  • Recursively getting files in a directory with several sub-directories

    Hello! I was wondering if anybody here could help me out as I'm still very new to C#. I have a drive with folders w/in folders w/in folders that all contain files. Is there a way to recursively loop through the files and gather up all of these file names into a .txt file? I'm not sure how to implement this into my Console app--so does anybody have any code that might help?

Is it enough to: Let the BackgroundWorker1_DoWork method complete (I have a while loop in it now, doing some tasks) Set the variable that holds the reference to the BackgroundWorker, to null Is there some kind of Dispose() method I need to call (In the same way the Timer class has Timer.Dispose();)?

I need to get a feed of all posts with photos for a userid, average 50 posts each.   • Custom collision

    I was recently assigned to create a siple game using the Corona SDK. The main pillar of the game would be a simple event: the user should put a ball in a basket, and I should be able to handle this event. Here is a picture for better understanding: I successfully managed to create the collision shape for the basket, but i have trouble with the collision of the inside of this basket. My first thought was the following: create a new shape size and position it to fit the "belly" of this basket add it to the physics-world, and listen to the collision. With hybrid drawing it looks like this: But there is a problem: if i add this shape to the physics, it wouldn't let the ball fall into the, basket, it will handle this shape as a solid object as well. So my question is: How could I get this custom object to collide, without blocking the ball to fall through it? I have read a lots of forum post with similar questions but none of them got a proper answer. There must be a way to do this in an elegant way. And one note: Please don't suggest checking the collision manually, with rectangle intersection, because in this simple case it would work, but later I may need to change the shape of the basket, and then it will be useless!

    Hi there, If I have the report name how can I programmatically get the name of the project/folder the report is in? So for example if I have a report like so http://server/Reports/Pages/Report.aspx?ItemPath=/ReportProject1/ReportName Given "ReportName" how can I figure out that the report is in the folder "ReportProject1"? So I guess is there a function where I can pass int he report name and get it's details or else query the report server for a list of its report folders and I can loop through these and check some how that the report is inside?

    Is there an easy way to get a summary string of the errors that have been added to a controller's modelstate? I'm looking to return this in an Ajax method and want the validation errors etc to be returned to the client (i.e. the view does not exist for this method call). Or do I have to loop through the modelstate and look at each object and extract the error text manually?

I haven't added any error correction yet either (and some of my variables are vague), but would like to enter a binary say 111111 instead of 1 enter, 1 enter, 1 enter, etc to fill the array. I am open to any technique and other suggestions. Maybe input it as a string and convert it to an int? I will keep researching. Thanks.

    Hi, i am very new at jquery and code, here i am trying to get the setTimeout event to be inside the .mouseout event but i'm not sure how to do that as i keep getting syntax error in my editor. Moving the mouse to the .slidedown div should keep it open until the mouse is removed. But will this code collapse the .slidedown div if the user doesn't mouse over .slidedown after .trigger but instead moves the mouse directly from .trigger to another area of page? I.e i need some kind of 'setTimeout' that is trigged only if the user doesn't move mouse over .slidedown after hovering over .trigger. Hope i make sense. Thanks for your help!

On the etUsername, user should input the username and press Enter to go to the edit text etPassword, then he inputs the password, press Enter to login. In the debug mode, I saw that when I pressed Enter once (on the etUsername) then first: etUsername.onKey() is called and then etPassword.onKey() is also called !     I'm working with a JavaScript routine I didn't write. It is called from a text box's onkeydown attribute to prevent unwanted keystrokes. The first argument is apparently not used. The second argument is a list of characters that should be allowed. function RestrictChars(evt, chars) { var key; var keychar; if (window.event) key = window.event.keyCode; else if (e) key = e.which; else return true; keychar = String.fromCharCode(key); if ((key == null) || (key == 0) || (key == 8) || (key == 9) || (key == 13) || (key == 27)) // Control key return true; else if (((chars).indexOf(keychar) > -1)) return true; else return false; } This seems to work for alpha-numeric characters. However, characters such as . and / cause this function to return false, even when these characters are included in the chars parameter. For example, if the . key is pressed, key is set to 190, and keychar gets set to the "3/4" character. Can anyone see how this was meant to work and/or why it doesn't? I don't know enough about JavaScript to see what it's trying to do.
