• PHP CLI version issue

  I am trying to use Zend Tool on my media temple Grid Server account. The problem is that the installed CLI version of PHP is 4.4.8 and Zend Framework needs PHP5. On an account basis its possible to choose PHP 4 or 5 but not so for CLI. Its possible to globally select to use PHP5 by using the extension .php5 but in the case of Zend Tool which is called by a shell script zf.sh i'm not sure what options i have. PHP5 is on the server at /usr/bin/php5 and someone at MT has suggested creating an alias so php=/usr/bin/php5 but i'm not sure that will work. Any ideas?

• svn merge - moved repository to a different server, and now getting 'has different repository root'

  This is kind of similar to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1601021/subversion-merge-has-different-repository-root-than - but appears to be a very different cause (especially as the answer for that question didn't resolve my problem). A while back, we swapped out the server where our SVN repositories are located - but we've been using an alias so that the old server name points to the new server. I've been getting in the habit where I will use the new server name wherever I checkout new working copies - but we having made changes to most of the current working copies as they are live websites. Until now, this hasn't been a problem - except that this morning I merged in some changes from my development branch to a working copy I have of the release version and I got the message "file has different repository root" and the merge stops dead. I know this is because I'm using the new server name when the development branch was updated via the old server name - but is there a simple way to fix this? Or if not a simple way - is there a well-documented way to fix this?

• Bourne Script: Redirect success messages but NOT error messages

  This command: keytool -import -file "$serverPath/$serverCer" -alias "$clientTrustedCerAlias" -keystore "$clientPath/$clientKeystore" -storepass "$serverPassword" -noprompt Will when it runs successfully outputs: Certificate was added to keystore I tried redirecting the stdard out with: keytool ... > /dev/null But it is still printing. It appears that the message is being output into standard error. Since when I do this it is not displayed: keytool ... > /dev/null 2>&1 However this is not what I am wanting to do. I would like error messages to be output normally but I do not want "success" messages to be output to the command line. Any ideas? Whatever happened to unix convention: "If it works do not output anything".

• add methods in subclasses within the super class constructor

  I want to add methods (more specifically: method aliases) automatically to Python subclasses. If the subclass defines a method named 'get' I want to add a method alias 'GET' to the dictionary of the subclass. To not repeat myself I'd like to define this modifation routine in the base class. But if I check in the base class init method, there is no such method, since it is defined in the subclass. It will become more clear with some source code: class Base: def __init__(self): if hasattr(self, "get"): setattr(self, "GET", self.get) class Sub(Base): def get(): pass print(dir(Sub)) Output: ['__doc__', '__init__', '__module__', 'get'] It should also contain 'GET'. Is there a way to do it within the base class?

• Oracle SqlPlus Command Line: There's a way to concatenate set options?

  Heya, I need to set up some SET options in Oracle SQLplus command line program each time I use it, such as SET HEADING OFF and the likes to beautify my results. I found that I always have to input each line separately so Set different options and this is becoming annoying since I need to access it many times a day. I found that there's no way to separate different SET commands with semicolumns because it doesn't accept it: SET HEADING OFF; SET LINESIZE 100; returns an error A solution could be adding them to a control script and create a shell alias, but I know control scripts execute and then exit and don't return you control over the command line. So, anybody knows another solution? Or am I missing something?

AliasID determines a specific alias to a word. So above 'argh' and 'ugh' are aliases to each other.   I'm using the Mate framework for Flex and communicating with a server running C#. I'm having trouble mapping C# classes to ActopnScript classes. I've got it working fine for simple classes and built in datatypes. If I have a C# method in my API that returns a API.Foo.Result what name do I use for my RemoteClass alias? Do I need to make a separate ActionScript class for each variation of the API.Foo.Result? How do I call C# method that takes a class as a parameter? Making an ActionScript class with members with the same names doesn't seem to work. What is the best way to handle C# classes that contain arrays of objects? The seem to get converted to ArrayCollections of Object. Is there a way to get them converted to an ArrayCollection of my specific class?

• Apache is running but there is no page displayed

  I am on a Mac OSX and I am using the built in PHP and Apache2. I have been setting up MySQL and finally when I got MySQL working my local site won't display. Do note that I did have the web server running and delivering PHP enabled pages, just no database connection. But my question is not about MySQL. I have changed various settings in the 'http.conf' file, and I have the line: '127.0.0.1 localhost' in my hosts file. I also have other alias' pointing to 127.0.0.1. I have checked everything I could about Apache and I have made sure that any message in the error_log is ok. I currently have my errorLevel set to debug, so I get all the messages. At this point (HOURS of self fixing) I think I need help. What can I provide for someone to figure this out with me. Thanks.

• Using sphinx to create context sensitive html help

  Hi all, I am currently using AsciiDoc (http://www.methods.co.nz/asciidoc/) for documenting my software projects because it supports pdf and html help generation. I am currently running it through cygwin so that the a2x tool chain functions properly. This works well for me but is a pain to setup on other windows computers. I have been looking for alternative methods and recently revisited Sphinx. Noticing that it now produces html help files I gave it a try and it seems to work well in the small tests I performed. My question is, is there a way to specify map id's for context sensitive help in the text so that my windows programs can call the proper help api and the file is launched and opened to the desired location? In AsciiDoc I am using "pass::[]". By using these constructs a context.h and alias.h are generated along with the other html help files (context sensitive help information).

  Hi, I have a software written using Qt which is meant to work on both Windows and Linux. I use PNG images as icons for my QActions, embedded in a resource. I have the following tree directory: / resources/ icons.qrc image.png Here is the content of icons.qrc: <RCC> <qresource prefix="/resources" lang="fr"> <file alias="image.png">image.png</file> </qresource> </RCC> I declare my QIcon like that: QIcon(":/resources/image.png") Under Windows, it works well but on Linux (I only tried on Ubuntu 10.4 so far), the images aren't displayed.   These days I tried to apply a free third pary CA ( www.cacert.org & www.freeca.cn ) and then set up Tomcat SSL with the CA. My purpose is to eliminate the "Certificate Error" page when accessing https://... from a client browser. But it's a little hard for me to get around it. My steps to apply a free CA, from www.freeca.cn I used keytool to generate a cer file with command: keytool -genkey ... // Generate a key keytool -certreq ... // Generate a cert file and then I got some code from the cert file, and paste onto www.freeca.cn to generate a cer file. Then I imported the cer file keytool -import -alias abc -file MyABC.cer -keystore mykeystorefile.store And then I set up the mykeystorefile.store into tomcat /conf/server.xml, but it didn't work, sill pop "Certificate Error" page when trying to access https://.... Can someone help me? Thanks

• How to add classes for styling to Drupal when using menu_block?

  I'm using the menu_block module in Drupal for my menus. This works very well, but I want my menu items styled as an image menu. This cannot be done nicely with the default settings - the menu items look something like this: <li class="leaf first menu-mlid-199"><a href="/this/is/some/nice/url" title="Homepage">Homepage</a></li> I'm guessing I could used the menu-mlid-199 class to get the styling I want, because it's a unique id of each menu item, but that seems rather ugly to me. Is there any other way to add reasonably named classes to my menu items, e.g. generate them from the page title or url alias? Even just a sequence would seem nicer - like menu-item-1 and so on.

Specifically, I added the following alias: lg = log --graph --pretty=format:'%Cred%h%Creset - %C(yellow)%an%Creset - %s %Cgreen(%cr)%Creset' --abbrev-commit --date=relative So, when I run git lg, I see the following: * 41a49ad - zain - commit 1 message here (3 hours ago) * 6087812 - zain - commit 2 message here (5 hours ago) * 74842dd - zain - commit 3 message here (6 hours ago) However, I want to add the SVN revision number in there too, so it looks something like: * 41a49ad - r1593 - zain - commit 1 message here (3 hours ago) The normal git log shows you the SVN revision number, so I'm sure this must be possible. How do I do this?

It is initially empty so I created a DSA certificate. keytool -genkey -alias myCert -v -keystore trivial.keystore How can I see the public and private keys? I.e. is there a command that prints the private key of my certificate?   Hi, In my Grails app, I'm using the Searchable plugin for searching/indexing. I want to write a Compass/Lucene query that involves multiple domain classes. Within that query when I want to refer to the id of a class, I can't simply use 'id' because all classes have an 'id' property. Currently, I work around this problem by adding the following property to a class Foo public Long getFooId() { return id } static transients = ['fooId'] Then when I want to refer to the id of Foo within a query I use 'fooId'. Is there a way I can provide an alias for a property in the searchable mapping rather than adding a property to the class?

  I'm reading the following article: http://github.com/guides/keeping-a-git-fork-in-sync-with-the-forked-repo, where they mention essentially pulling in changes from two repos at the same time by creating the following alias: pu = !"git fetch origin -v; git fetch wycats -v; git merge wycats/master" This makes sense, but, as someone new to Git, I'm curious why the commands is that versus: pu = !"git fetch origin -v; git merge origin/master; git fetch wycats -v; git merge wycats/master" or something along those lines. Basically, I'm wondering why the argument to merge is wycats/master and how it knows about origin/master automatically. Looking for a quick explanation.

• Windbg pseudoregister expansion

  Hi, I am trying to automate a device driver's debug session in Windows XP with Windbg. My device has an "index" register and a "data" register, both memory mapped. The index register must be filled with the internal register's index, and the value can be read from the data register. So, the followind Windbg command prints correctly the value of the internel register 0x4C: !ed [uc] 0xfa000000 0x4c; !dd [uc] 0xfa000004 L1 Now I would like to dump a range of internal registers, but it seems that the alias expansion doesn't work as expected in the !ed command. I am trying this cycle: .for (r $t0=0; @$t0<0x100; r $t0=@$t0+1) { !ed [uc] 0xfa000000 @$t0; !dd [uc] 0xfa000004 L1 } but it seems that the !ed command is ignored, as if @$t0 was expanded in an empty string. Tried "$t0", "@$t0", "${t0}" and "@${t0}", but without success. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance
