  • Enable FTP Publishing on IIS7?

    I've followed the steps in http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/303/adding-ftp-to-a-web-site/ However, when I get to the part where it says to click "add ftp publishing to website", the option is not visible in the IIS management console. I've verified that the "FTP Publishing Service" is installed in the server manager, and I can see it running in the services applet and via netstat -a. Suggestions?

  • Can't get Monit to work

    I am trying to configure Monit on my local machine to get a taste at how it works, but I have some issues. What I am trying to do is to get any evidence that Monit is up and running correctly and is actually monitoring something. So my /etc/monit/monitrc looks like set daemon 60 set logfile /var/log/monit.log set idfile /var/lib/monit/id set statefile /var/lib/monit/state set eventqueue basedir /var/lib/monit/events slots 100 set httpd port 2812 and allow username:password check process apache2 with pidfile /usr/local/apache/logs/apache2.pid start program = "/etc/init.d/apache2 start" stop program = "/etc/init.d/apache2 stop" if failed port 6543 protocol http then exec "/usr/bin/touch /tmp/monit" If I understand correctly, since apache does not listen on port 6543 (it is just a random number) I should get an error, and as a consequence the file /tmp/monit should be created. So I start monit by sudo service monit start sudo monit monitor apache2 Unfortunately no such file is created. Instead the web console shows an error for apache - execution failed. The log says 'apache2' failed to start. What am I doing wrong? EDIT As suggested in the comments, I ran monit in verbose mode, by monit -vv monitor apache2 (the exact command suggested in the comments failed). The question is: is the priority shown in the Task-Manager always the real priority? Or can there be a difference? Edit: With the installation of the service pack 3 of WinXP, it shows the expected priority in the task manager.

  • OSX's built-in VNC server disconnects me randomly, but frequently

    I've been using OSX's VNC service to connect remotely from a Windows XP box, via TightVNC. Everything seems to work normally, except that frequently - anywhere from ten seconds to ten minutes - the connection locks up entirely, without any sort of error message. The only solution is to reconnect and wait for it to lock up again. How can this be fixed permanently?

As in the previous versions, the passwords were not encrypted, then if i had to design some tools to manage the hosting accounts, i just picked up the cleartext passwords from the Database. but as now the passwords are encrypted, is there any way i can decrypt the passwords? through API or any other way so that i can integrate my php based hosting management with plesk 11?

  • BES 5.0 SSL Certificate

    I have recently installed BES 5.0 on a Hyper-V (i know it's not officially supported) 64-bit Server 2008 box with a remote SQL 2005 database. I successfully installed and was able to access the Blackberry Administration Service but was getting untrusted certificate errors so I followed the documentation for importing CA and BAS certificates with the Java keytool. They imported successfully but now the BAS webpage shows a "page cannot be displayed" error. TSupport is no help at all. Any ideas?

  • Cant access a remote server due mistake by setting firewall rule

    I need help due a my silly mistake! So for long time i have a dedicate server hosted by register.it Usually i access remotly to this server (Windows 2008 server) by Terminal Server. Today i wanted to block one site that continually send request to my server. So i was adding a new rule in the firewall (the native firewall on windows 2008 server), as i did many time, but this time, probably i was sleeping with my brain i add a general rules that stop everything! So i cant access to the server anymore, as no any users can browse the sites, nothing is working because this rule block everything. I know that is a silly mistake, no need to tell me :) so please what i can do ? The only 1 thing that my provider let me is reboot the server by his control panel, but this not help me in any way because the firewall block me again. i have administrator username and password, so what i really can do ? there are some trick some tecnique, some expert guru that can help me in this very bad situation ?   • Ubuntu 12.10 Clock is wrong

    I have an issue with Ubuntu Quantal, as it shows the wrong time. It is completely messy, the right time from time.is now is 09.43 and my clock shows 17.48. I am using ntp service and I already checked the timezone and it is correct. I also checked the hardware clock through sudo hwclock --showsudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata and this is right too. I also tried sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata but with bad luck. What else can I try?     I have a windows 7,32 bit laptop.   • Lync server 2010 Active Directory Preparation with a Windows Server 2003 DC

    I'm trying to install Lync server 2010 but i'm stuck for a while now with the "Active Directory Preparation" part of the Lync server 2010 installation. The "Prepare Schema" fails with the following error: "Step 1: Prepare Schema Run once per deployment. Extends the schema for Lync Server. Not Available: Failure occurred while attempting to check the schema state. Please ensure Active Directory is reachable." screenshot: https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=CB15F1A932B364BE&id=CB15F1A932B364BE%211742 The situation: 1 server with Windows Server 2003 (x86), which is the only Domain Controller (DC) 1 server with Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64) where Lync should be installed. First I have found that the DFL/FFL were not correct: On the DC (server2003) I have changed the Domain Functional Level to Windows Server 2003 and also the Forest Functional Level to Windows Server 2003. If I check these settings on the Server2008 with Active Directory Domains and Trusts, I see indeed that the DFL and FFL are being set to Windows Server 2003. (Windows Server 2003 is the minimum required for Lync server 2010) I tried the Lync AD Preparation again but still got the same message: https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=CB15F1A932B364BE&id=CB15F1A932B364BE%211742 I'm logged in on the Server2008 and Server2003 with the domain administrator account. If I check "Active Directory Users and Computers" and go to the directory Users and watch the properties from the Administrator User then it is also a Member of: Domain Admins Domain Users Enterprise Admins Schema Admins Group Policy Creator Owners The firewall on the server2008 is turned off, still nog working So now my question is: what should I do to make the Lync setup (Active Directory Preparation) work? (I would appreciate clear step-by-step suggestions to check.) Thanks in advance.     LS, I am using IIS7 with PHP (FastCGI). I set up the upload_tmp_dir to "X:\Temp" instead of leaving it empty, but it's still using "C:\Windows\Temp" for some reason.
