  I would like to rewrite dynamic URL /index.php?pid=login&redirect=/previous-page.html to something like this /login.html-r-previous-page.html I tried this RewriteRule ^login.html-r-(.*)$ /index.php?pid=login&redirect=$1 [L] But no succes. I was also trying to change the regex to .+ or some other forms, but it seems useless. Maybe I am making mistake somewhere else. I am new to regular expressions and also mod_rewrite.   Hey, I'm trying to mod rewrite the image locations on my site, I'm just using this : rewriteRule ^thumbs/(.*)$ http://site2.com/images/$1 [L] so that I can redirect all image requests going from http://site1.com/thumbs/something to http://site2.com/thumbs/something But only some of the images are loading, and not all of them.   I'm designing an image repository. I want to uncouple the filename from the image html link. For instance: image in filesystem is called images/items/12543.jpg HTML is <img src="images/car.jpg" /> Does anyone strongly discourages me to rewrite all image requests using PHP so when retrieving images/car.jpg, Apache really replies content from images/items/12543.jpg? I don't know if I may get performance problems.

But the file does indeed exist. Given the constraints of the regex in mod_rewrite implementation, I haven't yet seen a straightforward way of doing this.

  Hi, I changed the way my URL are working on my server. It is now www.myserver.com/service instead of www.myserver.com/test/service I have added a RedirectMatch 301 to my Apache conf file to redirect any access to www.myserver.com/test to www.myserver.com/. I am receiving file to this server via an HTTP PUT at this URL for example : www.myserver.com/test/service/put/myfile.xml The server sending the file don't handle the 301 HTTP status code so the files didn't arrived anymore.   I'm given three binary random variables: X, Y, and Z. I'm also given the following: P(Z | X) P(Z | Y) P(X) P(Y) I'm then supposed to determine whether or not it is possible to find P(Z | Y, X). I've tried rewriting the solution in the form of Bayes' Theorem and have gotten nowhere. Given that these are boolean random variables, is it possible to rewrite the system in terms of boolean algebra? I understand that the conditionals can be mapped to boolean implications (x -> y, or !x + y), but I'm unsure how this would translate in terms of the overall problem I'm trying to solve. (yes, this is a homework problem, but here I'm much more interested in how to formally solve this problem than what the solution is...I also figured this question would be entirely too simple for MathOverflow)

ID1 I need to create a table that has the missing records in TableA based on TableB The select query I am trying to create should give the following output C1 P1 S4 To do this, I have the following SQL query SELECT DISTINCT TableA.ID1, TableA.ID2, TableB.ID1 FROM TableA a, TableB b WHERE TableB.ID1 NOT IN ( SELECT DISTINCT [ID3] FROM TableA aa WHERE a.ID1 == aa.ID1 AND a.ID2 == aa.ID2 ) Though this query works, it performs poorly and my final TableA may have upto 1M records. is there a way to rewrite this more efficiently.
