    - by user293357
I'm using LinqToSql like this with a CheckBoxList in ASP.NET: var teachers = from x in dc.teachers select x; cbl.DataSource = teachers; cbl.DataTextField = "name"; cbl.DataValueField = "teacherID"; cbl.DataBind(); I want to display both "firstname" and "name" in the DataTextField however. • login restriction with ldap, but where to store the functional rights/access control list?

    - by jrEwing
Question is: Best practices when using LDAP authentication like MS ActiveDirectory but having complex access control rights inside each application. Did you put it all in the LDAP or did you link it with information in the application? Looking to build this in asp.net mvc 2 and using membership features, so best practice here i guess is that we roll our own custom provider to acomplish this...

  • php error message "Notice: Undefined index: aid"

    - by iaagty
I'm looking for a complete list of security guidelines for programming and deploying PHP web sites and applications on an Apache (Linux) server. Basically, a "security check list" to run through before finishing a project. I.e., Cross Site Scripting Cross Site Request Forgery Sanitize form data that goes into database Disable register globals and error reporting in custom php.ini Upload files below web root ...(the list goes on) I did some searching on the internet and in this forum, but couldn't find a comprehensive, succinct, and complete list of guidelines. Thanks in advance.

  • How do I diagnose a failure in the Membership service on an ASP.NET remote site?

    - by ProfK
Yesterday I added a custom MembershipProvider to an ASP.NET web application, but when I deployed the application to its remote host server, it failed. I know I had the login info correct, and I also know that for nearly any exception in the login process, the Login control displays the standard error message, "Your login failed", so I assume something is wrong in the code/config. What can I do to diagnose what is wrong on the server?

  • .htaccess double redirect of a 404 page.

    - by peti

My current .htaccess file does the following redirect: ErrorDocument 404 http://imgpls.localhost/includes/404.php So the url looks like: mysite.com/includes/404.php .
