• WPF MVVM: TextBox and default Button binding does update too late

  I've got a simple WPF dialog with these two controls: <TextBox Text="{Binding MyText}"/> <Button Command="{Binding MyCommand}" IsDefault="True"/> Now, when I enter some text in the TextBox and click the button using the mouse, everything works like expected: the TextBox will set MyText and MyCommand is called. But when I enter some text and hit enter to "click" the default button, it does not work. Since on hitting enter the focus does not leave the TextBox, the binding will not be refresh MyText. So when MyCommand is called (which works), MyText will contain old data. How do I fix this in MVVM? In classic code-behind I probably just would call "MyButton.Focus()" in the MyCommand handler, but in MVVM the MyCommand handler does know nothing about the button. So what now`?

  Can someone please help as i've spent all day trying to fix this. I installed the latest XAMPP and now i can't connect to mysql from terminal.I checked my .profile file and the PATH seems ok. • ViewContext.RouteData.Values["action"] is null on server... works fine on local machine

  I'm having a weird issue where ViewContext.RouteData.Values["action"] is null on my staging server, but works fine on my dev machine (asp.net development server). The code is simple: public string CheckActiveClass(string actionName) { string text = ""; if (ViewContext.RouteData.Values["action"].ToString() == actionName) { text = "selected"; } return text; } I get the error on the ViewContext.RouteData.Values["action"] line. • UITextView autoscroll to last line

  Hi *, When writing in a UITextView more text than can fit entirely inside it, the text will scroll up and the cursor will often place itself one or two lines above the view's bottom line. This is a bit frustrating as I want my application to make good use of the entire height of the text view. Basically what I want is to configure the UITextView to write up to it's lowest part and not use it just for scrolling. I've seen some similar questions here, here and here. However I've not seen a proper solution yet. Thanks

• GUI and non gui difference

  hi guys as i know we have gui and non gui application today. but remember back in the old days there were many application thats kinda like half gui half not . the applications are text based and it has no GUI like what we have now if we were to use java swing library or etc. but you could pretty much select the area that you want using keyboard shortcut . pretty much looks like vim with more features. basically it is text based but not fully gui so my question is how did they do this ? to make the text output persistent and process the data as being inputed non sequentially (non gui typically inputs data non sequentially)

• Disabling Magnifying Glass in UITextView in an iPhone App

  I want to display text and I want to be able to know where in this text a user touches. Because the text could be long, I wanted to use a UITextView so that wrapping and everything would be taken care of. I want my own event handling for when a touch begins or moves. My problem is that the magnifying glass and select/select all menu are interrupting my touchesMoved events. How can i disable the magnifying glass, but still have user interaction enabled so that I can detect the touches?

• Ant Copy Task: Failed to copy due to java.io.FileNotFoundException

  I'm trying to compile a Flex application in Ant (no problems here, I can do it fine). When I try to publish the contents of the project to a Windows network drive (known as "Z:\" on my system), I get the following LAME exception thrown by Java/Ant: BUILD FAILED C:\workspace\bkeller\build.xml:42: Failed to copy C:\workspace\bkeller\web\assets\text\biography.html to Z:\web\bkeller\assets\text\biography.html due to java.io.FileNotFoundException Z:\web\bkeller\assets\text\biography.html (The system cannot find the file specified) Which kind of sucks. I can't find any way to get rid of this problem and it's pretty crucial to my project that I get this working. I know for sure that I have read/write/execute permissions on the network drive, I can create/edit/delete files on the drive just fine through Windows explorer. Drive Z is a network mount to virtualbox, allowing me to get access to my host OS, Ubuntu. I've double checked that it has write permissions. Any ideas?

  Hello all, I have read through all relevant posts on Prawn but found no mentioning (even in Prawn's own documentation) of headers and footers. However, I did see a demo on Prawnto's own website about headers and footers. I copied the entire source of that demo just to see if it works but an error of undefined method "header" is complained about. Am I to understand that Prawn took out header and footer recently in the gem or is there something else I need to do first to use header and footer? • Sendmail Failing to Forward Locally Addressed Mail to Exchange Server

  I've recently gained employment as a web developer with a small company. What they neglected to tell me upon hire was that I would be administrating the server along with my other daily duties. Now, truth be told, I'm not clueless when it comes to these things, but this is my first rodeo working with a rack server/console.. However, I'm confident that I will be able to work through any solutions you provide. Short Description: When a customer places an order via our (Magento CE 1.8.1.0) website, a copy of said order is supposed to be BCC'd to our sales manager. I say supposed because this was a working feature before the old administrator left. Long Description: Shortly after I started, we had a server crash which required a server restart. After restart, we noticed a few features on our site weren't working, but all those have been cleaned up except this one. I had to create an account on our server for root access. When a customer places an order, our sites software (Magento CE 1.8.1.0) is configured to BCC the customers order email to our sales manager. We use a Microsoft Exchange 2007 Server for our mail, which is hosted on a different machine (in-house) that I don't have access to ATM, but I'm sure I could if needed. As far as I can tell, all other external emails work.. Only INTERNAL email addresses fail to deliver. I know this because I've also tested my own internal address via our website. I set up an account with an internal email, made a test order, and never received the email. I changed my email for the account to an external GMail account, and received emails as expected. Let's dive into the logs and config's. For privacy/security reasons, names have been changed to the following: domain.com = Our Top Level Domain. email.local = Our Exchange Server. example.com = ANY other TLD. OLDadmin = Our previous Server Administrator. NEWadmin = Me. SALES@ = Our Sales Manager. Customer# = A Customer.   Windows Live Mail by default changes straight quotation marks (" and ') to typographic quotation marks, aka "smart quotes" (“, ”, ‘ and ’). This often results in the recipient of the email seeing blank rectangles or other symbols instead of the smart quotes, due to encoding problems. Unlike in most programs, there's doesn't seem to be any built-in option to disable this, and searching online for solutions only leads to workarounds, like hitting Backspace immediately after typing a single or double quote, and switching to "Plain text" mode. Is there any way to disable this behaviour?

But when I pick a large element, the text fields get pushed out to the right. Is there any way to set the maximum size of the spinner so after choosing an element, it shortens the choice with an ellipsis ("...") or something?

  I have a problem with the following code in an ASPX page: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('.test').click(function() { alert("click") }) }); </script> <asp:CheckBox runat="server" Text="Checkbox XYZ" CssClass="test" ID="cb1" /> In the browser (FF3.5 / IE8) I have the following problem: if I click the checkbox (the small square), it works as expected if I click the checkbox's text ("Checkbox XYZ"), then the click event is fired twice, and the alert is shown twice I guess this has to do with the way the checkbox is rendered to HTML, which is like this: <span class="test"> <input id="ctl00_c1_cb1" type="checkbox" name="ctl00$c1$cb1" checked="checked" /> <label for="ctl00_c1_cb1">Checkbox XYZ</label> </span> How do I correctly setup the click event handler to prevent it from being called twice?

• jQuery not loading on Master Page when the Content Page is in a child folder.

  I have a site where I am trying to implement a jQuery UI based MessageBox in my master page. Content pages are arranged accoring to business area folders, i.e. '~/Branding/Contracts.aspx'. I find that when I load such a content page, jQuery, which is referenced in the master page as below, does not load. I assume that this is because the browser is requesting 'Branding/Scripts/jQuery '. What can I do about this? I enabled the Windows authentication, and now when I run it I get a blank screen. Same result if I open it in IE via the url (rather than debugger). • ldapsearch password file format

  How am I supposed to pass a password to ldapsearch using the -y <password file> option? If I write the password in the password file in plain text, I get this error: ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49) additional info: 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C0903AA, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 52e, v1772 The same happens if I use the -w <password> option. Am I missing something?

I have a simple layout like so` <TextView android:id="@+id/name_prompt_view" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="@string/name_prompt" android:padding="10dip"/> <EditText android:id="@+id/name_inp" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:lines="1" android:maxLines="1" android:maxLength="48" android:inputType="text" </LinearLayout> ` for some reason the dialog is only wide enough for the text input field about 11 chars wide. How do I make the dialog width fill the screen?
