    I use firefox with a lot of anti-ad extension, like adblock, NoScript, Ghosty etc. I found this IP 220.191.158.69 always in the list of NoScript, I want to ban this IP. I have checked it, searched it. It is from China telecom damn Ad. I guess NoScript can ban this IP already, but When I do not allow that IP, sometimes a webpage can not be loaded at first time, I need to refresh two or more times. I hate it... So I hope there are some way or browser extensions or script can jump through this damn IP.

    I am trying to activate the CDN tools plugin and I keep getting the following error: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /srv/www/www.triathleteskitchen.com/wp-content/plugins/cdn-tools/cdn_classes/cloudfiles/cloudfiles_http.php on line 252 After extensive research on this issue in which I updated both of the following settings: max_execution_time = 300 memory_limit = 128M and verified the settings are active by setting up a dump phpinfo() page.     The transaction ID for DNS queries can take values from 1 to 65,536 and my computer pseudorandomly chooses one for each DNS request. If I sents 1,024 false replies per request, how many requests should I trigger to compromise the DNS cache with probability 99%? or as close tot hat as I can get. Thanks I'm getting a result of .6 requests which doesn't seem right to me. Feel as though it should be around 30

  • !! 0xc01a00d !! aka Vista won't boot

    Answer: Parts of the hard drive are corrupted. All of my user's code was checked in, so I'm just going to format the box. One of my users has an HP DV5-1235dx laptop running Windows Vista Professional x64. Last night, our WSUS server pushed out a few updates including "Security Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB960859)". When we try to boot the laptop today, a black screen with white text comes up displaying: xxx/169894 (something) Where xxx increments rapidly and something is some dll or registry key. Eventually that stops and the screen displays !! 0xc01a00d !! 35566/169894 (\Registry\Machine\COMPONENTS\DerivedDat...) No other computers that received this update are displaying the same error. So far I've tried running CHKDSK off of HBCD. It repaired a thing or two, but the computer still doesn't boot. I tried repairing the Windows install from the Vista CD, but I get a black screen with white text displaying something along the lines of: 0 No Emulation System Type 00 1 No Emulation System Type 00 Select one of the above Booting in Last Known Good Configuration doesn't work. Booting in Safe Mode freezes at Loading Windows Files [snip] Loaded: \windows\system32\drivers\crcdisk.sys Please wait... My next step is trying to boot Safe Mode with Command Prompt and try to run rstrui.exe. While I do that, does anybody have any guidance? Edit: Booting into Safe Mode with Command Prompt will not work. See Booting in Safe Mode above. Edit 2: I managed to boot from the Vista DVD.   • Monitor RAM usage on CentOS and restart Apache at a certain usage

    Hi, I'm running a CentOS 5.3 server with a basic LAMP stack. I've optimized LAMP and my code to run efficiently as possible, but Apache has a memory leak somewhere that kills my server every hour or so. What is the best way to write a script that will monitor the memory usage and if it peaks over, say, 450MB kill all the Apache processes and restart Apache. I know C++/PHP and basic Linux server administration but I'm not familiar with Perl or bash scripting. I'd be open to learn any solutions, though, as a temporary solution while I find the issue.

  • OSX Samba Server

    Hello I have a MacPro that I'm using as a local file server. I mapped a directory on the secondary hard drive of the MacPro as a drive on our local Windows box. It worked fine for about a week and then suddenly stopped working. The windows computer gives the error that it's an invalid username and password however I have checked and double checked to ensure that the user and pass are correct to no avail. Anyone have any ideas on what's going on here?

  • Troubleshooting inconsistent ODBC connectivity

    I'm attempting to integrate UPS WorldShip with a SQL Server 2008 R2 database but the connection is very inconsistent. UPS claims this is a DSN/Windows problem and I have not been able to convince them otherwise. The integration is quite simple: my shipping guy clicks a button which opens a form where he enters an order #. After pressing enter the shipping information will be pulled from the database for that order #. The problem is that WorldShip often times thinks the DSN does not exist. However, I am able to open WorldShip's customization tool and browse all the tables and fields in the database my DSN is connected to which means at the very least my DSN does, in fact, exist. The reason this has been so difficult to troubleshoot is because there is no consistency to the problem and I'm not able to reliably repeat any behavior. That is to say that rebooting the PC doesn't cause the connection to break and opening the integration tool and viewing the tables and fields doesn't cause the integration button to work. Is there some way for me to monitor this connection from the SQL server or get any clues as to why it fails? As requested by TallTed here is a sample of the trace file I created.   • Problem linking two Cisco routers with a static route

    I'm trying to link two Cisco routers with a static route and I haven't been able to get it working as expected. Here is the basic setup: Router 1 - WRV210 - 192.168.1.1 - connected to cable modem Router 2 - RV120W - 192.168.2.1 I already have several machines on Router 1 that are working and I want to setup Router 2 with a few other machines on the different subnet. Here is what I've configured: Connected the WAN port on Router 2 to a LAN port on Router 1 Configured Router 1 to give 192.168.1.2 to Router 2 via DHCP Configured Router 1 with a static route (192.168.2.0 mask 255.255.255.0) to 192.168.1.2 using the LAN & Wireless interface Disabled the firewall on Router 2 (since it is covered by Router 1) Configured Router 2 to "Router" mode instead of "NAT" mode Configured Router 2 with a static route (192.168.1.0 mask 255.255.255.0) to 192.168.1.1 using the WAN interface From the research I've done I think that should be enough but things aren't working exactly as expected: Router 2 can ping 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.101 (a machine on router 1) A machine on Router 2 can ping 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.101 (a machine on router 1) ping 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.101 (a machine on router 1) Router 1 can NOT ping 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.2.101 (a machine on router 2) A machine on Router 1 can NOT ping 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.2.101 (a machine on router 2) can NOT ping 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.2.101 (a machine on router 2) Router 1 and a machine on Router 1 can ping 192.168.1.2 (Router 2 itself) I'm confused as to why Router 1 cannot talk to the 192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0 subnet.   • Virutal Machine loses network connectivity on Hyper V

    We're running a number of VMs on a 6 node failover cluster of blades using Hyper V. We have an intermittent issue (every few days at different times - not a fixed frequency) of VMs losing network connectivity. Console access to the VM suggests all is fine and the underlying blade has normal connectivity. To resolve the problem we either have to re-start the VM or, more usually, we do a live migration to another blade which fires up connectivity and we then migrate it back to the original blade. I've had 3 instances of this happen with a specific VM running on a particular blade however it has happened once with a different VM running on a different blade. All VMs and blades have the same basic setup and are running Windows 2008 R2. Any ideas where I should be looking to diagnose the possible causes of this problem as the event logs provide no help?

  • Is there a way to import email from the raw email files?

    I have a client who recently switched hosts. When they switched hosts they didn't backup their email and updated their configuration settings so they lost everything. However, I was able to log in to their old hosting control panel and download their mail folder. I am wondering if there is a way to extract their emails and/or contacts from the files. I'm not sure what type of files they are, there is no extension, but the folder directory is structured like this: mail/ .Drafts/ .Sent/ .Trash/ cur/ new/ theirdomain.com/ tmp/ [email protected] maildir Inside of the theirdomain.com folder, there is a folder for each account and inside of that is a folder called "cur" which has a whole bunch of files with names like 1292945327.H169813P25958.uscentral21.myserverhosts.com,S=10117/2,S and if I preview those files I can see the actual email messages inside of them but I have no idea how to get that information from those files to an email client. Anyone know of a way to work with these files? Thanks in advance for any insight you can share!

  • SBS 2011 backup

    I have a freshly installed SBS 2011 server that I need to configure for backup. I tried using the SBS backup configuration tool, but it didn't want to use anything but an external drive. Previously, with our W2K3 servers, I used NTBackup to back up the server to disk and then copied the backup files to a remote server on a regular basis. It doesn't appear this is possible with the built-in backup tools in SBS 2011. Am I missing something? What other options are there that won't cost an arm and a leg?

    I got a Windows 7 computer for Christmas and I like the Sticky Notes application. But twice now, the sticky notes have disappeared after an automatic Windows Update. I managed to navigate system restore and recover them, but it was a pain. The update seems to be deleting StikyNot.exe, but I haven't been able to find any info on why. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas how to prevent it from happening again?

    I have my Git repository hosted at github.com. I would like to push updates and such to github.com and then log into my Windows server and do a git pull to get my changes. Is this optimal? It seems like whenever I try to do a git pull on the server, the files seem to get updated somehow since the last pull. And so I am unable to get the update as git says I need to commit my local (Windows server) changes. How can I use git like I want to? Or is there a better way?

  • Is there a Windows 7 add-on that will put the PID in the title bar of a window?

    Occasionally I run many instances of something, like Chrome or Visual Studio. Rarely, but often enough to bug me, one of them gets hosed and starts to consume 100% CPU. I can fire up the task manager to see which process is using 100%, but if it just says chrome.exe or devenv.exe, I don't know which window is the culprit. I'd like to know before terminating the process, so I can activate the app and shut it down cleanly. The best I've found so far is to use Process Explorer's feature where I can right click a process and say "bring to front". But I am curious as to whether there is an app that will put the PID(s) right in the title bar of the window so I can tell which window matches the process. I am using Windows 7 64-bit.

    Have a few computers running Linux Centos 6.4. They are connected to an unmanaged switch, which in turn, is connected to a router (Verzion Fios issue). What is a good way to "log in" to one of the computers so that I can run commands? Do I need to use SSH, or something different? Since the computers do not have their own public-facing IP addresses, do I need to set up some kind of port forwarding within the router? What is a simple, reliable way to accomplish this?   • WinXP: File Record Segment nnnn is unreadable?

    I'm pretty sure that the drive is toast, except for the fact that this error is only showing up on one partition (it's out of a Dell computer, and has a couple of Dell partitions, which boot and work fine.) I've already purchased another hard drive, and re-installed WinXP, but when I re-connect this drive and reboot, I'm getting thousands of these errors. Is there any chance of recovering any files off this? Should I prevent XP from trying to resolve the problems?

  • Please wait for User Profile Service... on WIndows 7 takes around 1-2 minutes to process

    When loggging into our domain, after entering account credentials the log in process takes around 1-2 minutes before it gets past the User Profile Service, the rest of the process takes 2-3 secs. This effects all machines running Windows 7 Enteprise 32-bit and is on fairly high spec laptops (SSD drives, i5 2.93Ghz CPU, 4GB memory). Is there any way to speed this up or is this time delay acceptable? Thanks in advance.

    I'm trying to use NtBackup to back up the C: Drive on a Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 machine and get the following error in the log file: Backup Status Operation: Backup Active backup destination: 4mm DDS Media name: "Media created 04/02/2011 at 21:56" Error: The device reported an error on a request to read data from media. Error reported: Invalid command. There may be a hardware or media problem. Please check the system event log for relevant failures. Error: C: is not a valid drive, or you do not have access. The operation did not successfully complete. I'm using a brand new SATA Quantum Dat-72 drive with a brand new tape (tried a couple of tapes). I carry out the following: Open NTBackup Select Backup Tab Tick the box next to C: Ensure Destination is 4mm DDS Media is set to New Press Start Backup Choose Replace the data on the media and press Start Backup NTBackup tries to mount the media Error Message shows: The device reported an error on a request to read data from media. Error reported: INvalid command. There may be a hardware or media problem. Please check the system event log for relevant failures.
