    I'm trying to get the MIME type of an <input type="file" /> element using Perl, but without actually examining the contents of the file itself, In other words, just using the HTTP headers. I have only been able to get the "multipart/form-type" Content-Type value, but my understanding is that each element will get its own MIME Type? How can I see the sub-MIME types using Perl?

    Hello, i own a website where users can vote/rate things and i want to improve the poor inputbox (from 1 to 10) to improve visual rendering. I was thinking of a bar, which have 10 ' | ' you can move the cursor from one to ten (it doesn't have to be AJAX because the rating is only added at the end of the form) I'm sure you already seend this king of thing but i actually can't find any plugin of it.     I have data in the form of four columns. The first three columns represent time, value1, value 2. The fourth column is binary, all 0's or 1's. Is there a way to tell excel to delete time, value1 and value 2, when the corresponding binary value in column four is 0? I know this is a lot easier in C++ or matlab, but for reasons beyond my control, I must do it in excel.

    SO Question: jQuery Validate - require at least one field in a group to be filled I uses the sample rule from the above link and it works, but the problem was it overrides the fields that going to be validated it jumps directly to the group validation, when validates a form the messages in my error container only contains error for the group fields.

  • Is it bad to use a model directly from a view in codeigniter?

    I know normally the data is passed thru to the view with the controller. however, currently in my view I load my model ($this-load-model('Db_model');) so i can use it in a loop to retrieve a users profile picture path from a array of IDs that is passed from controller. Will loading the db model in the view to accomplish this make my site more vulnerable or bad form? To me it seems to be outside of MVC concept but its working atm. thanks

  • Does anyone see any downsides of doing the following to prevent CSRF?

    I'm wondering if the following method will completely prevent CSRF, and be compatible with all users. Here it is: In the form just include an extra parameter that is: encrypted(user's userID + request time). Server-side just decrypt and make sure it's the right userID and the request time was reasonably recent. Aside from someone sniffing the user's traffic, is this completely secure? Are there any downsides?

    I am using the jQuery sortable() feature to re-order a list of items. After an item is drug to a new location, I kick off an AJAX form post to the server to save the new order. How can I undo the sort (e.g. return the drug item to its original position in the list) if I receive an error message from the server? Basically, I only want the re-order to "stick" if the server confirms that the changes were saved.

    I have a windows form with a listview control. I set the MultiSelect property to true and I added a selected_index changed event. I get the event fired when I click the same index as the current selected index. My expectation is that I will not get the event fired. The strange thing is that the event fired 1 second after I click the index. I appreciate for any reply to explain why this is happening.
