    A brief electrical outage interrupted my 12.04 upgrade. After many tries, which included trying to upgrade from a command line, I was able to access Ubuntu screens again. I find that the 12.04 upgrade was indeed not completed; I am still running 11.10. However, Update Manager does not give me the option of installing 12.o4 now. And, when I run Update Manager, I am asked if I want to execute a "partial install." When I answer "yes," I receive the message above. Besides a clean install, any ideas about what can I do to upgrade to 12.4?

    I'm currently having my internship at a elementary school. I got the task to setup users for some classes, with that I also need run Windows Update too. So I have been scanning Google for something that does this in vb.net since I have been coding some in that before. I din't find much on the subject except for "C:\Windows\System32\wuauclt.exe /detectnow" though when I run it it don't seem to do much. So the question is it there is any command or file you can run to make Windows download and install updates? To clarify it need to work on Windows 7, I'm also writing the program in .NET 3.5.     I am looking to install mediawiki on a production server (after doing a test on a development one). I could not really understand why the default location for the mediawiki files is /var/lib/mediawiki. I would have thought /var/www would've made more sense. I did some research and in http://people.canonical.com/~cjwatson/ubuntu-policy/policy.html/ch-customized-programs.html#s-web-appl it says the following Web Document Root Web Applications should try to avoid storing files in the Web Document Root. Instead they should use the /usr/share/doc/package directory for documents and register the Web Application via the doc-base package. If access to the web document root is unavoidable then use /var/www Can anyone explain why this is please?

ASP.NET Identity makes it easy to integrate user-specific profile data with application data. ASP.NET Identity also allows you to choose the persistence model for user profiles in your application. You can store the data in a SQL Server database or another data store, including NoSQL data stores such as Windows Azure Storage Tables” There’s a great page on the asp.net site that gives an introduction, overview, how to use it, and how to migrate to it. I won’t be doing a new project for awhile at work, but I’ll definitely be looking into this more when I get the time.

I know there are a lot, but I couldn't find what I need.. the basic process of monitoring tool I used to use before was, 1) Install agent in my server which I want to monitor 2) The agent send data to "their server" 3) I can check the health of my server through web browser presented by them. What I need is, avoiding "Step 2". Are there any monitoring tool that I can use? I have Windows 2008 and Linux servers simple feature will be enough like (CPU, Memory, Network..) Thank you

    I just started coding a year ago. By "coding" I mean HTML(5), CSS(3), and only a few times I implemented AJAX and JavaScript. I am interviewing for a position that expects me to know HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery, and AJAX. I am good with HTML5/CSS3 and somewhat ok with js. If I go for an interview, will they expect me to write code during the interview? I do have a live website as an example and snapshots of past projects that I sent to them. I am a little nervous, so any tips or something from your experience I can learn will be helpful.
