  Possible Duplicate: How do I change the Respond To for Group Email adresses in Notes 6.5 When I send an email from a group mail box the email shows my email address as the sender. I would like to hide my email and only show my name. I am using Notes 6.5. Could you please advise if there is a way to set up my client to do this. I want this so the receiver responds to the group email not my personal email as it may be that I am not the one to do the fillow up to the response. There are 10 people in the group email.

• Hyper-V Boot failure on VHD made with Acronis?

  hoping someone can advise on my problem, I am running Hyper-V core and trying to create my first VM for testing purposes. Using Acronis True Image echo server with UR I converted a Seerver 2000 tib to VHD. I then copied this across to the Hyper-V local drive and created a new VM pointing the hard drive to the vhd image. When I boot this up all I get is "Boot failure. Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot media in selected Boot device". The original server had SCSI disks, the Hyper-V server doesn't, but I have ensured that it boots from an IDE disk and that it is in fact booting from that not the CD. I can only imagine this is caused by the SCSI disks on VHD but cannot for the life of me work out how to fix, I have several of these I need to do so starting to worry now! I can confirm that when I did this from tib to vmdk it worked first time using VMware on a laptop. Any help very much appreciated. Gary

  My current setup has: a pfsense firewall with 4 NICs and potential for a 5th 1 48 port 3com switch, 1 24 port HP switch, willing to purchase more subnet 1) edge (Windows Server 2003 for vpn through routing and remote access) and subnet 2) LAN with one WS2003 domain controller/dns/wins etc., one WS2008 file server, one WS2003 running Vipre anti-virus and Time Limit Manager which controls client computer use, and about 50 pcs I am looking for a network design for separating clients and staff. I could do two totally isolated subnets, but I'm wondering if there is anything in between so that staff and clients could share some resources such as printers and anti-virus servers, staff could access client resources, but not vice versa. I guess what I'm asking is can you configure subnets and/or vlans like this: 1)edge for vpn 2)services available to all other internal networks 3)staff which can access services and clients 4)clients which can access services but not staff By access/non-access, I mean stronger separation than domain usernames and passwords.

• Mac OS X 10.6 issues connecting via vpn to Microsoft server

  I am currently running Mac OS X Snow Leopard and trying to use the native vpn client to connect to our Microsoft vpn server. If I route all traffic via the vpn connection I am able to connect to our servers, however, external traffic to i.e. google or stack overflow is blocked. If I uncheck the checkbox to route all traffic via the vpn I can connect to the vpn, however, I can not connect to my servers, external traffic to google or stackoverflow works though. Is this a vpn client issue, do I need to purchase Mac OS X vpn software instead of the native client, or is there a Microsoft vpn server setting that has to be checked. I am not familiar with the server software, but I wanted to post this question here to help out our network admin with the Mac OS X machines.

Ease of use (easy installation, low maintenance and good support) is priority number one, it supersedes price by a wide margin. The installation we had in mind would support up to ten workstations. • Good low-cost SSL certificate providers

  We need an SSL certificate to facilitate remote access and administration by a small number of employees. I don't want to have to train a bunch of non-technical users to install a self-published cert on their home computers, so I'd prefer to purchase one from a well-trusted provider. We won't be using it for any kind of e-commerce or things like that, so it seems hard to justify paying the prices demanded by some of the big-name providers. Who are some good low-cost providers to consider? What are the important differences between the offerings that are available at different price points? (And is the certificate business really as much of a racket as it seems?)

  Hi, I am using Win 7 64 bit with Firefox as my web browser. Whenever I double click on the FF icon to open my firefox, there would be a chinese website, loading as a tab on my FF. I have checked on my setting for startup homepage for FF under the Tools > Options, it was set to Google as my default page. Can anyone please advise how can I remove the disturbing chinese website from loading on my ff everytime I open my firefox? Thank you very much.

• Mod_rewrite display subdomain.domain.com and call domain.com/subdomain/ for SSL

  I have a website secured by a standard SSL certificate, securing a few different shops under different subdirectories. Ex. domain.com/shop1/ The shops are also accessible via a subdomain e.g. shop1.domain.com. What I'm trying to accomplish: display shop1.domain.com to the user, while keeping all of the actual server calls as domain.com/shop1, so that the secure pages will continue to work properly. (Not sure if I'm using the proper language, exactly, I hope my point is clear.) To be clear: my SSL is working fine, and I don't need help with that, and I don't need or want to purchase a UCC cert. It can't be that difficult for anyone with experience with Apache. (I've spent 3 hours trying to learn about mod_rewrite. It's just not clicking.) I'm on a GoDaddy secure shared server, so please keep in mind that I'm not able to reset the server or anything.

  Hi, A friend has managed to set up their new Windows 7 Home Premium Dell Inspiron and forgot the password they have used. I have tried the following password reset software to no avail: UBCD OHPCrack Offline NT Password & Registry Editor *Trinity Kon Boot I have also tried to do a system restore but this asks for the password. The user does not have any data they need to save. Is there anyway I can get access to the restore partition using Linux to create a recovery disk or do I have to purchase a recovery disk from Dell? Any help is greatly appreciated.

• Linked vSphere servers preventing cloning?

  I've currently got a pair of vSphere5 standard servers (physical, not VAs) managing about a hundred ESX 4.1 and 5 hosts in two different physical and logical datacenters. With our last purchase, we bought another vSphere license for the new vS server. I unmanaged all the ESX servers in one datacenter and added them to new vSphere server. Our previous single-vS-server layout used to be: -vSphere1 --Datacenter1 (where the physical ESX host was located) ---Folder ----ESX server1 --Datacenter2 ---Folder ----ESX server2 Now it looks like -vSphere1 --Datacenter1 ---Folder ----ESX server1 -vSphere2 (new vSphere server) --Datacenter2 ---Folder ----ESX server2 ESX server2 was removed from vSphere1's inventory and added to vSphere2's, so it is now managed by vSphere2. This is nice and all, as no vSphere <-- ESX management traffic leaves the physical datacenter, except for one huge oversight: when I go to clone a VM, the opposite vSphere server (and thus other datacenter) does not show up in the list on the first page of the wizard. Is this a bug, a license limitation, or is it just simply not possible to clone a VM from an ESX box managed by one vS server to another ESX box managed by a /different/ vS server?

• Quick way to convert Excel sheet to XML

  How do you easily convert an excel file into a XML file? When trying to save as an XML File, it complains that the file does not have an XML mapping. Clicking help brings up pretty complicated stuff about XML Mapping file, XLD and some other acronyms. Why is it so complicated? Lately I've realized that tab delimited, CSV and others are prone to formating issues (comas in a field, new lines, quotes, ...). So I think that XML is a better way to process excel data. Please advise. Maybe a freeway tool?

  When I try to authorize my iTunes account on Snow Leopard (10.6) with iTunes 9.0.2 I get this error: "There was an error storing your authorization information on this computer the required file was not found or has a permissions error. Correct..." And if I try to download something from the iTunes store, I get this: iTunes couldn't download your purchase.You don't have write access for your iTunes Media folder or a folder within it...." • Prevent apache http server changing response code

  Hi all, I have a servlet providing a REST based service running on tomcat which I am accessing through Apache Http Server v2.2. My problem is that a response code for one for the service methods is being changed when it passes through http server. I have a curl script which I use to test the service. It is supposed to return a 204 No content response which it does when I hit the servlet directly. When I hit Apache with the script the response gets changed to a 200 Ok. Can anyone with experience of configuring Apache advise me how to fix this? Thanks, Brad.

  My friend is a Skin specialist (Tricologist) and she has a computer with WinXP in her office. She asked me if I can recommend a hardware which would enable her to write on a graphics tablet that would appear on the screen. Her requirement is thus: There is a prescription paper, a sheet of paper (A4 size) which has a letter head (With the title of the Clinic, Doctor's name etc). The exact image of the paper is available on the Computer. She takes the pictures of the patient's head with a camera and pastes the photo over the sheet of paper. So the top half of the prescription paper will have the photo of the patient's head. In the second half, she wants to write the medication required. I have heard of Bamboo graphics tablet and I saw video in Youtube. But I am not sure if it would be the right solution for her. Can anyone please advise me on this?

  Hi All, I am very new to the VMware world. We have VMWare vCenter 4 in the production environment but we have created multiple VLAN through Cisco Switch. I want know, how I can create an isolated test environment for software testing purpose only, so anything will happen in that test vLan will not make trouble in the production environment. "Host-only networking" is the solution or there is a better way to achieve this result? My requirements A. Hosts should be able to access Internet and a Network Share drive but not Production network B. Hosts should connect each other inside the Virtual LAN C. I should be able to take automatic or periodic backup or snapshoot and deploy snapshot when necessary. Whatever your answer is, please give me steps, how to do, if possible. Also, I guess the answers would differ depending on the language, so I'm looking for information related to the English/en-US versions only (I believe there is an en-GB version as well?) The Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant allows one to create USB/DVD (ISO) media: Is the media customised per-PC in any way, or are copies created on different PCs with different base OSes (XP/Vista/7) exactly the same? If the ISOs are not customised, are they exactly the same content-wise as the Upgrade DVDs available for purchase?

• Apache redirect from one domain to another domain

  Like many users, we tend to register the *.com and *.net versions of our domain names to prevent nefarious squatters. So if we wanted "foo.com" we'd also register "foo.net" and have them both resolve to the same IP address. Trying to set up Apache for the first time and need to know the proper way to redirect requests to "foo.net" to go to "foo.com" instead so that if a user types in "foo.net" they get magically redirected to "foo.com". I've been reading through the Apache URL Rewriting guide (http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/misc/rewriteguide.html) and it's not readily apparent how to do this seemingly simple task. • Windows 8 Disk Mirroring vs Intel Fake RAID

  So Windows 8 is out and I have a new motherboard. I wish to create a RAID 1 coupling between two HDDs -- for storage purposes only (my OS is on an SSD) -- but I don't know which is the best route to take. My motherboard (Z77 chipset) comes with the age old Intel Fake RAID, but since I only wish to use my RAID for storage, I wondered if I might be better to use Windows 8 Disk Mirroring. Can anyone advise which is better? Or perhaps the pros and cons of each, if that's too contentious? I just can't see the benefit of FakeRAID. • Logging Bounced messages to a Database (Postfix with virtual domains/users)

  We have a postfix installation with a couple of virtual domains each with virtual users. These domains and users are mapped using a mysql database. I have been until now tracking bounces by parsing the postfix log file. I suspect there must be better and more efficient ways of doing this. I thought of three but I am not sure what is best: Write a Postfix content filter that logs the bounce and throws away the mail Use procmail - but I am not sure how procmail would work with virtual users who have no $HOME defined Write a script that POPs mail from mailboxes; parses and logs them and deletes the bounced email I would appreciate advise on which would be best from a maintenance point of view and efficient from conserving server resources point of view. • Can I provision half a core as a virtual CPU?

  I am virtualization newbie. Please advise on these questions. Please note using a commercial VM software like Citrix or VMware is not a choice for me. I have at my disposal a couple of 2x 4 core servers with 32 GB RAM. I need to create 16 VMs on each server to test some web applications. Can I provision half a core as a virtual CPU for each VM? To my best knowledge I can't do so on Xen. Is it possible on KVM or some other free open source VM solution? If it's not possible to assign half a core, how do I ensure that uniform processing power is available for all VMs? Since the job is to create separate instances for hosting 16 web apps in a physical server, do you recommend setting up a private cloud using Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud as a better option? Is there HA solution under KVM, like Remus for Xen?

• Running IE on OSX with WineBottler: Can't find wine?

  So I want to run IE7 on OSX 10.6 with WineBottler. I saw it was possible to run IE on Mac with WineBottler, following these instructions. I installed WineBottler and IE7. All was looking good. However, when I tried to open IE7 from the Applications menu, I got an error message: "Can't find Wine. Wine is required to run this program." I then installed wine-devel from macports (which was a bit fiddly as I hit this problem and had to update a lot of dependencies, but it did eventually build). However, even after doing that, I'm still seeing the 'Can't find wine' error message whenever I try to open IE7 or WineBottler. Could anyone advise? Do I need to start wine running somehow?

• Smart card authentication to a Cisco switch?

  We have our Cisco network devices configured to authenticate network administrators using their domain accounts via RADIUS running on a Windows 2008R2 server with the network protection role. This works great for logging into the switch via SSH when configuring the devices. We are now in the beginning stages of deploying smart cards for logins. Does anyone know of a way to login to a Cisco switch using a smart card instead of a domain username and password? The SSH client we are using is Putty. Workstations are Windows 7. RADIUS is running on Windows 2008R2. We are running our own certificate authority on Windows 2008; network is not connected to the Internet. We prefer to not have to purchase additional proprietary devices for this functionality.

• Where can I compare monitors with a given VESA mount?

  I am looking into purchasing a dual-monitor setup, and need to purchase two monitors with VESA MIS-D mounts. My only problem is that that information doesn't seem to be readily available on most shopping websites. Neither Amazon nor Newegg seem to have the information searchable or filterable. I could shop for monitors, then Google around to see if they support VESA MIS-D, but is there a better way? Is there a resource (not necessarily a store - once I find a monitor I can shop elsewhere) where I can browse a variety of monitor specs and reviews while only looking at monitors with a certain VESA mount?
