    - by SJ GJ
    Am trying to middle a set of icons to the middle of screen, below is the code: <div data-role="content" class="ui-content ui-body-a" style="vertical-align: middle" data-theme="a"> <fieldset class="ui-grid-a icon-set" style="vertical-align: middle" data-theme="b"> <div class="ui-block-a center" style="vertical-align: middle"> <a href="test"> <div> <img src="css/images/test5.png" style="width: 80px;height: 80px"/> </div> <div> Login </div> </a> </div> <div class="ui-block-b center"> <a href="#settings" data-transition='slide'> <div> <img src="css/images/test4.png" style="width: 80px;height: 80px"/></div> <div>Settings</div> </a> </div> <div class="ui-block-a center"> <a href="test"> <div> <img src="css/images/test2.png" style="width: 80px;height: 80px"/></div> <div>Aboutus</div> </a> </div> <div class="ui-block-b center"> <a href="test"> <div> <img src="css/images/test1.png" style="width: 80px;height: 80px"/></div> <div>Contact Us</div> </a> </div> </fieldset> </div>

  • Debug.writeline locks

    - by Carra
    My program frequently stops with a deadlock. When I do a break-all and look at the threads I see that three threads are stuck in our logging function: public class Logging { public static void WriteClientLog(LogLevel logLevel, string message) { #if DEBUG System.Diagnostics.Debug.WriteLine(String.Format("{0} {1}", DateTime.Now.ToString("HH:mm:ss"), message)); //LOCK #endif //...Log4net logging } } If I let the program continue the threads are still stuck on that line. I can't see where this can lock. The debug class, string class & datetime class seem to be thread safe. The error goes away when I remove the "#if DEBUG System... #endif" code but I'm curious why this behavior happens. Thread one: public void CleanCache() { Logging.WriteClientLog(LogLevel.Debug, "Start clean cache.");//Stuck } Thread two: private void AliveThread() { Logging.WriteClientLog(LogLevel.Debug, "Check connection");//Stuck }

  • Why does the VS2005 debugger not report "base." values properly? (was "Why is this if statement fail

    - by Rawling
I'm working on an existing class that is two steps derived from System.Windows.Forms.Combo box. The class overrides the Text property thus: public override string Text { get { return this.AccessibilityObject.Value; } set { if (base.Text != value) { base.Text = value; } } } The reason given for that "get" is this MS bug: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814346 However, I'm more interested in the fact that the "if" doesn't work. There are times where "base.Text != value" is true and yet pressing F10 steps straight to the closing } of the "set" and the Text property is not changed. I've seen this both by just checking values in the debugger, and putting a conditional breakpoint on that only breaks when the "if" statement's predicate is true. How on earth can "if" go wrong? The class between this and ComboBox doesn't touch the Text property. The bug above shouldn't really be affecting anything - it says it's fixed in VS2005. Is the debugger showing different values than the program itself sees? Update I think I've found what is happening here. The debugger is reporting value incorrectly (including evaluating conditional breakpoints incorrectly). To see this, try the following pair of classes: class MyBase { virtual public string Text { get { return "BaseText"; } } } class MyDerived : MyBase { public override string Text { get { string test = base.Text; return "DerivedText"; } } } Put a breakpoint on the last return statement, then run the code and access that property. In my VS2005, hovering over base.Text gives the value "DerivedText", but the variable test has been correctly set to "BaseText". So, new question: why does the debugger not handle base properly, and how can I get it to?

  • How to test Guice Singleton?

    - by 01
Guice Singletons are weird for me First I thought that IService ser = Guice.createInjector().getInstance(IService.class); System.out.println("ser=" + ser); ser = Guice.createInjector().getInstance(IService.class); System.out.println("ser=" + ser); will work as singleton, but it returns ser=Service2@1975b59 ser=Service2@1f934ad its ok, it doesnt have to be easy. Injector injector = Guice.createInjector(); IService ser = injector.getInstance(IService.class); System.out.println("ser=" + ser); ser = injector.getInstance(IService.class); System.out.println("ser=" + ser); works as singleton ser=Service2@1975b59 ser=Service2@1975b59 So i need to have static field with Injector(Singleton for Singletons) how do i pass to it Module for testing?

  • Patterns for avoiding jQuery silent fails

    - by Matias
Is there any good practice to avoid your jQuery code silently fail? For example: $('.this #is:my(complexSelector)').doSomething(); I know that every time this line get executed, the selector is intended to match at least one element, or certain amount of elements. Is there any standard or good way to validate that? I thought about something like this: var $matchedElements = $('.this #is:my(complexSelector)'); if ($matchedElements.length < 0) throw 'No matched elements'; $matchedElements.doSomething(); Also I think unit testing would be a valid option instead of messing the code. My question may be silly, but I wonder whether there is a better option than the things that I'm currently doing or not. Also, maybe I'm in the wrong way checking if any element match my selector. However, as the page continues growing, the selectors could stop matching some elements and pieces of functionality could stop working inadvertently.

  • Bootstrap inline button dropdown within <p> jumbotron

    - by C.B.
Currently I have a jumbotron setup with some paragraph text, and I would like to stick a button dropdown inline with the text. Dropdown button <span class="btn-group"> <button type="button" class="btn btn-default dropdown-toggle" data-toggle="dropdown"> Button... <span class="caret"></span> </button> <ul class="dropdown-menu" role="menu"> <li><a href="#">Opt 1</a></li> <li><a href="#">Opt 2</a></li> </ul> </span> Jumbotron <div class="jumbotron"> <h1>Hello!</h1> <p>Welcome</p> <p>Another paragraph <!-- dropdown is here --> </p> </div> <!-- jumbotron --> If the dropdown is within the <p> tag, it does not "dropdown" (but renders). If it is outside of the <p> tag it functions fine, but I would like it to be inline with the text and need the text to be in the <p> tag to get the style. Any ideas? Things to note -- If I replace the <span> tags with <div> tags, it will work fine within the <p> tags, but won't be inline.

  • Need Help: adding MouseListeners to JComponents (Drawing a JComponent and then attaching a MouseListener)

    - by user1074574
Drawing a JComponent and then attaching a MouseListener seems very simple to me, but not in this case: I'm having a problem with a MouseListener attached to a child JComponent; here's some brief code to help describe it: Note: The BGT class has implemented ActionListers/MouseListeners that do not have any code in them, and 'figures' is an array of SwingThings. public class GC extends BGT{ public GC(){ super(); buildJMenu(); drawPanel.addMouseListener(this); //drawPanel being the panel that draws the JComponents (it is a public variable in the BGT class) drawPanel.addMouseMotionListener(this); this.addMouseListener(this); } public static void main(String[] args){ GC a = new GC(); }... public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) { System.out.println(e.getSource()); //This only seems to print out the DrawPanel's information }... public void mouseReleased(MouseEvent e) { repaint(); ... tempMyJTextField = new MyJTextField(startX, startY, width, height); tempMyJTextField.addMouseListener(this); tempMyJTextField.addMouseMotionListener(this); figures.add(tempMyJTextField); for(int i = 0; i < figures.size(); i++) figures.get(i).addTo(drawPanel); } This is the addTo method in the MyJTextField class: public class MyJTextField extends JTextField implements SwingThing{ ... public void addTo(JPanel p) { p.add(myTextField); } ... } In the MouseClicked event it never registers that the JComponent was clicked. (The drawing/painting works fine) Thanks.

  • connecting to multiple resources

    - by Dudu
I would like to know if there is a way to connect to multiple resources: Specifically I have the following problem abstact class BaseClass { ObservableCollection<BaseClass>; } class GrandSonClass:BaseClass{} class SonClass:BaseClass{} class FatherClass:BaseClass { CollectionViewSource col = new CollectionViewSource ; col.Source = Items.SelectMany(p => p.Items); } FatherClass's Items are of ChildrenClass type, and ChildrenClass's Items are of GrandSonClass type; I want FatherClass to bind to all the GrandSonClass's items it possesses. The solution of using SelectMany is not good as I need this to be dynamically updated whenever FatherClass adds more Items and whenever its Items(SonClasses) add more Items. Now I could go on and write notifiaction events but I was wondering if there is a smarter way to do it -i.e. simply define the sources as the Items of each Item FatherClass posses

  • Is there a way to deserialize an object into "$this"?

    - by Andreas Bonini
I'm writing a class to handle a memcached object. The idea was to create abstract class Cachable and all the cachable objects (such as User, Post, etc) would be subclasses of said class. The class offers some method such as Load() which calls the abstract function LoadFromDB() if the object is not cached, functions to refresh/invalidate the cache, etc. The main problem is in Load(); I wanted to do something similar: protected function Load($id) { $this->memcacheId = $id; $this->Connect(); $cached = $this->memcache->get(get_class($this) . ':' . $id); if($cached === false) { $this->SetLoaded(LoadFromDB($id)); UpdateCache(); } else { $this = $cached; $this->SetLoaded(true); } } Unfortunately I need $this to become $cached (the cached object); is there any way to do that? Was the "every cachable object derives from the cachable class" a bad design idea?

  • Why Isn't My .Net Object Serializable?

    - by Rob P.
I've got a 'MyDataTable' class that inherits from System.Data.DataTable I've implemented ISerializable in my class and have a 'Public Overrides Sub GetObjectData...' But when I try to serialize the an object of 'MyDataTable' I get an error saying that 'MyDataTable' is not marked as serializable. If I used a DataTable instead - my code serializes correctly. If I add a serializable attribute to the 'MyDataTable' class - it serializes correctly, but I'm told that is unnecessary if I implement ISerializable. Can someone point me in the right direction?

  • Is there a straightforward way to have a thread-local instance variable?

    - by Dan Tao
With the ThreadStatic attribute I can have a static member of a class with one instance of the object per thread. This is really handy for achieving thread safety using types of objects that don't guarantee thread-safe instance methods (e.g., System.Random). It only works for static members, though. Is there any straightforward way to declare a class member as thread-local, meaning, each class instance gets an object per thread?

  • on .bind('click') it is not deleting the first div

    - by Jean
    Hello, When I click on a particular div, that div should fade out, simple, but when I click on one of the divs it deletes the div on top of the stack. ie., when I click #sel6 it removes sel5 html code <div id="selc" class="selc" style="position:absolute; left:15px; top:200px; width:260px;"> <div id="sel5" class="sel">something</div> <div id="sel6" class="sel">something</div> <div id="sel7" class="sel">something</div> </div jquery code sel_id, sel_1 are variables $('.selc').bind('click',function(){ var sel_id = $('.sel').attr('id'); alert(sel_id); $('#'+sel_id).fadeOut('slow'); $('#'+sel_id).remove(); $('.search_box').append(sel_1); }); Thanks Jean

  • Should I denormalize a has_many has_many?

    - by Cameron
I have this: class User < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :serials has_many :sites, :through => :series end class Serial < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :user belongs_to :site has_many :episodes end class Site < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :serials has_many :users, :through => :serials end class Episode < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :serial end I would like to do some operations on User.serials.episodes but I know this would mean all sorts of clever tricks. I could in theory just put all the episode data into serial (denormalize) and then group_by Site when needed. If I have a lot of episodes that I need to query on would this be a bad idea? thanks

  • Show a SplashScreenScene before to GameScene?

    - by lisovaccaro
I want to add a splash screen to my game. I created a SplashScene.sks and a SplashScene.swift file. I'm trying to load my SplashScene before GameScene but I cannot manage to do it. How should I do this? This is what I'm trying now: class GameViewController: UIViewController { override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() let skView = self.view as SKView skView.ignoresSiblingOrder = true /* Set the scale mode to scale to fit the window */ var scene = SplashScreenScene() // Present SplashScreenScene first scene.scaleMode = .AspectFill skView.presentScene(scene) } Then on my SplashScreenScene: class SplashScreenScene: SKScene { override func didMoveToView(view: SKView) { self.size = view.bounds.size self.anchorPoint = CGPointMake(0.5, 0.5) var background = SKSpriteNode(imageNamed:"LaunchImage") self.addChild(background) // Start timer to load next scene NSTimer.scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval(1, target: self, selector: Selector("changeScene"), userInfo: nil, repeats: false) } func changeScene() { let scene = GameScene() view.presentScene(scene) } } This is very close to the solution, however for some reason when I do this my game becomes laggy (if I present GameScene directly the game runs fine).

  • Blockquote border on tumblr theme

    - by orange
This is the code for the link block: {block:Link} <div class="post link"> <h2> <a href="{URL}" class="name">{Name}</a></h2> <div class="content"> {block:Description}{Description}{/block:Description} <span class="date"> <a href="{Permalink}">{ShortMonth} {DayOfMonth}, {Year} </a> </span> </div> </div> {/block:Link} What I'm trying to do is add a border-left of of 10px to block quotes. When I try to add this style to block quotes this happens: The block quote border flows into the post title and I don't wish for this to happen, I want the border layout to stay within the content div. I'm using this CSS at the moment: div div div blockquote { border-left: 10px solid red; } Thanks in advance for the help! Just to clarify <div class="post link"> is in another div. Example case for setting a timer: TMyClass = class public procedure TimerProc(Wnd:HWND; uMsg:DWORD; idEvent:PDWORD; dwTime:DWORD); procedure DoIt; end; [...] procedure TMyClass.DoIt; begin SetTimer(0, 0, 8, @TimerProc); // <-???- that's what I want to do (last param) end; Thanks for your help! Edit: The goal is to specify a method of this class as callback. No procedure outside the class.

  • Is base method able to use derived base data members?

    - by iTayb
Lets assume we have the following code: abstract class Base1 { protected int num; } class Der1:Base1 { protected Color color; protected string name; } class Der2:Base1 { protected DateTime dthen; } and so on. An array of base1 type exists and includes many objects created out of classes that are derived from base1. Is it possible to define the toString() method in the base class only? something like: public override string toString() { if (this is Der1) return "num = " + this.num + "color = " + this.color.toString() + " name = " this.name; if (this is Der2) return "num = " + this.num + "dthen = " + this.dthen.toString(); // and so on ... } Thank you very much :) P.S. This is not an homework question. I've just wondered about.

  • How to override jquery's show() and hide() functions

    - by Max Williams
hi all Short version of question: see title Long version of question: I've used jquery's show() and hide() functions extensively in my code and just encountered a bit of a problem: they work by changing the display attribute of the element to 'block' or 'none' respectively, so that if you have somethin that has display: inline and then hide and show it, you've changed its display to block, which screws up the layout in a couple of cases. In my code, whenever i want something to be hidden initially i give it a class 'hidden'. This class is simply {display: none}. I'd like the change show and hide to remove or add this class, instead of directly changing the display attribute, so that if you add the hidden class and then remove it again (ie hide and show something) then it's back to exactly how it was to start off with (since adding a class overrides the attributes rather than directly changing them). Something like this (this is a little pseucodey as i don't know how to set the function up properly - let's assume that 'this' is the object that show/hide was called on) function show(){ this.removeClass("hidden"); } function hide(){ this.addClass("hidden"); } how and where would i go about overriding the jquery methods? (I'm not a javascript expert) thanks - max
