• how to programatically set the current page for UIPageControl?

  I have 3 "pages" (page 0, page 1, page 2) in a UIScrollView that are snapped to by finger swipes. There is a UIPageControl there too. The UIScrollView starts off presenting page 0. What I want to do is present page 3 FIRST sometimes. How can I do this programatically. Simply setting currentPage (of UIPageControl) to the page number does nothing by the way.

I implemented the IEquatable<>.Equals but it's not really working on the client side. Contains() always returns false.   I'm trying to write a custom servlet (for AJAX/JSON) in which I would like to reference my @ManagedBeans by name. I'm hoping to map: http://host/app/myBean/myProperty to: @ManagedBean(name="myBean") public class MyBean { public String getMyProperty(); } Is it possible to load a bean by name from a regular servlet? Is there a JSF servlet or helper I could use for it? I seem to be spoilt by Spring in which all this is too obvious.

  Is it possible to create a one to zero or one relationship in Linq2SQL? My understanding is that to create a one to one relationship you create a FK relationship on the PK of each table. But you cannot make the PK nullable, so I don't see how to make a one to zero or one relationship work? I'm using the designer to automatically create the model - so I would like to know how to set up the SQL tables to induce the relationship - not some custom ORM code.

I was expecting them to be like normal widow dialog color. Any clue to make the property sheet, pages background to be like other normal MFC dialogs appears? • Qt/win: showMaximized() overlapping taskbar on a frameless window

  I'm building an application that has its own custom chrome. I have turned the default window border off by setting the flag: this->setWindowFlags(Qt::FramelessWindowHint); After this flag is set and the default window border is turned off, any calls to: this->showMaximized(); result in a window that takes up the entire screen, overlapping the task bar. Is there a common work around for this or another method I should be calling instead of showMaximized()? Win7/Qt4.6

  Instead of www.example.com/author/xyz, I want to use www.example.com/artist/xyz. I was hoping it was as easy as copying author.php to artist.php in my theme directory, but no such luck.   Has the menu & toolbar customization functionality in VS2010 been reduced? I can't seem to be able to select an icon for an added command, nor set it to be icon-only. Previous versions of Visual Studio supported this functionality and even allowed the creation/editing of custom icons. Is this something that has suffered as a result of the move to the WPF-authored UI or am I missing something?

• Multi-step Workflows: make Workflow A depend on results of Workflow B and/or Workflow C

  I have been tasked with creating a Software Installation Approval section for our Intranet. When a person requests that a particular piece of software be installed on their workstation, we need to get IT approval and then business approval. Once those are obtained, it is to be installed. I am using Sharepoint Designer to do this. I have List A, where the user enters the information on the requested software. Workflow A then creates a Task in List B, which is then assigned to the IT approver. Workflow B works on List B on item creation, setting the due dates, titles, and other fields, and then pauses until the due date. The IT approver works with the business side and completes the task. Once List B task is complete, the item in List A should be marked as complete -- I have everything up to this point working fine. I want to make this more robust in 2 ways. As the only real option is to mark List B task as "completed", which essentially means "Approved", we have no way of really denying a request. What I want to add is the option to approve or deny a request through the task on List B -- if it is approved, I want the item in List A to continue to show "In Progress" with a custom status of "Approved", and I want to create a new task for software installation; once the installation task is marked as completed, then I want List A to show "Completed" with a status of "Installed". If it is denied, I want the item in List A to show as "Completed", with a status of "Denied". The problem is, I'm not even sure where to start making these modifications. Creating and modifying the custom status fields isn't that big of an issue -- I have messed around with this and I'm fairly confident I can do this easily. My main concern is that I know I will need a Workflow C, but I don't know where or how to trigger this to get the results I need. I've managed to get Workflows A and B working fine, but anything beyond this is really pushing the limit of my knowledge. It's probably obvious that I am rather new to Sharepoint workflows. I was very much thrust into this position and I am still feeling my way around. Thanks in advance for any help!
