  • Deploying patches and new versions.

    I'm deveoping a big project, I have the dev folder (connected to a specific subdomain) then the "real" folder, the live one. When I'm ready to push patches or whole new versions I'm currently copying the files individually, is there a program that can help me do this task? Keep in mind that some files (the config one and the htacess) must never change in the live version. Thank you

However, when I set the text in the text fields to anything, it doesn't show up when I run the program. When I get the text and print it out, it does show. What could be the problem here?

  • How can I connect to MSMQ over a workgroup?

    I'm writing a simple console client-server app using MSMQ. I'm attempting to run it over the workgroup we have set up. They run just fine when run on the same computer, but I can't get them to connect over the network. I've tried adding Direct=, OS:, and a bunch of combinations of other prefaces, but I'm running out of ideas, and obviously don't know the right way to do it. My queue's don't have GUIDs, which is also slightly confusing. Whenever I attempt to connect to a remote machine, I get an invalid queue name message. What do I have to do to make this work?     how can i have python move to the top of an if statement if nothing is satisfied correctly i have a basic if/else statement like this: print "pick a number, 1 or 2" a = int(raw_input("> ") if a == 1: print "this" if a == 2: print "that" else: print "you have made an invalid choice, try again." what i want is to prompt the user to make another choice for 'a' this if statement without them having to restart the entire program, but am very new to python and am having trouble finding the answer online anywhere.

    Does anyone have experience developing with ESQL/C for INFORMIX-SQL, as in calling C funcs within "Perform" screen generator and "ACE" report writer? I have ISQL without ESQL/C. I experimented compiling a perform screen, where in the instructions section I put "ON BEGINNING CALL userfunc() END" and although I don't have ESQL/C, the Perform screen successfully compiled without errors!.. Apparently, the compiler didn't reject the C call even though there's no ESQL/C or C program linked.

  • Best Method For Storing Values

    Basically, I want to have a database that's lightweight and I won't need to install a million other things on my clients computers for them to access this. I just need a simple method of reading and writing values so that they're not hardcoded into the program. I could do MySQL (which is what I'm very familiar with), but it doesn't need to be making calls remotely. I would have less than 10 fields and one table, if that matters. Thanks!

  • Visual Studio keeps running the old build

    Hello. I have a simple Silverlight program that displays a bunch of images. I modified it do display more images, but it when I hit "run without debugging" is keeps running the old build with fewer images. When I copy the code into a new project and run it, it works fine for the first time, but then each subsequent change is not displayed. What could be the problem? I'm using Visual Web Developer 2008 Express.

    The following Scala code does just what I expect it to - it prints each line of some_file.txt. import scala.io.Source val lines = Source.fromPath("some_file.txt").mkString for (line <- lines) print(line) If I use println instead of print, I expect to see some_file.txt printed out with double-spacing. Instead, the program prints a newline after every character of some_file.txt. Could someone explain this to me? I'm using Scala 2.8.0 Beta 1.

    I'm a little confused about scope of variables, in ruby I wrote a test program: class Test attr_reader :tester def initialize(data) @tester = data end def getData tester end end puts Test.new(11).getData now this works fine, the attr_reader, but my confusion is that since I've define attr_reader :tester then why can't I go tester = data rather then @tester = data, because when retrieving the data in getData I only have to write tester and not @tester
