    Im using a axAcroPDFLib control taken from a Adobe Reader 9 installation to show and print user PDF documents within my C# window forms application. Everything works just fine untill the appication close... It throws the following error: The instruction at "0x0700609c" referenced memory at "0x00000014".   • SSIS package randomly hangs during execution

    Hi Guys, I am having an ongoing and painful problem with an SSIS package. The package runs every 5 minutes as an SQL Agent Job and every 2-10 days the package will start running and never stop (thus preventing further executions). If I stop the hung job manually it will begin working perfectly again in the next 5 minute interval. The SSIS package is for moving data from an Oracle database to a MSSQL 2005 database. It has 7 steps: Step 1 calls an Oracle Stored Procedure to prepare the temporary tables inside ORACLE Steps 2-6 process the data from the ORACLE tables to the MSSQL tables ORACLE - MSSQL Step 7 calls an Oracle Stored Procedure to clear the ORACLE temporary tables I suspect that the issue is caused by a communications error between the MSSQL server and the ORACLE server. Both the MSSQL database and Agent/package run on one machine with the ORACLE database running over the network. I can see that the package is hanging during the initialize operation on the Callista connection (ORACLE database). I have not been able to work out a way to either fix this issue or have the package die gracefully (an error to the log would be A-OK with me). Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

That is fine. But when i call recv(), i suddently becomes 0. Why is that? It doesn't make sense to me why recv() would take an socket file descriptor number and modify to another number. Is that normal? Am I missing something?   • ANTLR: using stringTemplate

    (I'm a Noob with Antlr)... I'm having difficulties getting my grammar with StringTemplates. Basically I'm trying to write a little DSL. I can get my grammar the way I want (it parses correctly), but I can't get the generation of the target code to work with templates. So here's a snippet of my grammar: grammar Pfig; options { output=template; language=CSharp2; } conf : globalName ; globalName : 'GlobalName:' ID -> localConf(name ={$ID.text}) ; I simplified it quite a bit just to get the essence across. Basically, when the lex/parse comes across `GlobalName: Foo' I want it to spit out text based on the StringTemplate called 'localConf'. Super straightforward. So now, let's fire up the parser in a test app and have it process an input file. // C# processing a file with the lex/parser. // the 'app.pfig' file just has one line that reads 'GlobalName: Bla' using (FileStream fs = File.OpenRead("c:\\app.pfig")) { PfigParser parser = new PfigParser(new CommonTokenStream( new PfigLexer(new ANTLRInputStream(fs)))); using (TextReader tr = File.OpenText("./Pfig.stg")) { parser.TemplateLib = new StringTemplateGroup(tr); } var parseResult = parser.conf(); string code = parseResult.Template.ToString(); // Fail: template is null } I can step through the parser code and see that it correctly identifies my text and applies the stringTemplate correctly. The problem is that since this 'globalName' rule is a subrule of 'conf' it doesn't get executed directly--the method just finds it and returns. But the calling 'Conf' method does not keep the return value from the subrule--it goes to thin air. This means that my resultant template on the last line is null. If I get rid of the 'conf' rule in my grammar and call 'globalName' directly, it will work (since it's the only rule on the stack). But I obviously want more than one rule.   • ie8 breaks with asp.net ajax

    Hello, When using asp.net ajax (scriptmanager, timer, updatepanel) with ie8, after certain time (~3h) IE breaks with null object, constructor, or paramArray (depending on the asp.net code). Even with the simplest timer (no ajax, no updatepanel) ie8 still breaks. On every other browser it works fine, and if I code the ajax myself it works. Since google and msdn forums turned up nothing I'm wondering if anybody here has had similar problems with ie8 browser.

However, I'm developing a C# app on Windows XP (64bit), and I can get to those WMI classes just fine. Users of my app will be on Windows XP sp2 with .Net 3.5 sp1. Googling around, I can't determine whether I can count on this or not. Am I successful on my system because of one or more of the following: - windows xp service pack 2? - visual studio 2008 sp1 was installed? - .Net 3.5 sp1? Should I use something other than WMI to get at the volume/mountpoint info? If the content is loaded directly, I load a page that include the content in the ContentPlaceHolder. somewhat like this : <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="BlogPlaceHolder" runat="server"> <%=Html.Partial("Partial",Model) %> </asp:Content> //same goes for the other tabs. With this in place, if I access the url "/Forums" It loads the forum content in the Blog tab first, trigger the ajax load of the Blog tab and replace the content with the blog content. I tried putting a different placeholder for each tab, but that didn't fix everything either, since when loading "/Forums" it will sure load the forum tab, but the Blog tab will show up first. Furthermore, when using separate placeholders, If I load the "/Blogs" url, It will first load the content statically in the Blog contentplaceholder and then trigger an ajax call to load it a second time and replace it. If I just link the tab to the hashtag, then when loading the forum tabs, I won't get the blog content... How would you achieve the expected behaviour? I feel like I might have a deeper probelm in the organization of my views. Is putting the tabs in the masterpage the way to go? Maybe I should just hijax the links manually and not rely on jquery-ui tabs to do the work for me. I cannot load all tabs by default and display them using the hash tags, I need an ajax loading because it is a search process that can be long. So to sum up : /Forum should load the forum tab, and let the other tabs be loaded with an ajax call when clicking on it. /Twitter should load the twitter tab and let the other tabs.... the same goes for /Blogs and any tabs I would add later. Any idea to have this working properly?

    I want to create ejbql connection in iReport, i have added all the related jars. Set the classpath to include the META-INF directory containing persistence.xml & jars. On testing connection it shows nothing, but in console it prints "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.hibernate.ejb.event.EJB3PersistEventListener null". Jar containing this class I have already added. persistence.xml content : persistence-unit name="hrmsPU" transaction-type="JTA" provider org.hibernate.ejb.HibernatePersistence provider jta-data-source java:hrmsDS jta-data-source persistence-unit

    Is there any way to Linkify a specific TextView that is contained within a ListView? I tried using android:autoLink="all" but that didn't work. I was getting an out of context error. Important also to note: the ListView is my second view in the ViewFlipper. I have also tried: View mItemView = mAdapter.getView(2, null, null); TextView infoText = (TextView) mItemView.findViewById(R.id.rowText2); Linkify.addLinks(infoText, Linkify.ALL); Right after the adapter was bound to the ListView and the View was switched. No luck.     I have written an O/R database wrapper that generates some wrapper methods for stored procs it reads from the database. Now I need to produce some custom wrapper code if an input parameter of a stored proc is defaulted to NULL. The problem is - I get stored proc parameters using: SqlCommandBuilder.DeriveParameters(command) and it doesn't bring parameter defaults. Is there any way to look up those defaults? Are they stored anywhere in the database? BTW, I'm using SQL Server 2008

    EDIT: I made something much better to fill and read data from a view using ViewModels, called it ValueInjecter. http://valueinjecter.codeplex.com/documentation using the ViewModel to store the mapping logic was not such a good idea because there was repetition and SRP violation, but now with the ValueInjecter I have clean ViewModels and dry mapping code I made a ViewModel pattern for editing stuff in asp.net mvc this pattern is usefull when you have to make a form for editing an entity and you have to put on the form some dropdowns for the user to choose some values public class OrganisationViewModel { //paramterless constructor required, cuz we are gonna get an OrganisationViewModel object from the form in the post save method public OrganisationViewModel() : this(new Organisation()) {} public OrganisationViewModel(Organisation o) { Organisation = o; Country = new SelectList(LookupFacade.Country.GetAll(), "ID", "Description", CountryKey); } //that's the Type for whom i create the viewmodel public Organisation Organisation { get; set; } #region DropDowns //for each dropdown i have a int?
