I think the problem is in the time format.. How can i code in subsonic ,which compare only the date in the date-time column. I Don't need date "Between" method in subsonic, since i can get single date parameter(From date alone). how can i solve this problem. Thnks in advance

• Is MS Access still the most efficient RAD tool for small-scale custom apps?

  Of the many other development tools I've used, nothing holds a candle to the 'Functionality to Development Effort' ratio of MS Access. The reason I am asking is that I have been out of the language selection process for a few years, working on a large .Net system, and am only anecdotally familiar with the latest development tools outside the .Net world. I'm well aware of the limitations of Access, but for a limited concurrency (usually only 1 user at a time), small business, custom app, has anybody found a comparable end-to-end solution or combination that comes close? It doesn't have to be free, open source, or even Windows based. It just has to allow the same speed of development and maintenance, and maybe even provide some additional amenities like seamless autointegration with a server-based DB Engine (like Access does with its own 'Jet' dbms), better web support, and a file format more compatible with source control. I don't want to miss out on anything. Please share your development experience with your suggestions. Thanks.

  I have a Backbone collection whose URL depends on the initialize function. When I create an instance of this Backbone collection, I pass in an ID to filter which instances of the model appear.   If I have a C++ set, declaration set personList; with iterator, set::const_iterator location; how can I print out the contents of the set? They are all person objects, and I have overridden the operator<< for Person. The line that errors is: cout << location and it's in a basic for loop. Netbeans gives the following error: proj.cpp:78: error: no match for ‘operator<<’ in ‘std::cout << location’ so it looks like it wants an override for the iterator's <<. Basically, I am taking objects that used to be stored in an array format, but are now in a set. What is the equivalent to cout << array[i] for sets?

  My first time posting a question here so please do not mind my mistakes here. I'm currently making an android application fetching and sending information from a .asmx web service. Everything goes well with the ksoap2 library and am using HttpTransportSE to call the web service. So now what I'm trying to do is to use the HttpsTransportSE to call the web service over Https. I got java.security.cert.certpathvalidatorexception trustanchor for certpath not found exception. I have the server certificate in .pfx , .jks and .bks format. My questions is what do i do with it to make my HttpsTransportSE call to be success? I've read around with articles using custom SSLSocketFactory but am still not sure how to implement it in my application. Thanks in advance for any suggestion/advices

• Display two images side by side on an HTML Page

  I am trying to place two images of the same size side-by-side. If I use a "table" then I am able to display both images side-by-side. But in my CSS Stylesheet I am using a custom format for the table and this shows on the page containing the images too. But I want to just display both images without any custom background or border etc. I tried using "div", "span", "ul" & "li" etc. but failed in each case. How can I place two images (of same size) in a single line, without using a "table"? If I have to use "table" for the same, then how can I use two (or more) different formatting for my tables using CSS? Thank you. Lalit Kumar Barik

  I am developing an Android application and require some basic datetime manipulation. I have a Date object (from Java.util.Date) holding a specific date. I need to add a specific time to it. The time I have is a string in this format: "9:00 PM EST" How would I "add" this time to the previous date? If the Date object currently has: "4/24/10 00:00:00" How would I change it to instead be: "4/24/10 09:00:00 EST" I would prefer to do this without the use of an external library, if possible.

  Hi there, I’m working with Net beans IDE and I want to add a piece of code to my project in a way that the source code won’t be visible to the user who is running the project, I decided to export that piece of code as a jar file in eclipse and then add that jar file to the project. But unfortunately net beans does not let me import that. It says which it is expecting a . Or when I insert. It goes in to that class and I cannot import that jar file into the project by import instruction. Is there a command in net beans which creates and object from jar file and then makes access to the functions and classes of the jar file? Would you please give the format of that instruction?   I am trying to make an availability calender and need to know how can I compare date when fetching it. My DB is id start_date end_date status Now suppose I want to fetch booking in next month, i.e. from 2010-03-01 to 2010-04-01. How should I fetch this data ? I did try comparing directly using an and condition but it didnt help. The format in DB is yyyy-mm-dd and I used the same to compare. But direct comparison does not work.

  I am trying to loop through an existing table (tblSalesOrder) and I need to run through every line (where they relate to that particular customer) and write each line into an SQL statement and execute it. What is the easiest way to go about this procedure? The number of lines will need to be counted prior to data being written via SQL to a QuickBooks database. I can code something similar in php using the code below, but I am unsure how to convert this into a VBA friendly format: $sql_count = "SELECT count(*) FROM tblSalesOrder WHERE Customer='cust_number'"; execute_query($sql_count) When the above value is greater than 0, the vba code should loop through the queries. • Interpreting Accept Headers as intended in IE and Webkit

  I developed a web app that responds with data in the format as specified by the client in the HTTP Accept Headers. Everything worked fine while using Firefox, but when I wanted to check my CSS / HTML on Chrome and IE, both of them wanted to download the index page, as if it's an unknown content type. After some research I found this article, which states that IE sends out a lot of crud in it's HTTP Accept headers, amongst others a list of image/* content types right at the start. This caused my web app to try to send the index page as an image/jpeg. So how do I know when to ignore and when to use the Accept Headers?

• Tools for displaying text, powerpoint style, in linux

  I have a problem where I need a way to display a repeating series of "images" on a computer monitor. Specifically, given a series of text files, I'd like a way to display the contents of said files on a screen in a way much like a powerpoint would. My current thoughts are to find some tool that will take in a text file of some format, and then output an image which contains the text from the file. Then I'd put it in a directory and have some Slideshow program continuously go between the images in that directory. It's a very hacky solution, obviously. So, does anyone know of tools that would do such a thing? Or is there a better way to do this? I've looked into the library libgd2, but it doesn't seem to support text-wrapping for images, which is something I'd need. Thanks!

First off, my sql skills are not great (I don't even know if I'm following the correct format for illustrating the db).   In my application I am trying to save an arbitrary part of a rendered HTML canvas to an image file. In my Javascript I call ctx.getImageData(x, y, w, h) and pass the resulting object to my macruby code (though if you know a solution in objc I am also very interested). There I'm trying to create a NSBitmapImageRep object so that I can then save to an image format the user desires. • Perl module for parsing natural language time duration specifications (similar to the "at" command)?

  I'm writing a perl script that takes a "duration" option, and I'd like to be able to specify this duration in a fairly flexible manner, as opposed to only taking a single unit (e.g. number of seconds). The UNIX at command implements this kind of behavior, by allowing specifications such as "now + 3 hours + 2 days". For my program, the "now" part is implied, so I just want to parse the stuff after the plus sign. (Note: the at command also parses exact date specifications, but I only want to parse durations.) Is there a perl module for parsing duration specifications like this? I don't need the exact syntax accepted by at, just any reasonable syntax for specifying time durations. Edit: Basically, I want something like DateTime::Format::Flexible for durations instead of dates.

• Wicket and a rich ajax website: easiest way to do it?

  I want to use Wicket to build an application, but I have some designers that would like to write/maintain the javascript, and they basically expect 1 JS-segment per page, and a global JS-file. I think the most natural way to add javascript in wicket is to add it per component (not per page), which would create problems for those designers (fractioned javascript, and having to write it in java-files). Is there a better way to solve this? (of course, I expect things to work after a partial refresh.) And a second (related) thing they'd like (and I'd like actually) is the possibility to request information in JSON-format through a static link , is this possible in Wicket?
