  • ASP.NET MVC & Windsor.Castle: working with HttpContext-dependent services

    I have several dependency injection services which are dependent on stuff like HTTP context. Right now I'm configuring them as singletons the Windsor container in the Application_Start handler, which is obviously a problem for such services. What is the best way to handle this? I'm considering making them transient and then releasing them after each HTTP request. But what is the best way/place to inject the HTTP context into them? Controller factory or somewhere else?

    i'm having 2 tables: members and comments. I select all members, and then join comments. But in comments I'm selecting some SUM of points, and if user never commented, I can't get that user in listing?!     I need to redirect all the requests from localhost:8080/app1/ to localhost/app1. which is the best way to do it. The only requirement is that the user must never be aware that he is accessing the application at port 80. i guess I need to set up Apache HTTPD proxying - I'm just not sure which is the best way to do it.   • IE6 is duplicating characters, can't figure out why. Suggestions?

    Problem is located on http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/ We have a dresses slider at the bottom, select tabs different dresses shown. Works fine everywhere else, but for some reason, in IE6, the letters "ls" (from the tab "Best Deals") are duplicating inside the content and causing rendering issues. I've yet to find anything that can fix this, or anything that can be blamed for causing this either. I've changed the letters at the end of Best Deals, and the duplicated letters change as well. Open to any suggestions.

    I have a SQL table (MYSQL 4.0 to be precise) composed of the following : int no (primary) int field1 int field2 I would like to swap the values of field1 with the values of field2 and vice-versa. Ex.: 1;2.5;3.76 becomes 1;3.76;2.5 I need a swapping temporary variable of some sort. But I don't think I can use something like Set @var1 = field1 inside my update statement. And I don't think altering the table to add a temporary column is my best best either.

    I'd like to have my Axis2 Web Service read from a configuration file, whose name is sent as a parameter to the service. Where is the best place to put this file? And How to best access it? Examples welcome. I've checked the current directory is the Apache/Tomcat/bin file, I could put it in the parent directory, or put it into a Apache/Tomcat/conf, although this looks like it's more reserved for apache configuration itself.
