I have webpage I downloaded with C++ to a string, and it is basically a massive list of links. I need to find the last 2 elements of the list. Can anyone help me on how to do this?
I'm loading a webpage inside a HTML component in AIR. By default, when something is clicked the next page is loaded inside the HTML component itself. I want the links from that page to open in an external web browser.
Is this possible at all?
Hi, i am detecting images on my webpage with javascript document.images function which returns an rray of images. Is there any way to get the mime type of the image from this since i am not using any extension names on images which are loading?
Given any object in Ruby (on Rails), how can I write a method so that it will display that object's instance variable names and its values, like this:
@x: 1
@y: 2
@link_to_point: #<Point:0x10031b298 @y=20, @x=38>
I also want to be able to print <br> to the end of each instance variable's value so as to print them out nicely on a webpage.
the difficulty now seems to be that not every instance variable has an accessor, so it can't be called with obj.send(var_name)
(the var_name has the "@" removed, so "@x" becomes "x")
Im currently working on the GUI for an ASP.NET MVC application using Visual Studio 2005. The visual webpage designer (for the views) is awful.
Any input on what other people use would be most appreciated!
On a webpage, is it possible to split large files into chunks before the file is uploaded to the server? For example, split a 10MB file into 1MB chunks, and upload one chunk at a time while showing a progress bar?
It sounds like JavaScript doesn't have any file manipulation abilities, but what about Flash and Java applets?
This would need to work in IE6+, Firefox and Chrome. Update: forgot to mention that (a) we are using Grails and (b) this needs to run over https.
i have developed a mobile version of a page and it uses some mobile specific java and css
i have come across many solutions to point mobile/iphone users to that specific page and desktop users to original webpage.
but what i want is that i get both things in one page and when user is on mobile that certain part of javascript and css run while on same page
without user being redirected to other pages.

I'd like to get the titles of some links on a webpage to show them in a table. The page links change a lot, so I don't know how to make the table "dynamic", to show the link titles correctly.
Is this possible with JavaScript?
Hi All

I have some pages that are sent via HTTPS. Internet Explorer sometimes complains about "This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS".
I looked in the html source to confirm all content calls (href, src, etc...) are sent via https. My CSS files use relative paths. But I'm still getting these warnings.
Is there an easy way to track down which items are not sent via HTTPS?
Is there anyway to prevent flash files (swf) that are embeded within a webpage from opening a browser window? Eg. prevent the links within a flash file from opening new windows.

I want to use selenium scripts to click on a bunch of links on my webpage one by one, each click results in a page refresh. However selenium doesn't support css pseudo class like :visited, so I can't distinguish the ones that are already clicked from the ones that I want to click on next.
Is there a way to solve my problem?
I have a python script on a linux server that I can SSH into and I want to run the script on the linux server( and pass it parameters entered by the user) and get the output on an ASP.net webpage running on IIS. How would I be able to do that?
Would it be easier if I was running a wamp server?
Edit: The servers are in the same internal intranet.
I know this is a long shot, but I figured I'd ask the question anyway.
I have an HTTPS page and am dynamically creating a form. I want to POST the form to an HTTP page. Is this possible without the browser popping up a warning? When I do this on IE8, I get the following message:
Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?
Essentially, I'm asking about the inverse of question 1554237.
Well, I'm pretty much trying to figure out how to pull information from a webpage, and bring it into my program(in Java). For example, if I know the exact page I want info from, for the sake of simplicity a Best Buy item page, how would I get the appropriate info I need off of that page? Like the title, price, description? What would this process even be called? I have no idea were to even began researching this :'(
I need to get the pageYOffset of the bottom of the viewable area, whether the user is zoomed in on the webpage or not, on Mobile Safari ( iPhone ). However pageYOffset returns the offset from the upper left corner of the window.
Spec:
"pageYOffset properties returns the pixels the current document has been scrolled from the upper left corner of the window"
How do you get the page y offset from the bottom of the viewable area, (zoomed in or not) on the iPhone via Javascript?

This may seem a strange question, but is it possible to disable javascript for the printed version of a webpage?
The reason being, it causes the printout's layout to all be on top of each other. But if I turn off javascript it works fine.
Any ideas?
