Test if element already has jQuery datepicker

I have a form with many input elements. Some are date fields with a jQuery UI datepicker alraedy attached: $("#someElement").mask("9?9/99/9999").datepicker({showOn: 'button', buttonText:'Click here to show calendar', duration: 'fast', buttonImageOnly: true, buttonImage: /images/calicon.gif' }); Then I have a key command bound to this function: function openCalendar() { var selection = document.activeElement; // { Need to test here if datepicker has already been initialized $(selection).datepicker("show"); // } } This works great for elements which already have the datepicker on them. However any other fields will throw a javascript error. I'm wondering the best way to test to see if datepicker has already been initialized on that field.

clicking anchor element within jquery tab loads new page outside tab

Hello, I would like to be able to click on an achor element from a page inside a jQuery tab and have that new page load directly inside the original tab. I used sample code from the jQuery tutorial page but to no avail! When I click on the anchor tag, I get redirected to www.google.com but lose my tabs. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? would really appreciate it. Data retrieval error in Jquery

I'm trying to retrieve data from a php file named return that contains <?php echo 'here is a string'; ?>. I'm doing this through an html file containing ` div { color:blue; } span { color:red; } var x; $.get("return.php", function(data){ x = data; }) function showAlert() {alert(x);} $(document).ready(function(){ alert(x); }); ` When the button is clicked it retrieves and displays the code fine, but on the page loading, it displays "undefined" instead of the data in return.php. Any solutions?

Hello, I am quite a jQuery novice and try to read out the result of a PageMethod into my jQuery script. I have a ScriptManager installed and the following WebMethod: [WebMethod(EnableSession = true)] public static string CheckSystemDefault(string _id) { int id = Convert.ToInt16(_id); addressTypeRepository = new AddressTypeRepository(); AddressType addressType = addressTypeRepository.GetById(id); if (addressType.IsSystemDefault == true) return "IsSystemDefault"; else return "IsNotSystemDefault"; } I use this to check if an object has the property IsSystemDefault. In the script, I hand over the id from the url and want to evaluate the result: var id = $(document).getUrlParam("id"); var check = PageMethods.CheckSystemDefault(id); if (check == "IsSystemDefault") { ... } if (check == "IsNotSystemDefault") { ... } But as a result, the variable "check" is undefined. What do I have to change?

Dynamically created image doesn't show when <img>'s src is refreshed to point to it

Hello, I have a javascript function generateGraph() { ... jQuery.get('chart.php?month='+month+'&year='+year); document.getElementById('graph').src = 'charts/'+month+'_'+year+'.png'; ... } which is called onChange. It basically creates, if not exists, or refreshes if already exists, a PNG image (using the first line above) and supposedly displays the generated image (using the second line above). The first line works, but the second one doesn't. Meaning, the image is generated, but the second line can't display the image, unless the page is reloaded, or if the image being referred to already existed before the page was loaded (meaning the 1st line just "refreshed" the image) Any ideas as to why this is and how to fix it? Hi, We are building a flash website with cms at the back end, and we are allowing admin to put anchors inside a content. Later we created a smaller version of the whole content to display just a small part and then [read more] button. Which add a new layer on top of every thing acting like a popup and it is populated with complete content. Now we would like to scroll that text inside popup to that portion which [read more] button was clicked. The most common example inside HTMl is go to top link in footer on most of the sites which move the whole document to top. Happy codding.

SQL Server 2000 DTS Package Failing with "The number of failing rows exceeds the maximum specified"

I have inherited a SQL Server 2000 DTS package that migrates data from SQL Server to Oracle. This package moves about 20 tables' data to Oracle every night with no transformations, and it is then transformed by a set of SPs and used by a GIS application. Twice this week, during the migration between SQL Server and Oracle, the package has failed with "The number of failing rows exceeds the maximum specified". It has failed on a different table each time, though. Each time it's failed, we've rerun the process the next morning and it has worked. Because the process works the second time it's run, it makes me think the data is being changed by someone or something between the initial failure and our successful second run. I would like to change the DTS package to log the failing rows in a text document so we can compare them later. Can someone help me with that? I can't seem to figure that part out. Scott

Hy I am a uber nube to jquery my question is like this: if I have multiple toggle on same page and the div I`m toggleing must be desplayed in the same div. Documenting logic in javadoc

I have a question about where to document logic in javadocs. For example, I have the following method signature in an interface: public int getTotalAssociationsAsParent(Long id, Long type); The method returns associations where the given ID is the parent and the association is of type 'type'. ID is required, but if type passed in is NULL, then I will return ALL associations where the ID is the parent. My question is where should this type of logic be documented? I hesitate putting it in the javadoc of the interface because that sort of constrains all implementing classes to adhere to that logic. Maybe in the future, I'll have an Impl class that throws an IllegalArgumentException if type is NULL. However, if I put it in non-javadoc in the Impl class, then consumers of this method won't know how the method behaves with a NULL type.

I want to read the sessionid in cookie which is automatically generated by asp.net. such as ASP.NET_SessionId. but when i use javascript: document.cookie = "ASP.NET_SessionId=;" since i want to set the ASP.NET_SessionId to be empty. but after the javascript executed, i found instead of change the ASP.NET_SessionId to empty, system generate a new cookie with ASP.NET_SessionId equal to empty. why system not modify the cookie but generate a new one ? Hi All, I am new to web services. I have a requirement in my project. I have to consume the web services of our vendor in my project. All he has shared with me is a WSDL file and a document about the description of the the different operations. Question:- 1: What do I need to do consume these web services in my java project? I have been advised to use axis2, eclipse with tomcat6. 2: Do I need to ask for some other files/information from WS vendor OR wsdl file is enough to consume these web services? 3: Do I need to write a java WS client (using axis2 plugin) or another webservice which will talk to vendor web service? fade in all divs of a page. once the content of the divs is loaded

I want all the divs on my page to fade in after the content is loaded. The code below loads in all imgs in the #div container. Which is great. but it does not load in images that are used as div background images loaded through the css file. So i think the most effective way is to create a piece of code that fades in all the divs on the page after the content ie: images and text has loaded. Is there A way to do this. In iPhone OS, what UTI represents a plain ol' text file?

I'm attempting to make use of the UIDocumentInteractionController mechanism in iPhone OS 3.2, but I'm struggling to figure out exactly how to construct a UTI that it likes. I've gotten as far as attempting to set "public.plain-text", but it's hard to test whether this is the correct UTI for a plain text document, since I can't tell whether the issue is that my iPad doesn't have any apps that support plain text import. (I figured Pages would, but I suppose perhaps not, since it will attempt and fail to load any files with the extension .pages, regardless of UTI). Any seasoned OS X developers that can help on this?

jQuery: Self Executing Plugin?

I am working on expansion of my jQuery plug-in authoring knowledge, just playing around with my own ideas for learning benefits. So i was wondering how you guys tackle the need of plugin executing without any user specific input. So I have a need for plug-in that executes right away after document is ready, without any user's specific input just as long as doc is loaded, so the only way I see how to execute plug-in on it's own is to attach handler to ready listener that executes my function which I extended the jQuery with. And because this needs to be self enclosed, part of the code, I attach handler to event listener within the function. So how else could one tackle this? Any take at this is appreciated. Or will the iframe request get processed concurrently while rest of the document is downloaded and rendered?

Make Sphinx generate me rst for class documentation from pydoc

I'm currently in process of migrating existing (non complete) documentation to Sphinx. The final goal is to have all documentation in Sphinx. The problem I'm facing right now is that I have some documentation using Python docstrings (well the module is actually written in C, but it probably does not matter) and I would like to generate class documentation in form usable for Sphinx from these docstrings. I know there is sphinx.ext.autodoc, but it automatically puts current docstrings to the document. I rather want to generate source (rst) file based on current docstrings, which I could edit and improve manually. So is there some way to turn existing docstrings into rst form which Sphinx consumes?

Scroll bar not maintaining its position in ListView (ASP.net)

Hi I have a listview inside a DIV which shows the scroll bars. At one time, let's say, 10 rows can be seen. I scroll down and click Edit on 25 row. To my surprise, the scroll goes to the first row (although if I go back to 25th row, the row is in edit mode) My issue, how I can make sure that the scroll bar maintains its position to 25th row after clicking on Edit button? atlbase.h not found when using Visual C++ Express 2010

So I tried moving my project to Visual C++ Express 2010 on Windows 7 from a previous version on Windows XP. I got all sorts of errors where atlbase.h was not found. This isn't so much a question but I wanted to document what my resolution was for others. Copied the following PlatformSDK files from my previous install and put them on my Windows 7 machine. PlatformSDK/include/atl PlatformSDK/include/mfc PlatformSDK/lib PlatformSDK/src/atl I then change the VC++ Directories in the project Properties to point to those directories. Include Directories- *include/atl *include/mfc Library Directories- *lib Source Directories- *src/atl Make a change to stdafx.h right after this line: #include "atlbase.h" add this line: extern CComModule _Module; Hopefully you're ready to go now! Probably not but perhaps you are well on your way.
