    I want to create a JSON object. I have tried the following myString=new JSONObject().put("JSON", sampleClass).toString(); but mystring gives me {"SampleClass@170f98"}. I also tried the following XStream xsStream=new XStream(new JsonHierarchicalStreamDriver()); SampleClass sampleClass=new SampleClass(userset.getId(),userset.getUsername()); myString=xsStream.toXML(sampleClass); It works but when i use getJSON in javascript to get myString it does not work.

  • Best practice PHP Form Action

    Hi there i've built a new script (from scratch not a CMS) and i've done alot of work on reducing memory usage and the time it takes for the page to be displayed (caching HTML etc) There's one thing that i'm not sure about though. Take a simple example of an article with a comments section. If the comment form posts to another page that then redirects back to the article page I won't have the problem of people clicking refresh and resending the information. However if I do it that way, I have to load up my script twice use twice as much memory and it takes twice as long whilst i'm still only displaying the page once. Here's an example from my load log. The first load of the article is from the cache, the second rebuilds the page after the comment is posted. Example 1 0 queries using 650856 bytes of memory in 0.018667 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html 9 queries using 1325723 bytes of memory in 0.075825 - domain.com/article/1/my_article/newcomment.html 0 queries using 650856 bytes of memory in 0.029449 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html Example 2 0 queries using 650856 bytes of memory in 0.023526 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html 9 queries using 1659096 bytes of memory in 0.060032 - domain.com/article/1/my_article.html Obviously the time fluctuates so you can't really compare that. But as you can see with the first method I use more memory and it takes longer to load. BUT the first method avoides the refresh problem. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best approach or for alternative ways to avoid the extra load (admittadely minimal but i'd still like to avoid it) whilst also avoiding the refresh problem?

  • Action script 3 bitmap glitch, alpha fade in out

    I have actually solved this problem but it was a weird one so I will post it and my solution. I had a movie clip with several children each of which had it's own alpha settings. It also had a bitmap child object with a masked movie clip sitting on top of it. I was fading in and out the parent movie clip and was getting some odd results all of the alpha settings of the children were being removed and the bitmap was glitching and showing the contents of the masked object that was above it. The problem was that my alpha value for fully opaque was 100 (as in AS2) not 1 (as per AS3). It took me ages to work this out so hopefully this helps someone else.

    I just started using RJS which is awesome however I am used to putting visual effects in the link_to_remote and such and I'm not sure how to trigger actions before and after remotes are triggered.     I would like to run a backup job on a directory tree from a bash script if any of the files have been modified in the last 30 minutes. I think I can hack together something using find with the -ctime flag, but I'm sure there is a standard way to examine a directory for changes. I know that I can inspect the ctime of the top level directory to see if files were added, but I need to be able to see changes also. FWIW, I am using duplicity to backup directories to S3.

  • ASP.MVC 1.0 complex ViewModel not populating on Action

    Hi, I'm 3 days into learning MVC for a new project and i've managed to stumble my way over the multitude of issues I've come across - mainly about something as simple as moving data to a view and back into the controller in a type-safe (and manageable) manner. This is the latest. I've seen this reported before but nothing advised has seemed to work. I suspect this is because the default model binder doesn't realise the HTML ItemId and Identifier elements rendered inline in the View map to the SearchFragment class. When I have two extra properties (ItemId and Identifier) in the IndexViewModel, the values are bound correctly. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, I must use the SearchFragment as I need this to strongly type the Search UserControl... as the control can be used anywhere it can operate under any parent view. I really don't want to make it use "magic strings". There's too much of that going on already IMO. I've tried prefixing the HTML with "Search." in the hope that the model binder would recognise "Search.ItemId" and match to the IndexViewModel "Search" property and the ItemId within it, but this doesn't work. I fear I'm going to have to write my own ModelBinder to do this, but surely this must be something you can do out-of-the-box?? Failing that is there any other suggestions (or link to someone who has already done this?) Here's hoping....

  • How can I reload a datagrid in flash action script, after an xml file has loaded

    Hi Everyone, Does anyone know how to change the rowcount of a datagrid in flash after it has been created on the stage. I am loading an xml file externally that contains the number of rows the datagrid should have, but the problem is that becuase this file is not loaded at runtime, it just picks the default 3 items. Maybe I have to reload the datagrid on the stage, or loop until it is defined. Does anyone have experince of this. Regards, Chris

  • Updating ToolStripProgressBar and ToolStripStatusLabel along with with an action

    In a Windows Form, I have a search box that fires an event to search a remote database and display some results. The query is pretty fast, usually just a fraction of a second, but in case the delay is noticeable there is a progress bar and label in the form's status bar. When the user clicks "Search" the status label should appear and the progress bar show some progress. Then when the result comes back the label should disappear and the progress bar should be full. Pretty basic response. The problem is, I can't get those actions to happen in that order. Using the code below, I click "Search", nothing happens until the results are displayed, and then the progress bar fills up from 0 to 100. The label never appears. I even threw in a sleep command immediately after the event to be sure I wasn't just missing it, but it's as if the first 2 statements are not being executed.   • ASP .net MVC Invoking default controller and action vs Setting a startup page

    Hi, I am developing code on the sample ASP .net MVC template provided by VS2010. The first time I ran the code without adding anything, the index.aspx page was invoked which is expected. But for some reasons I added a login.aspx and then accidentally set that as a startup page. Now when I ran the application the default startup url look like http://localhost/Views/login.aspx. I am thinking this is not a valid MVC routing path and I get the requested resource cannot be found error. I am not sure how to revert this back and make sure the default ../home/index is invoked. Can any one throw some light on this? Also should I not set the startup page as we do in asp .net webforms?

    I'm using Hibernate validator 4.1 to validate my entity. I have a dashboard that I can access from the action : viewDashboard. If I have a type="redirectAction".. I lose the error messages. in Struts 1, I would forward to the action viewDashboard.do without a redirect and that will works.. but How to do that in Struts2 ?

But my problem is that which is show by black lines.if the player find the first word which is "DOG". he click the Two UIButtons in Sequence,but not press the Third one in Sequence.(as show by black line).so here i want that when player press the any UIButtons which is not in Sequence then remove the previous text(which is "DO") of UILabel and now the Text of UILabel is only "G" .
