  • MYSQL to UPDATE table if row with 2 specific columns exist or INSERT new row if it does not exist

    - by user2509541
    I have a MYSQL table that looks as follows: id id_jugador id_partido team1 team2 1 2 1 5 2 2 2 2 1 1 3 1 2 0 0 I need to create a query to either INSERT new rows in the table or UPDATE the table. The condition is based on id_jugador and id_partido, meaning that if I wanted to insert id_jugador = 2 and id_partido = 1, then it should just UPDATE the existing row with the new team1 and team2 values I am sending. And dont duplicate the row. However, if I have an entry id_jugador=2 and id_partido=3, since this combination does not exist yet, it should add the new row. I read about the REPLACE INTO but it seems to be unable to check combination of UNIQUE KEYS.

  • Hitting a Button -> Executing any class function I give it in the parameters (C++)

    - by Barnes Noble
    Can anyone help me with class function parameter callbacks? I'm not so sure how to set it up in my code here: http://codepad.org/fvwHtDjQ Basically I've got a player and an enemy. I have two buttons. One button when clicked should let the player jump. The other should make the enemy hit something. When clicked, each button has to correspond to the class function in the parameters. I'm not sure how to set it up though.

  • Rails - before_save that includes updated object

    - by Sam
    I have a before_save that calculates a percentage that needs to include the object that is being updated. Is there a one-liner in Rails that takes care of this? for example and this is totally made up: Object.find(:all, :include => :updated_object) Currently I'm sending the object that is getting updated to the definition that calculates the percentage and that works but it's making things messy.

  • ASP.NET 3.5: GetCallbackEventReference doesn't work synchronously

    - by deadbug
    I have an ASP.NET 3.5 WebForm that leverages the frameworks Page.ClientScript.GetCallbackEventReference() method and I'd like some of the calls to be synchronous. Now, the documentation says that the 5th parameter (see below) controls this. Specifically, when you pass 'false' it's supposed to be a non-asynchronous call. However, regardless if it's true or false, it still processes the call asynchronously. Page.ClientScript.GetCallbackEventReference(this, "arg", "ReceiveServerData", "context",false); Is there a work-around for this or perhaps I'm doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for the assistance!

  • What is the best way to structure those jquery call backs?

    - by user518138
    I am new to jquery and recently have been amazed how powerful those call backs are. But here I got some logic and I am not sure what the best way is. Basically, I got a bunch of tables in web sql database in chrome. I will need to go through say table A, table B and table C. I need to submit each row of the table to server. Each row represents a bunch of complicated logic and data url and they have to be submitted in the order of A - B - C. The regular java way would be: TableA.SubmitToServer() { query table A; foreach(row in tableA.rows) { int nRetID = submitToServer(row); do other updates.... } } Similar for tableB and table C. then just call: TableA.SubmitToServer(); TableB.SubmitToServer(); TableC.SubmitToServer(); //that is very clear and easy. But in JQuery, it probably will be: db.Transaction(function (tx){ var strQuery = "select * from TableA"; tx.executeSql(strQuery, [], function (tx, result){ for(i = 0 ; i < result.rows.length; i++) { submitTableARowToServer(tx, result.rows.getItem(i), function (tx, result) { //do some other related updates based on this row from tableA //also need to upload some related files to server... }); } }, function errorcallback....) }); As you can see, there are already enough nested callbacks. Now, where should I put the process for TableB and tableC? They all need to have similar logic and they can only be called after everything is done from TableA. So, What is the best way to do this in jquery? Thanks

  • AS3 - Can I have access to the object (or function) who call me?

    - by lk
    I've asked this same question with Python. Now I like to know if this can be done in AS3. If I have something like this: package { public class SomeClass { private function A():void { C() } private function B():void { C() } private function C():void { // who is the caller, A or B ??? } public function SomeClass() { A() B() } } } Despite the design or other issues, this is only a question of an inquiring mind. Note: This has to be done without changing C signature Note 2: I like to have an access to an instance of the caller function so I can call that caller function (if I want to)

  • PHP template class with variables?

    - by Josh
    I want to make developing on my new projects easier, and I wanted a bare bones very simple template engine solution. I looked around on the net and everything is either too bloated, or makes me cringe. My HTML files will be like so: <html> <head> <title>{PAGE_TITLE}</title> </head> <body> <h1>{PAGE_HEADER}</h1> <p>Some random content that is likely not to be parsed with PHP.</p> </body> </html> Obviously, I want to replace {PAGE_TITLE} and {PAGE_HEADER} with something I set with PHP. Like this: <?php $pageElements = array( '{PAGE_TITLE}' => 'Some random title.', '{PAGE_HEADER}' => 'A page header!' ); ?> And I'd use something like str_replace and load the replaced HTML into a string, then print it to the page? This is what I'm on the path towards doing at the moment... does anyone have any advice or a way I can do this better? Thanks.

  • PHP preg_replace - Don't match with h1 tags

    - by James
    Hi there. I am using preg_replace to add a link to keywords if they are found within a long HTML string. I don't want to add a link if the keyword is found within h1 tags or strong tags. The below regex nearly works and basically says (I think): If the keyword is not immediately wrapped by either a h1 tag or a strong tag then replace with the keyword that was matched, as a bolded link to google. $result = preg_replace('%(?!<h1>)(?!<strong>)\b(bobs widgets)\b(?!<\/strong>)(?!<\/h1>)%i','<a href="http://www.google.com"><strong>$1</strong></a>', $result, -1); (the reason I don't want to match if in strong tags is because I am recursing through a lot of keywords so don't want to link an already linked keyword on subsequent passes) the above works fine and won't match: <h1>bobs widgets</h1> It will however match the keyword in the following text, because the h1 tag isn't immediately either side of the keyword: <h1>Here are bobs widgets for sale</h1> I need to make the spaces either side optional and have tried adding \s* but that doesn't get me anywhere. I'd be very grateful for a push in the right direction here.

  • php regex word boundary matching in utf-8

    - by dontomaso
    Hi, I have the following php code in a utf-8 php file: var_dump(setlocale(LC_CTYPE, 'de_DE.utf8', 'German_Germany.utf-8', 'de_DE', 'german')); var_dump(mb_internal_encoding()); var_dump(mb_internal_encoding('utf-8')); var_dump(mb_internal_encoding()); var_dump(mb_regex_encoding()); var_dump(mb_regex_encoding('utf-8')); var_dump(mb_regex_encoding()); var_dump(preg_replace('/\bweiß\b/iu', 'weiss', 'weißbier')); I would like the last regex to replace only full words and not parts of words. On my windows computer, it returns: string 'German_Germany.1252' (length=19) string 'ISO-8859-1' (length=10) boolean true string 'UTF-8' (length=5) string 'EUC-JP' (length=6) boolean true string 'UTF-8' (length=5) string 'weißbier' (length=9) On the webserver (linux), I get: string(10) "de_DE.utf8" string(10) "ISO-8859-1" bool(true) string(5) "UTF-8" string(10) "ISO-8859-1" bool(true) string(5) "UTF-8" string(9) "weissbier" Thus, the regex works as I expected on windows but not on linux. So the main question is, how should I write my regex to only match at word boundaries? A secondary questions is how I can let windows know that I want to use utf-8 in my php application.

  • PHP - REGEX - use string for pattern but exclude it from being removed!

    - by aSeptik
    Hi All guys! i'm pretty new on regex, i have learned something by the way, but is still pour knowledge! so i want ask you for clarification on how it work! assuming i have the following strings, as you can see they can be formatted little different way one from another but they are very similar! DTSTART;TZID="America/Chicago":20030819T000000 DTEND;TZID="America/Chicago":20030819T010000 DTSTART;TZID=US/Pacific DTSTART;VALUE=DATE now i want replace everything between the first A-Z block and the colon so for example i would keep DTSTART:20030819T000000 DTEND:20030819T010000 DTSTART DTSTART so on my very noobs knowledge i have worked out this shitty regex! :-( preg_replace( '/^[A-Z](?!;[A-Z]=[\w\W]+):$/m' , '' , $data ); but why i'm sure this regex will not work!? :-) Pls help me! PS: the title of question is pretty explaned, i want also know how for example use a well know string block for match another... preg_replace( '/^[DTSTART](?!;[A-Z]=[\w\W]+):$/m' , '' , $data ); ..without delete DTSTART Thanks for the time! • Replacing all GUIDs in a file with new GUIDs from the command line

    - by Josh Petrie
    I have a file containing a large number of occurrences of the string Guid="GUID HERE" (where GUID HERE is a unique GUID at each occurrence) and I want to replace every existing GUID with a new unique GUID. This is on a Windows development machine, so I can generate unique GUIDs with uuidgen.exe (which produces a GUID on stdout every time it is run). I have sed and such available (but no awk oddly enough). I am basically trying to figure out if it is possible (and if so, how) to use the output of a command-line program as the replacement text in a sed substitution expression so that I can make this replacement with a minimum of effort on my part. I don't need to use sed -- if there's another way to do it, such as some crazy vim-fu or some other program, that would work as well -- but I'd prefer solutions that utilize a minimal set of *nix programs since I'm not really on *nix machines. To be clear, if I have a file like this: etc etc Guid="A" etc etc Guid="B" I would like it to become this: etc etc Guid="C" etc etc Guid="D" where A, B, C, D are actual GUIDs, of course. (for example, I have seen xargs used for things similar to this, but it's not available on the machines I need this to run on, either. I could install it if it's really the only way, although I'd rather not)

  • DOM manipulation in PHP

    - by bluedaniel
    Hello everyone, Im trying to use the DOM in PHP to do a pretty specific job and Ive got no luck so far, the objective is to take a string of HTML from a Wordpress blog post (from the DB, this is a wordpress plugin). And then out of that HTML replace <div id="do_not_edit">old content</div>" with <div id="do_not_edit">new content</div>" in its place. Saving anything above and below that div in its structure. Then save the HTML back into the DB, should be simple really, I have read that a regex wouldnt be the right way to go here so Ive turned to the DOM instead. The problem is I just cant get it to work, cant extract the div or anything. Help me!! UPDATE The HTML coming out of the wordpress table looks like: Congratulations on finding us here on the world wide web, we are on a mission to create a website that will show off your culinary skills better than any other website does. <div id="do_not_edit">blah blah</div> We want this website to be fun and easy to use, we strive for simple elegance and incredible functionality.We aim to provide a 'complete package'. By this we want to create a website where people can meet, share ideas and help each other out. After several different (incorrect) workings all Ive got below is: $content = ($wpdb->get_var( "SELECT `post_content` FROM $wpdb->posts WHERE ID = {$article[post_id]}" )); $doc = new DOMDocument(); $doc->validateOnParse = true; $doc->loadHTMLFile($content); $element = $doc->getElementById('do_not_edit'); echo $element;

  • Search string in file (C)

    - by chutsu
    So my code isn't working... test.c:27: warning: passing argument 1 of ‘search’ from incompatible pointer type which is the fgets line. My code opens a file, reads the file line by line, and I'm trying to create a "search" function that will return a value that indicates whether that string is found on that line of the file. My ultimate goal is to achieve a search and replace program. But one step at a time eh? this is what I have so far: #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> int search(const char *content[], const char *search_term) { int t; for(t=0; content[t]; ++t){ if(!strcmp(content[t], search_term)){ return t; // found } } return 0; // not found } int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { FILE *file; char line[BUFSIZ]; int linenumber=0; char term[20] = "hello world"; file = fopen(argv[1], "r"); if(file != NULL){ while(fgets(line, sizeof(line), file)){ if(search(line, term) != -1){ printf("Search Term Found!!\n"); } ++linenumber; } } else{ perror(argv[1]); } fclose(file); return 0; }

  • Replacing text with apostrophe text via sed in applescript

    - by bob stinton
    I have an applescript to find and replace a number of strings. I ran in the problem of having a replacement string which contained & some time ago, but could get around it by putting \& in the replacement property list. However an apostrophe seems to be far more annoying. Using a single apostrophe just gets ignored (replacement doesn't contain it), using \' gives a syntax error (Expected “"” but found unknown token.) and using \' gets ignored again. (You can keep doing that btw, even number gets ignored uneven gets syntax error) I tried replacing the apostrophe in the actual sed command with double quotes (sed "s…" instead of sed 's…'), which works in the command line, but gives a syntax error in the script (Expected end of line, etc. but found identifier.) The single quotes mess with the shell, the double quotes with applescript. I also tried '\'' as was suggested here and '"'"' from here. Basic script to get the type of errors: set findList to "Thats.nice" set replaceList to "That's nice" set fileName to "Thats.nice.whatever" set resultFile to do shell script "echo " & fileName & " | sed 's/" & findList & "/" & replaceList & " /'"

  • PHP Dom problem, how to insert html code in a particular div

    - by sala_7
    I am trying to replace the html code inside the div 'resultsContainer' with the html of $response. The result of my unsuccessful code is that the contents of 'resultsContainer' remain and the html of $response shows up on screen as text rather than being parsed as html. Finally, I would like to inject the content of $response inside 'resultContainer' without having to create any new div, I need this: <div id='resultsContainer'>Html inside $response here...</div> and NOT THIS: <div id='resultsContainer'><div>Html inside $response here...</div></div> // Set Config libxml_use_internal_errors(true); $doc = new DomDocument(); $doc->strictErrorChecking = false; $doc->validateOnParse = true; // load the html page $app = file_get_contents('index.php'); $doc->loadHTML($app); // get the dynamic content $response = file_get_contents('search.php'.$query); $response = utf8_decode($response); // add dynamic content to corresponding div $node = $doc->createElement('div', $response); $doc->getElementById('resultsContainer')->appendChild($node); // echo html snapshot echo $doc->saveHTML();

  • How to find all initializations of instance variables in a Java package?

    - by Hank Gay
    I'm in the midst of converting a legacy app to Spring. As part of the transition, we're converting our service classes from an "instantiate new ones whenever you need one" style to a Springleton style, so I need a way to make sure they don't have any state. I'm comfortable on the *nix command-line, and I have access to IntelliJ (this strikes me as a good fit for Structural Search and Replace, if I could figure out how to use it), and I could track down an Eclipse install, if that would help. I just want to make absolutely sure I've found all the possible problems. UPDATE: Sorry for the confusion. I don't have a problem finding places where the old constructor was being called. What I'm looking for is a "bullet-proof" why to search all 100+ service classes for any sort of internal state. The most obvious one I could think of (and the only one I've really found so far) is cases where we use memoization in the classes, so they have instance variables that get initialized internally instead of via Spring. This means that when the same Springleton gets used for different requests, data can leak between them. Thanks.

  • Replace Whole Site by FTP

    - by Sam Machin
    Hi There, I've got a set of tools which periodically (about once a day) generate a complete set of static HTML pages for a site with associated folder structure etc. I then need to put those file onto the production server, my problem is that the server runs IIS(6 I think) and I only have regular FTP access. I need a way to automate the process of publishing the new site and it needs to a total replacement of the files each time its published, eg delete the whole folder & contents then put the new ones up. My source server is a ubuntu machine and I've got total control at that end, I have tried using CurlFTpFS but it seems to be too slow for what I'm trying to do and locks up. Rgds Sam

  • Looking for a new backup solution to replace dying tape drive

    - by E3 Group
    We're running Windows Server 2003 SBS and another machine with Server 2003 Standard on it. The SBS server is about 7 years old running pretty much 24/7 - a HP server of some description. We have an Ultrium 448 cycling LTO2 400GB tapes daily and incrementally backing up approximately 100gb worth of data (20gb C:\ and system state, 40gb exchange, 40gb database for some crap marketing software) on BackupExec 10D. As of 5 months ago, the backups have been consistently failing with IO errors, bad reads and some write errors. When I say consistent, I mean every time and we haven't had a proper backup for the entire 5 months - So if the server explodes tomorrow, 7 years worth of data will just cease to exist. I've only just recently rejoined the company and am looking at rectifying the more concerning problems, so the first thing I did was try a backup to an USB2.0 external drive. It was excruciatingly slow. In fact it was so slow it took 40 hours and it still wasn't finished. I ended up cancelling it and reconfiguring the selections again to reduce file size. This, however, isn't a permanent solution. I concluded that the IO error was either from a faulty tape drive (which has a tape stuck in there right now and not coming out) or from a dying SCSI controller. Neither of them are good news and both are extremely expensive to fix. I'm operating on an extremely low budget so have been looking at outsourcing the backups. A company in Sydney (where I'm located) offer incremental online backups via a NAS. It costs almost double a new tape drive but offers monthly repayments which will let us get through times when cash flow is minimal. It seems like a sweet deal but it is still a little bit pricey. So I'm looking for a cheaper, yet reliable solution. Maybe some in-house NAS or something offsite? The idea is to avoid using tapes. Are there any recommendations for rectifying my current situation? Or are tapes the only way to go? I'm concerned that the server will die one day in the near future and I must be able to restore it to another server with different hardware.
