  • Generic delegate instances

    I wonder if C# (or the underlying .NET framework) supports some kind of "generic delegate instances": that is a delegate instance that still has an unresolved type parameter, to be resolved at the time the delegate is invoked (not at the time the delegate is created). I suspect this isn't possible, but I'm asking it anyway... Here is an example of what I'd like to do, with some "???" inserted in places where the C# syntax seems to be unavailable for what I want.   • Html.Editor() helper in ASP.NET MVC 3 does not work as expected with array in model

    In my ASP.NET MVC 3 application I have classes like the following: public class Localization<T> { public int VersionID { get; set; } public T Value { get; set; } ... } public class Localizable<T> { public Localization<T>[] Name { get; set; } ... } Then, I have the following view: @model dynamic ... @for (int i = 0; i < VersionCount; i++) { ... @Html.Editor(string.Format("Name[{0}.Value", i)) ... } Now, when I display this view, passing a subclass of Localizable<string> as the model, the textboxes for the strings are rendered, but they are empty. If I replace @Html.Editor(string.Format("Name[{0}.Value", i)) with @InputExtensions.TextBox(Html, string.Format("Name[{0}].Value", i), Model.Name[i].Value), the textboxes are correctly filled with values from the model. However, using TextBox instead of Editor is not an option for me, because I want to use different editor templates for different types of T. So, what am I doing wrong, or is it a bug in MVC, and is there any workaround?

Is there a way i can have the objects returned in the order with their Label.name sorted like this ['1','1a','5c','7'] Thanks!

  • XSLT ... I can'f find a (working) find minimum value in XML and set variable

    I've search for hours and not found an example that allows for the very first position to be the lowest. I'm getting 'False' instead of the value returned .... EDIT: Oddly enough if I run a 2nd instance as MAX_Landed with ascending it returns a value just fine. If I switch the order in the XSLT the first instance will return 'False' and the 2nd will work. Hope I'm making sense .....     I'm trying to load an assembly that was installed as part of .Net 3.5 SP1 using Assembly.Load() by referencing its strong name. This works fine on my computer right now, but is it future proof? Will the strong name of core .Net assemblies change when patches are installed or new versions of the .Net framework are released? If so, how can I load an assembly from the GAC without using it's strong name?

  • Core Data to-many relationship in code

    I have three entities: Session, User and Test. A session has 0-many users and a user can perform 0-6 tests. (I say 0 but in the real application always at least 1 is required, at least 1 user for a session and at least 1 test for a user. But I say 0 to express an empty start.) All entities have their own specific data attributes too. A user has a name, A session has a name, a test has six values to be filled in by the user, and so on. But my issue is with the relationships. How do I set multiple users and have them added to one session (same goes for multiple tests for one user). How do I show the content in a right way? How do I show a session that has multiple users and these users having completed multiple tests? No we did this but for some strange reason it doesnt display a error when a radio button is unchecked.     hi, I'm passing data to a ListView to display some restaurant names. Now when clicking on an item I'd like to start another activity to display more restaurant data. I'm not sure about how to do it. Shall I pass all the restaurant data in a bundle through the intent object? Or shall I just pass the restaurant id and get the data in the other activity? In that case, how can I access my restaurantList from the other activity? In any case, how can I get data from the restaurant I clicked on (the view only contains the name)?     I'm using the following function to get a URL parameter. function gup(name, url) { name = name.replace(/[\[]/, '\\\[').replace(/[\]]/, '\\\]'); var results = new RegExp('[\\?&]'+name+'=?([^&#]*)').exec(url || window.location.href); return results == null ? null : results[1]; } It works only if the parameter has a value, for example. gup('a', 'http://example.com/page.php?a=1&b=2'); will return 1. But if I try gup('a', 'http://example.com/page.php?a&b=2'); It returns null. I want it to return true because parameter "a" exists in that url, even though it has no value it's still there and gup() should return true. Could I get a bit of help rewriting this? I'm not that good with regex.

    I'm creating a custom ActionResult class and I need it to be able to operate on a UserControl. All of the examples I've found so far pass in the full path like so: return MyResult("~/ControllerName/UserControlName.ascx", myModel); But I'd like it to operate the same way as calling View(), i.e. I just pass in the name and MVC determines the correct route: return MyResult("UserControlName", myModel); Is there a way I can find out the correct route to the control without specifying it manually?
