    I'm searching for a console code editor with CUA key bindings (ctrl-x c v etc.) Right now i'm toying mcedit but i don't really like it. My desired features are: * be fast * CUA key bindings (ctrl-x c v etc.) * toggle show line numbers * find/replace/goto line * bind custom keys to action( ctrl-shift-arrowdown to double the curent line etc.) * nice simple vi-like interface (no pointless menus) * be able to programatically extend it ... etc.

    Hello I have a .NET CF project. In the project directory I put a simple xml file (users.xml) which has to be read by the device. When I debug the application on device emulator and try to load the file from code, the Exception is thrown (FileNotFoundException "Could not find file '\users.xml'."). Is there a mechanism to automatically deploy also configuration files to a device emulator?

    Does AMQP has any advantages over an ad-hoc implementation for a simple stats gathering scenario? It works like this - clients send events (more than we care to put into persistent storage) to (several) web workers, the workers aggrregate them and write to a single database. I don't think I should consider using AMQP for this because I'll still need web workers to receive events from clients through HTTP and to publish them. Am I missing something?

    I have series of files like this: foo1.txt.gz foo2.txt.gz bar1.txt.gz ..etc.. and a tabular format files that describe the file foo1 - Explain foo1 foo2 - Explain foo2 bar1 - Explain bar1 ..etc.. What I want to do is to have a website with a simple search bar and allow people to type foo1 or just foo and finally return the gzipped file(s) and the explanation of the file(s). What's the best way to implement this. Sorry I am totally new in this area.

    Hi Is there a simple way of tracking the change of an Mdi's children i.e. when they are created and closed, something like an event OnMdiChildListChanged (I realise this doesn't actually exist). I am also aware that I could have a method within my Mdi that handles the creation of child forms and logs the state of them or even create an Interface that defines that a child form has a "NotifyParent" method that is then called on close of the form, but i was wondering if there was any built in events that i could plumb into?     I have existing Linux shared object file (shared library) which has been stripped. I want to produce a new version of the library with some additional functions included. I had hoped that something like the following would work, but does not: ld -o newlib.so newfuncs.o --whole-archive existinglib.so I do not have the source to the existing library. I could get it but getting a full build environment with the necessary dependencies in place would be a lot of effort for what seems like a simple problem.

But I already saw differences in layout and behavior between our app and Chrome (that uses WebKit as well), e.g.: - different fonts are displayed for the same web page - an html anchor link with "javascript:someFunction()" is not working Is there somewhere a summary list of all such differences (not the entire QtWebKit bug list)? Also: is there a way to use a WebKit version more similar to Chrome in my application?
