    I'm looking for a way to integrate opus-codec (the decoder part) with my Android application. Do you know of any implementations that have done so? We are currently using ogg-vorbis for spoken prompts, considering going with either speex (deprecated, but with few documented attempts) or opus (currently no documented attempts). If we would have to go the NDK route, do you think it should provide us with a application size improvement? OggVorbis is supported by the platform, neither speex nor opus are.

    Hello All, I have been building index on a 200 million row table for almost 14 hours. Due to resource over-consumption on the machine (because of a separate incident), the machine cashed. Clearly, I want to avoid another 14 hours to re-construct the index. Is there a way that I can resume the construction of index from the point (or slightly back) where the machine crashed?     I just read that Android has a 450% performance improvement because it added a JIT compiler, I know what JIT is, but I don't really understand why is it faster than normal compiled code? or what's the difference with the older approach from the Android platform (the Java like run compiled bytecode).   • What do you expect of an 'Experienced Developer'?

    I have been programming for about 10 years: 7 years C++, 3 years MFC, 2 JSP/Servlets, and the last year .NET (since there was some overlap the total won't add up). The problem is now that I am looking for a new job, I don't know what the latest thing is in C++ AND Java AND .NET AND MFC and somehow at interviews I am expected to KNOW everything about these topics because I have them listed on my resume. Recently I have attempted to create mult-page forms - the forms work...but they are slow as molasses. Having spent a couple of weeks trying to resolve this and not seeing any signs of improvement ......     Hi, iPhone app shuts down when ever any call accepted by user. When call ends, app will resume. I want to capture that event when app resumes after call ends. Howsoever I have tried: on App delegate: - (void)applicationWillTerminate:(UIApplication *)application - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application - (void)applicationDidBecomeActive:(UIApplication *)application - (void)applicationWillResignActive:(UIApplication *)application On view load: viewDidLoad ViewwillAppear But non of the above event occur. Dont know how would I know that user is coming back after receiving a call.
