompt, I'm a Mac user by choice. The office use a mix of Windows XP Pro machines and OSX Lion laptops. I included Samba during installation, and I'm planning on using Netatalk for the AFP and Bonjour sharing. I'd quite like to have samba make the server appear in 'My network places' on the Windows machines the way Bonjour makes it appear in finder on the Macs, if this is possible? I want to get to a point so that a user logging into Windows, gets connected to the Ubuntu server (do they need an Ubuntu user account?) which get them their shares and their Windows user profile (though a standard profile across users would do). The upshot is to make centralised control of user accounts (e.g. If a person leaves, killing their account on the server stops their Windows logon and ability to access Samba shares) and to ensure files aren't stored on the individual machines for backup/security purposes. I want to make this as simple as possible, so don't want to have loads of stuff I don't need, I just can't figure out: What I need at the server end: - will Samba be enough (already installed as part of initial installation), or will I need to cock around with LDAP (and how does this interact with Samba) - For someone of moderate Linux competence like me, is there a package that offers easy admin of user accounts, e.g. a GUI like phpLDAPadmin (if LDAP is necessary) How to configure the XP machines: - do I need to have the XP machines set up as a domain controller (I've no idea, really) - roaming profiles looks to offer the feature of putting the user's files on the server rather than the machine itself along with a profile that follows the user from machine to machine. Syncing Mac user's home folders with the server This is less of a concern because I can set up Time Machine if it comes to it, but I'd appreciate any recommendations of what approach I should take having the Mac home folders synced to the server.

• My New Job

  Last year I started a new job with a logistics company in the North of England, where I was responsible for the management, design and development of IT Integration strategies, architectures and solutions using BizTalk Server 2009.  This included the design and implementation of the BizTalk Server 2009 infrastructure, the definition of development standards, mentoring a fellow developer in the ways of BizTalk and migrating a number of existing solutions from Softshare over to BizTalk 2009. Unfortunately I then realised that, following this initial set up, there didn't actually seem to be that much BizTalk work for me to get stuck into and reluctantly I have now moved on from this role to a very similar role with the country's largest office supplies company.  Based in Sheffield, we distribute office supplies on a UK wide basis and computer supplies across Europe. The situation here is slightly different than when I first joined my previous employer.  Whereas that was a green field installation with no previous BizTalk solutions in place, my new employer currently has a number of live BizTalk 2000 (!) and BizTalk 2006 solutions in place.  Unfortunately the infrastructure around these is less than ideal; with no clear distinction between development and test environments and no source control what so ever! We are currently building a proposal for a new BizTalk Server 2010 implementation, where I am hopeful of being able to implement fully independent development, test and pseudo-live environments, alongside an enterprise level live installation.  We should also be introducing Team Foundation Server to the development process, thereby giving us some much needed source control capabilities. Following this is likely to be a period of migration for the existing BizTalk Solutions, along with the onward development of new projects and initiatives - I'm hoping to be a busy man for the forseeable future :o)

  many developer thing to adopt IIS express aka Webmatrix to use inside visual studio. that the feature of Visual studio service pack 1. the visual studio 2010 sp1 allow developer to use webmatrix inside the visual studio. the developer can choose one of Visual studio development server or Webmatrix. the visual studio service pack 1 launch today but i am not recommended them because it’s in beta. if you use them then you may be in a big trouble because beta’s fundamental we all know. don’t be fool by installing them because they not tell you about both thing pros and cons. the stable version of visual studio is Visual studio who can be obtained from Microsoft download center not service pack 1. so beware to use unstable version. this is not browser then we have 3 option 1. chrome 2. firefox  3. Microsoft internet explorer [fool] because this is IDE and we have only one that can be problem if they work not well. the service pack 1 always changes your installation for visual studio Express edition [tool such as VWD or VCS express] if you already have them  i means service pack 1 then share your experience with us! if not that don’t look on Microsoft website blogs because they never tell you pros and cons of their software.
