  Here is a code snippet from DirectShowNet library, used to open a video file: this.graphBuilder = (IGraphBuilder) new FilterGraph(); // Have the graph builder construct its the appropriate graph automatically hr = this.graphBuilder.RenderFile(filename, null); but the RenderFile method fails. At the same time, Windows Media Player opens the same file nicely. What can be the problem. I got the same behavior without DirectShowNet, but using native C++ code...

Trac can do this, but I was hoping there was an easy-to-use library available to accomplish the task, rather than trolling through the Trac codebase.   I once found a nifty little library that used JNI to allow java applications on Windows to get the locations of various "special" directories on windows. I can't for the life of me find it again... In particular, I need to get the location of the "All Users" (shared) "Application Data" directory. So, anyone have a bullet proof way in Java to locate the "All Users" "Application Data" folder? My problem is that in the main php.ini I have included an extra path for an external library, but in the cli version this is not present, and so I have a path inclusion error. thanks

  I want to test the profile usage of an important library-class of my rails-project. It uses ActiveRecord so I need all rails dependencies to profile it. As far as I know, I need a patched ruby (rubygc) so script/profile and script/benchmark can track memory usage. I tried to follow this official guide to patch the source code of ruby 1.8.6 (p399) and 1.8.7 (p248), but both fail with the following message: patching file gc.c Hunk #2 succeeded at 50 with fuzz 2 (offset 2 lines).
